As of the end of 2023, Candid ceased all direct-to-consumer clear aligner products and services, and are no longer associated with this profile. Candid announced this change via news publications, on its website, and in digital communications to its customers. In the two years following the announcement, Candid assisted customers who had purchased aligner kits in completing their treatments, obtaining refunds, and beginning retention. The final day to purchase retainers as a direct-to-consumer customer was March 8th, 2024. Candid no longer provides aligners, retainers, treatment accessories, dental records, or refunds to direct-to-consumer customers. Those seeking clear aligners or retainers manufactured by Candid should work with a dental provider who uses their CandidPro product.

My husband receives photos/scans/videos of how his teeth have changed every time he moves on to his next pair of aligners - I “iChatted” to ask why I don’t receive this same “service” and was not given a real answer - disappointing.
It’s normal to want to SEE your progress.

Dont do it
Honestly, just pay for Invisalign and stay away form Candid. I have had a pretty bad experience with Candid so far. I have been stuck on the same step for months, I keep being told to go back in steps, stay on this step longer, etc but they still haven't fixed whatever issue is happening. When you try and call to speak to a doctor, you only get sales reps and they have no idea whats going on. I've learned the hard that your teeth are too important to not be monitored by a doctor.

I am very please with my results
I am very please with my results. My teeth were very open and my bite was very bad. When I used to eat I could only use my back teeth to chew and because of that my jaw use to get swollen all the time. In only 7 month my teeth looks great and my bite is perfect.

Worth the effort
The beginning of this process was very simple and enjoyable. I am a little frustrated that my progress has been delayed multiple times due to different things. A lot of sets don’t fit correctly and I don’t feel I am using the chewies correctly, since my progress is still delayed. They are also a hassle to clean so I am constantly brushing and flossing to no avail since my reports come back consistently that I need to brush/floss more. They just seem to be a great deal more work than I originally thought.
That being said, it is so nice to not have to schedule orthodontist appointments every other week and the progress is quicker than braces. They’re practically completely invisible and all self-consciousness is eliminated. The app is simple to use and find answers to basic questions. I am seeing (and feeling) a noticeable change in my smile, as well as a lowered sensitivity in my teeth. All in all, it will be worth the effort.

The remote process it simple
The remote process it simple and the staff are extremely responsive. I have had some aligners so far not fit 100% on my lower gum-line especially but nothing that seems to impair the process too much. They always seem to fit pretty good on my teeth.

So far my treatment has been going…
So far my treatment has been going really well. The scans are easy to complete and I've gotten used to wearing them. On some of the steps though, the base of the aligner on the inside of my teeth was super rough and has created canker sores on my tongue, so I'm not sure if it just wasn't cut right or what. I ended up taking a nail file to the most recent one and that seemed to help. However, I'm definitely excited to see the final product and whether or not these are better for moving teeth than braces or other competitors.

It's a big hassle to get in touch with…
It's a big hassle to get in touch with customer service. Keep in mind they may send you to a cleaning, even though you don't have any planned until later in year. They will put your monitoring on hold until you do exactly as they say. NO EXCEPTIONS. Also, you get the same feedback almost every time. It's definitely more convenient than going in to an office, but having lack of timely responses and difficulty in getting ahold of anyone is frustrating.
