If I could put a 0 I would

If i could put 0 i would. Be careful what egift card you choose with your hard earned rewards. Capital one gives you faulty egift cards and tells you to call the merchant. Found this out 7 call transfers and around ten emails with screenshots later. They tell you to contact tango then tango says contact capital one then capital one says contact the merchant. I dont understand why they just dont give me a working gift card. Im just gonna count it as a loss. Closing this card as soon as its paid off.

Redemption cards losing value. (Bring back Ebay & Instacart!)

I’ve been shopping through this site for years. I’ve cashed out almost $500 in instacart and ebay gift cards, and now have about $200 more available when i decide which gift card to buy. The rewards are delayed, but they are real. You do have to read the fine print, but you will be paid out.

I’ve reduced stars because they are reducing the gift cards available to cash out with. Ebay and instacart have been gone for months, and everything else is too niche to make sense for me. I’m not interested in wasting my cash back at places i would never shop.

I factor the cash back into my purchase price to maximize my value. I see no value in the rewards at the current redemption list. If this is the direction they’re going, I’ll stop wasting time and just make normal purchases at vendor sites again. It’s just not worth the trouble without rewards i can use.

Hoping they bring instacart, eBay, and other more widely useful redemption offers back soon so i can continue using them.

Don't bother; the choice of "rewards" sucks

The rewards system (how they are calculated) is poorly explained. Futhermore, the selection of gift cards for redemption of points is not good. There are no major retailers, such as Amazon. It's much smaller "niche" businesses, and many would appeal to a very small number of people. I had high hopes for this app, but I think I will probably discontinue the usage of it.

I’ve been using the app for a while and…

I’ve been using the app for a while and found that they fail to give you rewards on a regular basis for certain merchants. I’ve contacted customer service multiple times and have gotten some really rude employees. Today one told me I’ve received the last adjustment they will ever provide. I asked them to explain and they said that when you request they provide your reward for an eligible purchase, they call it a “courtesy adjustment”, and you can only receive so many of them. They refuse to explain why you didn’t get the reward timely or until you contacted them. This just seems like a way to scam you out of a rightfully earned reward and save them money. They also said they will no longer respond to my emails when I called them out for scamming me and refusing to provide any detailed explanation.

fraudulent changing of email and redemption

I have been using the extension for years. Sometimes it doesn't track. I had over $200 in rewards. The online portal doesn't give you ability to change email, but somehow someone changed the email and redeemed 200 in gift cards. I was not notified, I just so happened to login to check status of recent purchases. Support wants me to email from the new email? I don't own that email, so how can I do that. I can still access the app on the phone and still have pending rewards. Clearly someone internal was scammed into changing email or someone internal was the scammer.

Bad Reviews Don't Understand How to Get Paid.

Four Stars because there are not enough Gift Cards to choose from. And most of what they offer is overpriced garbage. Need more vendors that are everyday purchases like Walmart, Safeway, Kroger, etc.
I disagree with all the poor reviews!
As to not getting paid, be sure to read the offer terms carefully as specific items or entire categories are usually excluded. Also types of purchases and how you pay.
Often purchases don't post, but take a screenshot of the order page with the Cap One Pop Up showing, when the thirty days is up, email t it to them and they pay within a few hours.
I got over $900 in rebates from Lowes that was not posted, Handled! But with Lowes, use a different card like my AMEX that pays 3% Online, if you use your Lowes card it does not comply because you can't piggy back offers on most sites. Like Promo Codes or in house Credit Card rebates.etc. This will void the Cap One kickback
And EBAY you MUST use the BUT IT NOW button. Thjere are a lot of rules, the seller does not want to pay but Cap One is on your side, they get a commission on the sale.

Read the rules and exclusions very carefully, take a screenshot for proof and you will never not get paid what you have coming.
If the rebate is capped at $250, break your order up into several smaller orders if possible. Each transaction is capped a $250 back, not everything you buy!
I have been using this for three years and received $3483 back on 215 transactions. That is $16 per sale and and average of 15% discount at 100 per month, That does not include Cap One will help you find a lower price.
TIP!
Sign into Cap One Shopping and the seller with the same email and always enable all cookies. put the merchandise in your cart.
Go all the way to the final Pay Now page and make sure the Cap One plug in is enabled *Alaways check this)
DO NOT PURCHASE! Close the selling website completely and wait,
Within 24 hours you will get a better rebate offer in ypuir email, cl;ick the email link and reactivate Cap One, screen shot the order pages with Cap On Pop Up displayed before and after the sale. Save if there are issues.
Also discounts can jump up dramatically at end of month or the end of quarter, to cut inventory levels. 34.5% back at Lowes got me $2700 worth of roofing supplies for a net of $1800, one day only, Dec 31st,
2024.
Work the program!
It is a pain in butt, but I got

Robbed from bonus, like others report

I received an offer to make $45 for signing up with Capital One Shopping on my mobile device. Once I finished signing up they prompted me with an additional offer to add their extension to my computer for another $25. I carefully read their terms and conditions and took screenshots of them. I got the $45 bonus, but they refuse to give me the $25, even after speaking with their useless customer support.

The representative's email was nearly incomprehensible and was just a copy-pasted list of any reason that the bonus could have not worked. It was obvious that they had not even actually read my email.

I insisted on finding a solution, to which Francis, the representative, informed me that Capital One Shopping had genueinly put in their "best effort" in trying to help me but could no longer proceed.
Yeah, copy-pasting a nonsense email sure is hard work..

Very unreliable… worked for a few orders. And then doesn’t add any rewards as promised. Reaching for support is a pain and all they say is it takes 30 to 90 days. But nothing happens, they use this excuse to close the cases.

Rakuten is a way better app. They don’t make false claims and reward almost immediately.

I have never had this app

I have never had this app, this morning they emailed me, and blocked me from site over TOS? No one ever reached out to me. The email that was used was hacked over seven years ago, I take issue with a company that just blocks based on an email, and not speaking to the actually person, clue for you, my name is not the name you reached out to.

If I could leave 0 stars I would

If I could leave 0 stars I would. There rewards is promos are scams just to get you to download the app. You reach out to them they verify everything is correct and ok and that the rewards promo will or could take 30 days to clear. Then in 30 days they start with excuses and false reasons why you’ve been denied.

Received an offer for $45 once I…

Received an offer for $45 once I downloaded the shipping app and add capital one shopping to my safari. I waited 30 days and after I never received the offer I called. The phone rep found my account and where I signed up but said I had to email for assistance. I emailed and the first rep said she can’t honor it because she can’t find an account under my email. Remember the phone rep found my account immediately. When I sent screenshots of my account, showing my email, she changed it and said well sorry I can’t help you and we can’t give you the credit. I immediately asked for a supervisor, because how do you say I don’t have an account and when I show you that along with proof of purchases from the account, you still say I don’t qualify. The supervisor responded a short moment later and buckled down on the decision. I advised that this was the true definition of bait and switch and I would be filing a complaint. Through research I found that they have done this to numerous others. Pull customers I with an offer. Email follow up with a complete different offer and upon customers fulfilling the obligations, say they aren’t eligible or make up something else. After they could not use the can’t find your account scheme, they just said no we aren’t changing it or assisting and this is final. I’ve seen multiple law suits against them for similar dishonest practices. I’m seeking guidance on which company to file this with. They need to be stopped. They are benefiting off of customers downloading the app and extension and even shopping and not giving what they promised.

Do not always give % back as advertised

After I have followed their links for percentage back several times. Many times the purchases do no show up however in the past they were good about adjusting them later as I save screen shots of the activation and purchases. They say they will no longer do this in the future.
Also some purchases say ineligible when I have followed all of their guidelines.
It's difficult making informed decisions on purchases when they to not follow through of their end.

I would give less than 1 star if possible. Total Ripoff deal. Misleading offers that take you to deals that do NOT exist, or after you already purchased the same item, then you get an offer for a savings deal too late. When you try to log into your Capital One shopping site to get customer support, it's and endless loop of black holes. I never did find a link tab to get help. I am not sure how to cancel the web extension and the whole gig, but take my advice and run away from this Capital One Two Three step dance

Capital One Shopping discriminates against Android phone users. I purchase things and get a notification that I can receive $25 credit if I am an Iphone user. I am an Android user and if they can't come up with an equal program for the many Android users who use their platform, they are discriminating against a large group of people.
