I bought the Ashby Womens Leather Waterproof Long Country Boots for dog walking and they were sold as 'premium' and 'robust' boots. After one month the leather started to stretch and by three months it was impossible to walk in them. I returned them as directed by the supplier and the tracking number confirmed that they had been received. I messaged several times but got no response - two months later and I have heard nothing. Rubbish boots and terrible service.

Ordered a pair of shoes direct from their website. The product was dispatched, allegedly. I had a tracking number. Royal Mail constantly said the were awaiting the package. After the delivery date had passed I contacted the customer service email to ask where the product was. I got no response. I then received notice of refund! I contacted them again, no reply. No explanation, no contact and no shoes received. Not sure they are legitimate. I would not order from them again.

I ordered a pair of shoes from Catesby England in January as a gift. When the parcel arrived the box was damaged and the shoes inside were clearly not new – they had obviously been worn before and were already marked and damaged. It looked like a returned pair had simply been sent straight back out.

I tried contacting customer services repeatedly by email and via the live chat on their website. The live chat never had an operator available and my emails went unanswered for weeks.

Eventually I managed to track down the company owner and email him directly, which finally prompted a response from someone at the company. An exchange was arranged, but unfortunately the replacement pair that arrived was also damaged and the overall quality was extremely poor.

Since then I’ve tried again to contact customer services via email, live chat and even the owner directly, but once again I’ve received no response at all.

From my experience, the brand does not live up to the “premium” image they promote. Based on the quality of the product and the complete lack of customer service, I would strongly advise others to shop elsewhere.

I've since seen the warehouse they trade from and they clearly aren't the long standing premium brand they are claiming to be. I have now raised a charge back and luckily won't be out of pocket but take my advice and avoid Catesby Shoes.
