I am absolutely obsessed with my purchases from Calm Over Chaos. I feel like I’ve been searching for exactly these products for years and now I’ve found them!

I first saw the glitter pens advertised on IG in July and (after checking here) I had to try them! They are the best glitter pens I have ever bought, and I’ve tried a lot.

I’ve loved learning how to use the brush pens and aqua brush. The tutorials were really helpful and I’m getting the hang of it now. I’m really enjoying the time I spend colouring.

I highly recommend the Boredom Buster as a starting point, if you’re interesting and don’t know where to start.

The drawings in the colouring books and subscription sheets are big and bold and contain mental health and self care messages and much more.

Eve from Customer Service is really helpful. She was great when I had a problem with one of the pens. This only happened once, after many, many purchases!

Purchased after seeing them on TikTok. Several brush pens were dry and work sporadically. The glitter pens are not worth it. Mine run out within a few days. Contacted customer service which was really slow on the responses, who informed me I wasn’t to actually use them as pens and just use for ‘pops of colour’ which would be fine, however 3 had hardly been used at all. Wouldn’t waste your money, it’s good marketing but the product doesn’t match. Save yourself some money.

I could not recommend Calm Over Chaos’ products enough - from the inspirational quotes in the books, to the high quality pens (brush and alcohol markers), Millie genuinely cares about her customers and making the world a better place which I wholeheartedly support. She also donates some of the proceeds to various charities which is incredible.

I have since bought colouring books for my friends and family!

I’ve noticed a huge shift in my mental health by giving myself time to switch off and colour in these books. Can’t wait to see what else Millie comes out with next

Brush pens are expensive and poor quality. No better than using the cheapest brush pens from b&m.

Absolutely shocking customer service, pens sent most don't work 😡 and also iv come to discover you can get the exact same pens on shein and temu so clearly they are buying them from there and packing in there own pack it's all nonsense about IV tested so many pens to find the perfect set no you're bulk buying of shein and temu and being dishonest to your customers disgusting also sits on tik tok slating customers who dare to complain

I used to really enjoy art when I was younger, but it’s sadly been something that I have lost touch with over the years.
I came across Calm Over Chaos and I thought I’d dip my toes back in, and oh my goodness I can’t thank Millie enough for creating such gorgeous colouring pages and pens etc! I feel like I have found a missing piece of myself 🥺.
I started off buying one colouring book and some pens… I now have four and more pens!! As someone who’s struggled with their mental health for a long long time, I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have found something that helps my mind quieten down and brings me peace.
The customer service team (when I have spoken to them) have always been wonderful, friendly and really kind!
I highly recommend Calm Over Chaos, and I’m excited to expand my collection!

I ordered from them - two books and pens at great cost. I was offered free delivery or 24hr tracked at the cost of £5. They were intended as a gift so I opted for the £5 charge. I ordered on a Sunday afternoon and the goods didn't arrive until the Wednesday. They didn't dispatch them until well after 24 hours and then Royal Mail sent them somewhere else so it was delayed for another day.

Very reasonably, I asked for this cost to be refunded. I have never been treated so appalling by a customer service agent or in such a miserly, stingy way by a company.

They did not provide the service I paid for.

Please see below excerpts from their horrible emails to me. I had lots of back and forth with them and ultimately said I would have to write a negative review if this couldn't be resolved. They chose to characterise this as "blackmailing" even though there is nothing inaccurate in my assertions and they acknowledged that they did not deliver in the promised timescale. This was after they had repeatedly responded to me, but repeatedly refused to refund me for a service they hadn't provided. Pay no heed to all their promises to be available to support customers. I actually cannot believe how unkind a company that purports to be about supporting mental health could be.

We really are sorry you are not happy with this process however blackmailing us is not exactly the best approach when trying to negotiate a refund and is a level we refuse to stoop to. You are more than welcome to write reviews, we have this option available for our customers and expect that we will not receive 5's all the time.

Unfortunately, as I have stated, this issue was out of our control and we got unlucky with a slight delay, this doesn't mean that the service wasn't fulfilled. The service was still completed.

We work incredibly hard at creating a safe space for our customers and try to be as inclusive and understanding as we possibly can however we have decided to leave this here as we see no reason to continue the back and forth and will not tolerate being blackmailed or manipulated into doing anything to avoid a negative review. This is a process we have in place for everyone.

It really is unfortunate that there was a delay in the delivery of your order however we are not responsible for any delays once orders are shipped. We fulfilled your order within the timeframe we provide and as I stated, sometimes these issues do just occur without much we can do to resolve them.

Not taking any responsibility for the service I paid them for.

The business owner then posted on Instagram said I had "thrown abuse" at the customer service agent and "threatened" her. The harshest word I had used to describe their service was "disappointing." I honestly cannot fathom what is going through their minds when they choose to publicly call out customers simply asking for appropriate customer service as "abusive." This is such an insult to those who have actually suffered abuse and the complete antithesis of what their company purports to stand for.

This was a really, really awful experience and I can only implore you to not provide this business with any more custom. I didn't know it was possible to be publicly attacked by a business owner, but here we are. I should have known better because there are other reviews saying the same thing, so it would appear that being publicly unkind about others they have given poor service to is indeed at the heart of this supposedly "kind" business.

Their response contains wholly deceitful information about my interactions with them, theirs with me and the advertised delivery. This would have been immediately resolved had they refunded me for the service they didn't provide. They keep saying they decided not to communicate with me once I said I would leave a bad review. They were not willing to do the right thing even before this and then started gaslighting me from that point onwards. The business owner did publicly talk about me. I didn't say she named me, I said she talked about me - which she did. An embarrassing way to conduct yourself. It is completely within their power to rectify this and they have chosen not to and then defended this.

Scrolling on instagram I ended up finding Calm Over Chaos, immediately was obsessed but at the time I only ever coloured random sheets of paper during my night shifts to help me get through them. During a spell of continued night shifts I decided to take the plunge and order myself a book and some pens, and now I’ve got 3 books and 4 sets of pens. The books are amazing quality and so are the pens, the messages and drawings in the books are beautifully done. I now colour to unwind from a stressful job, it has massively helped my mental health and a way for me to switch off for a couple of hours.

Highly recommend and I can’t wait to order more books and pens in the future😁.

Returned to purchase a gift for my friend who was going through it, i emailed a query about my purchase and got a quick and helpful reply. I sent them a care package and they absolutely loved it, i love the additions of face mask etc in the care package so thoughtful and being able to send it straight to the recipient is amazing

Wow, just wow! I've tried a few colouring books and pens / pencils but always got frustrated as nothing I did looked good (I am most definitely not an artist). BUT the set I got from Calm over Chaos is everything I was looking for. The glitter pens are so smooth and colour really brightly and the design of the book means even I can make something that looks awesome. Best of all, zero bleed through from the pens to the reverse of the page (because the book paper is such good quality). Since my parcel arrived in the post I've coloured for 2 happy hrs straight pausing only to write this review. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. What are you waiting for, go buy from this awesome small business.

I don’t have much time to colour so been following for a while but only just ordered a calendar (can do 1 per month, fab idea!). Beautiful, really good quality product and you can tell no expense is spared and lovely little touches on the packaging. Can really tell love has gone into this business!

Only thing I found odd was I never received an email order confirmation or dispatch email, I definitely put the right email as I can log in to my account and see my order, doesn’t matter to me but not sure if there was a glitch to be aware of :)

Been ordering from this company for a while. One of the books I had ordered arrived damaged which understandably can happen but I was then expected to pay to return it? How can you send out a faulty product then expect the customer to pay to return it?
Really awful customer service which is a shame as the actual quality of the items is really good and I have spent a lot of money in the past.

Won’t be ordering anything again and will ensure others know not to aswell as everything is all well and good until there is an issue which they don’t want to compensate for.

EDIT: I can confirm I did NOT advise it got damaged in transit, YOU implied it got damaged in transit, I just said it probably got damaged from the tiny box it got shoved in to.

Either way, regardless of your T&C’s on your website, if you send out a faulty item, you are to pay the return fees as it is an unsatisfactory product as per Consumer Rights Act 2015. Totally understand if it is an unwanted product then the customer should pay for it but should NOT be the case if it is faulty.

Then to blame the courier as opposed to the incompetent packing, awful.

Noted that only the bad reviews are responded to aswell, the positive reviews don’t even get acknowledged!

I never once advised the book was damaged in transit, for a second time. It also isn’t even the back page it’s the front page, never once insinuated it was the back page and I even sent you photos of the book showing the damage? I even stated in my emails it was the front page. I declined the offer of sending me a new book after you outright refused to pay the postage, yes?

I have sent you emails regarding this and haven’t had a response, you have got time to edit your response on trustpilot but have not got time to respond to my email despite telling me to not hesitate to reach out to you on email?

‘It is legally the buyers responsibility to cover the returns shipping cost’ I would be delighted to see what legislation provides for that? Where as I have sent you multiple screenshots via email showing you that as the seller, you are obliged to pay for the return of a faulty product.

The best colouring books ever!

Millie is just a really wholesome human being, who runs her company with transparency and good intentions.

The colouring books are such good quality, the pages are thick and allow you to use various pens. The illustrations to colour are gorgeous with a range of beautiful messages supporting people of every colour, sexuality, gender etc.

Millie also has a really wonderful section on her website with colouring inspiration which is fab when you're feeling a bit blocked about how to colour a certain page.

Cannot say enough good things about this business, I LOVE colouring these books and can't wait to buy any new ones she releases 🥰

Can I just say firstly I love your interaction on socials to where I feel like I know you personally, such a bubbly, positive and honest person… love watching and seeing the reality of running a business very inspiring!!

But more importantly your books are amazing im addicted to them. Im currently colouring through my 3rd book after completing my first 2 ordered books within two weeks haha! Brush pens are amazing also!

& customer service is brilliant, I emailed through the other day with a query and I had a fast response back, understanding that it’s the weekend now and I’ll probably hear back again Monday which is understandable but Millie and her team are always quick to help and resolve any problems you may have - and delivery is fairly quick too!

It was my first time ordering one of the books i choes beconing my best self book and bush pen set and a second order of specturem pens .The care that is taken into the way it is packed is amazing i love the book the paper is really good im looking farward to ordering again the book thankyou so much millie

Millie’s books are perfect for adults because they actually have relevant, relatable content and the drawings aren’t near-impossible to colour like other “adult” colouring books I’ve bought on the high street. The pages are super thick so the pens I use don’t soak through and everything I’ve ordered has arrived super swiftly and been very reasonably priced. Millie, thank you for everything you do and simply being you.
