Have order multiple times! Great Experience

Have order multiple times from this company, every time I have had a pleasant experience. My products shipped fast and they arrived within the timeline stated they would. They have unique colors that I have not seen anywhere else. The only thing I would say that did not make me give them 5 stars is that the shell is a little hard to open, other than that everything was beautiful.

Ive been a long time customer and I very much feel these people are lying and or the same people writing multiple reviews. I’ve purchased from chaos makeup a ton of times over a span of 6 years and I’ve always had a great experience, always had amazing customer service and I feel back when they were new, felt they always stated the information on their website. As someone who has had a good experience I’ve never felt I needed to come on these pages to tell you guys about it. Typically happy customers just go on with our day and are just happy about it. It wasn’t until I was looking for their website that I came across this and was extremely disappointed by the lies.
I used to work in customer service and you don’t realize just how ugly ppl are until you deal with them behind the scenes. So all I can say is please do not avoid this brand because of websites like this one who allow anyone to say literally anything they want as many times as they want. I’ve had nothing but amazing experiences with this business and I’m glad I wasn’t swayed prior by things that aren’t true.

This company literally sucks at order…

This company literally sucks at order fullfillment. Placed my order on March 1, order stayed on unfulfilled for weeks until I reached out to customer service. They then gave me a response saying they showed the order being fulfilled and shipped but it’s been just a label printed for a week now with no product being shipped. Highly considering disputing the charge with my bank. They need to get it together or update their FAQs.

They sent a bogus tracking #

They sent a bogus tracking # that is stuck on "Lable printed" but not shipped. CS keeps giving me copy-and-paste responses, and when I comment on their Instagram videos, they delete the comments within seconds. I have opened a dispute through PayPal. I've been waiting a month now for my product, at this point I don't even want it, I just want my money back and this company out of business.

Such a disappointing experience

Such a disappointing experience. I placed my order on 12/10 and paid for expedited shipping. After 2 weeks went by with no update I reached out and was told they at a small business with a small team and that it states on their website fine print that expedited shipping is from when the order processes and it would be shipped out by the end of the week. Still no shipping info by the next week so I reached out again and received no response but did get an email later that day saying my order was shipped. Now, 5 days later when I check the tracking it says they are still awaiting the package. I spent $100 on products and am very much regretting it at this point sadly because I was super excited about their products :(

SCAMMERS!!!!!

First, I made a $40 purchase.
Then 3 weeks went by without hearing a single thing from them. I emailed them like 7 times with zero response until I went to their Facebook page and they lied and told me that "someone had reached out to me". Finally someone did, and they told me that after 5 weeks of waiting, my package was finally on the way. But everytime I check the tracking number, it said the item hasn't even been delivered to the post office.

This place is a SCAM.
You will not recieve your orders.
And you will have to jump thru hoops to try and get ANYONE to speak to you, let alone give you your money back.

Support other indie makeup brands

Found them on IG and last year i ordered 4 shadows and since I'm not far from the company it shipped in days and got to my house WAY faster than expected. Wanted to order again for their magma eye shadow and some others. I wait about 2 weeks and I noticed my stuff didn't ship. I email them asking what's up since I didn't have this issue before. I got a copy and pasted response and the claimed my order was scheduled to be shipped by tomorrow, it's been 5 days and I asked for the tracking and radio silence. I've already opened a paypal case as I refuse to be ripped off because they want to jerk around the "indie brand" as a way to hide from their crap practices. I've ordered indie brand makeup before and NEVER had this experience. It's a shame I get so many compliments on their eye shadows and it's absolutely gorgeous. maybe if they shipped stuff on time instead of blocking people leaving criticism they wouldn't be so poorly rated. Stay away...just want my refund at this point because I have a feeling they're not going to send my shadows over.

I've ordered twice now from them

I've ordered twice now from them. I've received both orders in perfect condition. They do inform you that fulfilling your order does take a few days, sometimes more depending on the amount of orders coming in. My first order, took about 7 days to finally ship out and only took 4 days to arrive. My second order took only 3 days to ship out and about 3 days to arrive. When I received my orders they were intact. I also transferred my pans into a magnetic palette, because their shells aren't for keeping the pans in. You can tell by removing the pan and seeing it's not glued rather has a good adhesive patch attached. The quality is really good and the colors are amazing. I will be purchasing again. I highly recommend their products. Just remember it's an indie small company and it does take time to fulfill your order. But once you get it, you won't mind that it took a little bit to get lol

I've purchasing chaosmakeup for several times. In the past there was a $6 early process I could add on cart so there was no issue about ordering. They answered on my inquiry only in case when I paid that additional $6 early process. But they recently updated their website and finally I could be able to make an account.! However, it didn't matter. I made a purchase on December and my order was unfulfilled, pending, although I chose more expensive shipping option. I couldn't get any respond of my emails for 3 times of continuous inquiries. And when I tried for 4th time with their another email address, they finally got me an answer saying that their CEO is having a health issue so it makes them stop the order process and shipping for weeks. But not noticing it on their website, not emailing signed up customers/buyers, they just put it on their social media which was absurd. Not everyone is living in social media world, and even though I live in that world, I couldn't think of checking their social media channel about an order issue. This brand, I always have that anxiety of 'what if they take my money and one day just disappear, not sending any?' This worry is becoming true.. CEO one person is sick and all the order process and shipping has stopped? Is this an actually working company or the CEO's prank? I honestly don't care even if there's only one person working, but at least YOU SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE TO YOUR BUSINESS.

Bad customer service as always

I guess they haven't learned from past mistakes. All the warnings online and I decided to give them a chance anyway.

I made a purchase in June and waited a month before contacting to ask what was going on. I was lied to and told that they sent an e-mail saying they were waiting for an ingredient and it would ship the next day. (There was never an email sent and it didn't ship the next day).
Finally was sent a tracking number 8 days ago and it's either bogus or was never dropped off at the post office. They reply on IG fast offering help 'by the end of today' then they ghost you. They are also very quick to delete any negative comments. Giving them another day to respond before I file a chargeback.

Buyers beware they don't send the product and wont help resolve the issue

Had to put one star to write a review I ordered almost $100 in product. However I never received it. I emailed because there is no contact number they responded saying it was delivered. I clearly sent the email because it wasn't delivered. I also checked with the post office before contacting them. They said file a claim with the post office asked if they had insurance on the package they said no they are not responsible for any of that or anything that wasn't delivered. And they don't send first class so no they are not responsible. I sent several messages and got nothing asked how we can resolve this issue and got nothing they stopped responding so I put a buyer beware post on their Facebook Facebook and they blocked me. They never offered to resend help with my order or refund me. Just ignored my emails. I recommend not doing business with this company.

Significant Improvement

Reading some of the older reviews, the problem seemed to be with delivery wait times.
I suppose some time has passed since those reviews were written, because their shipping times were reasonable.
Yes, it did take longer than usual to get my order, but it's important to remember that this is a smaller company that hand makes all of their cosmetics. They process purchases in the order they were received, and that's totally fair. I believe supporting this company will help them grow and continue to improve. Also, their shipping policy is very prominent and clearly worded on their website.
Their customer service was very responsive and helpful. When I received my order, the quality was fantastic and I had zero regrets. I will definitely be ordering from them again.

One more bad review.

I pre-ordered one of their beautiful eye shadow. The package was sent the 12nd November 2021 and came back to them without explanations, not even arrived in France. The tracking even said "arrived to destination" as it was normal. I verified my address few times to be sure. I tried to contact Chaos Makeup multiple time by instagram and emails. They answered some but without effective solutions. After few emails, they told me in the end of January they sent a 2nd package the 1st January. But no tracking number and when I ask for it, again, no answer.

So the 14th February I used PayPal to solve the problem with every evidences I have. And this time, Chaos makeup answered REALLY quickly, less an hour later than proposed me a partial refund. I refused. I never had the package and had no proof they really send another because, surprise, they don't have a tracking for the tracking. They proposed me partial refund multiple times I refused. They told me they answered all my message, they can't do anything, they didn't have proof for the package even it was my fault because I didn't accepted the package. After 2 weeks, it was PayPal turn to resolved the problem and I win.

Always use PayPal.
I don't recommend this shop.

No response to emails. Late dispatch.

I cancelled order as per their terms and conditions. They never replied to any of my emails or refunded me. Deleted comments on Facebook where I asked how to contact them. They then dispatched my cancelled order a month later!! When I raised via PayPal they said they never got my emails despite the evidence I provided. They blamed USPS for chaos posting a month late which was not USPS fault. Do NOT order for them!

Order not arriving, company wont respond

It has been about 3 months, still didnt receive my order. I placed it for a project i had, they didnt even bother contacting me in any form. Company is not trustworthy in any way. DO NOT ORDER HERE. Hope i warned other professionals on this platform...

This has to be the worst makeup company I have dealt with. My initial order took 3 months to arrive only to be sent the wrong item. They did offer a refund but I wanted what I had ordered. They then said I'd have to wait 3 weeks before it would be sent out. Excuse me......you messed up. You have my money. I should be a priority. I've left messages on Insta, messenger and email. They did reply to one email saying my item had been posted. I replied asking for a tracking number. No reply. This has been going on since Nov of last year. I finally emailed asking for my money back. Guess what....no reply. International girls never ever buy from this company. Once they have your money all care towards your order is gone. Very angry and frustrated in the whole ordeal.

Unique products but customer service needs overhaul

This brand went viral on instagram years ago, and has a large following online. Unfortunately they seem to have a very hard time keeping up with demand. I have ordered from them a few times and I am always given a runaround as to when the products will ship. Prepare to wait well over a month and be given bogus tracking numbers which take weeks to "update." Frustrating to be waiting weeks on items that are supposed to be in stock and and see them promoting new lines. You are expected to pay an extra $6 "rush fee" to have your order ready in a reasonable time frame.

Their website is disorganized and no swatches are available of the products, which is a real killer for an online exclusive brand. You have to cross reference with their instagram page which is quite clunky.

Having said that, I do like the actual products. Their hybrid eyeshadows/highlighters have a very smooth, fine shimmering dewy finish that I havent been able to replace so I put up with their wierd practices. They claim to be a small company that hand makes every single order. I hope they will improve on their logistics in the future, as they do have unique items and the effort is obviously there.
