The platform was built to solve a frustration familiar to anyone who has ever managed a construction project: the time lost hunting down materials, ringing round suppliers, and managing multiple accounts and invoices. BuyMaterials replaces that process with a single, simple workflow. Customers build a list of what they need, set a delivery date, and submit it to the network. Local merchants then compete for the business by submitting their best prices through the platform. The customer reviews the offers and places their order in one click. What used to take hours of phone calls and site visits now takes minutes. The platform serves three main audiences. Trade and professional customers, including builders, contractors and specialist tradespeople, benefit most from the time savings and the ability to manage multiple projects and materials lists in one place. Self-builders get access to competitive merchant pricing that has historically been difficult to secure without an established trade relationship. DIY and home customers can search thousands of products across categories including building materials, timber and sheet materials, plumbing and heating, electrical, fixings, tools and more. A key differentiator is the Universal Trade Account. Rather than applying for credit with each merchant individually, trade customers register once and gain access to 30-day credit terms across every merchant in the network. This removes one of the traditional barriers to switching suppliers and makes it practical to buy from whichever merchant offers the best price, rather than whichever one already has a credit file open. DIY First Time Customer
I am a DIY customer and used Buy Materials for the first time. I found it easy to use and I got a great deal on fencing supplies. I’d usually buy from B&Q but I got a better price and better quality from a local company.

I honestly can’t recommend these guys enough- they’re brilliant!
I’m a DIYer, embarking on a huge project. The thought of spending thousands of pounds on loads of different types of materials was intimidating. BuyMaterials took all that stress away, ensuring I paid a good price for quality materials, incredibly simply.
Jonathan especially was fantastic. Helping juggle multiple merchants, materials that weren’t on their website and changes to the quote.
Their response time was insanely quick to everything & Jonathan was always warm, friendly and knowledgeable.
Thanks guys- I’ll be using you again, whatever my next project may be.!

Tradey prices for a DIY-er
I'll admit I'm a novice... but constantly doing projects round my house. Always felt a little out of place going to tradey places, so it's awesome I can put an order in online, get the trade prices, and get my stuff no worries 👌

I found the service very easy to use as a DIYer. I think I got a good price from local merchants and all the materials came on time and in good condition. I recieved very good customer service from Stewart, head of operations. I would definitely use again.

Convenient and cost saving
I spent a lot of time researching materials to find the best price but these guys managed to undercut most items saving me money.
In addition, dealing with just one company means one delivery fee, one set of emails, one payment.
Delivery was on schedule, materials were as described and customer service was exceptional.
Would highly recommend.

Extremely useful website
This is a brilliant website for rapidly getting multiple quotes. I received everything I needed quickly and at a great price. Communication was also excellent. The only slight niggle is that I was told I’d get a small rebate for my first order but it didn’t arrive. Otherwise highly recommended.
Edit - I was too hasty with this review and have just received the rebate.

Great team, great savings
Great team, massive thanks to Stewart and the rest of the team that have helped me. They go above and beyond to help. They will even look for items not listed on their site if you need them.
