Unable to get scaffolding removed

7 weeks on and still trying to get scaffolding removed from my property. After being given a date and it was another no show and a wasted day waiting for both myself and my neighbours the scaffolding company have ignored me and carbon rewind have no answer for when they propose to remove it. I am at my wits end - the scaffolding blocks the doors to the garden and the only access I have had over the last 7 weeks is from the front and through the garage. Please think very carefully about using this company.

Luke Cooper came this a.m to do my extractor fan in the kitchen and put one in the bathroom, he explained to me what he was doing. Very polite man cleaned up after making a mess. Had no problem with luke and the company. He even hooverd my landing for me.

Eco4 scheme

Contacted this company for the eco4 grant.
Surveyor came round,spent 2 hours at our property,recommended we have new gas boiler,solid wall insulation,heat controls,fans in bathrooms.
That was in May,chased them up ever since for work to begin and keep getting fobbed off
Mid July I get an email stating eco4 scheme has been paused due to funding issues
Apologies for inconvenience etc..
I haven’t heard from them since, I have 30 year old boiler,not in use so no heating or hot water
So I am now in the process with another company and hopefully see it through 🙏
No real explanation as to why funding has been cut,yet still they advertise the eco4 scheme on their website
🤷‍♀️

Unfortunate experience


This is a very toxic and unhealthy workplace. This was in a fact one of my worst work experiences to date, I didn’t want to do this review but if it can save anyone else, it’s worth it. I think the company was started by two friends who saw an opportunity to make some money and nothing else. There’s absolutely no synchronicity in the office, it appears that no manager actually knows what they’re supposed to be doing. The training is abysmal, thankfully there are some genuinely lovely people in the office and you will rely on these people to learn your job. Your workload will endlessly grow but your wage, appreciation or hours in the day will not. The office is very small and they’ve just taken over half of the already small lunch space for ‘meeting rooms’. They love a meeting here, anything to waste time and feel important. It’s also a very unprofessional office where you can expect inappropriate remarks and to be shouted at by ‘directors’, or my personal favourite, be taken on a walk to the park by a director so they can find out what music you like and ask you to a festival. I sometimes wonder had I pandered to this, if my experience here may have been different. They promote mental health in the workplace but the place is so stressful that you literally won’t go a week without consoling someone at work in tears. There’s no consistency with the tradesmen, you will find yourself constantly having to rebook customers due to tradesmen not showing up. You will also watch tradesmen continuously be given chances to disrespect the company, all whilst your office colleague has just had their probation extended for 4th time for genuinely no real reason. And that’s not an exaggeration. The customer experience here truly is awful. Managers have diary meeting where they will completely change bookings despite having never spoken to the customers or having any understanding of their situations. They also won’t always tell you what’s been moved which is super. I’d highly recommend avoiding this company, there are far many higher paying nicer companies, with perks I might add.

Don't use Carbon Rewind!

In August 2022 through Solar Together Buckinghamshire, I purchased a battery and inverter to be added to my existing solar panels. Carbon Rewind was the assigned contractor. After some nudging, the battery and Solis inverter were fitted on 12 December 2022. However, they did not work correctly until May 2023, 5.5 months later, after 7 visits from 3 different electricians lasting 2-6 hours and not always as arranged, my solar panels being disconnected for 2 weeks, a broken diverter to my hot water system which had to be replaced with a totally different model, and well over 100 emails between me and Carbon Rewind. I am left with a system that now requires 2 Apps to monitor that it is working, which were never explained to me, and which is not what I expected or wanted!
6 months later, in November 2023, an alarm indicated a faulty cable, and a Carbon Rewind electrician came to replace it. I found out 4 months later that from the day of that visit the battery had been reset to remain at 80% charge, which meant I got little electricity from the battery, and it was drawing energy from the grid to keep at that charge through the winter months. Carbon Rewind refused to accept any responsibility for this and sent me a false report supposedly from the electrician, who I heard had left the company some months earlier. Fortunately, Solis, the manufacturer of the inverter, was very helpful in explaining how to monitor and interpret the data, and generously compensated me for some of my extra energy costs over the 4 months.
Although the electricians who attended were pleasant and tried to help, Carbon Rewind did not understand the system that they were installing, their electricians were not trained, they were often patronising to me, the directors did not answer my personal letters to them, and they did not acknowledge or comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. This is not the way a reputable company behaves; do not use them.

Most unpleasant experience

Most unpleasant experience. Wonderful if you have no issues. However, if you do then you'd find them dishonest operaters with ZERO customer service. They installed my solar panel system but once payments were made they have ignored every attempt to get any reply to questions / issues or attend to unsatisfactory work. No one takes responsibility should you get to speak to them, often phones go unattended or they drop the line. They always have a list of excuses. Bunch of cowboys - I can't understand why Watford Council made contract with them. Stay away form Carbon rewind, there are many other customer friendly suppliers.
