My wife and I hired Dave for our wedding, recently. All I can say is - phenomenal. The man is a literal wizard with food. Every single course, every bite, was perfect. Presentation was fantastic, his personality and overall demeanor are beautiful and hilarious... would highly recommend to anyone. His assistant is equally lovely and can't be forgotten in this!

We asked Dave Sargent cook diner at our very intimate wedding in Bude. We looked at loads of chefs but wanted someone local and that was flexible to our requirements. We hit the jackpot! Dave and his lovely partner went above and beyond not only with the food, which was perfect, but toping up glasses organising everything and cleaning up before they left. A truly amazing experience. I was so impressed I baught his book I saw in town the following day. A truly memorable day.

Had Dave and his lovely colleagues cook for our wedding. He came to a property we rented, Tregulland cottage and barn, and what an experience from start to finish. He allowed us to put together a menu from his amazing menus. Nothing was too much trouble, he was kind and extremely fast with his contact. When he arrived he greeted us, spoke to our guests about how they would like their steak. Everybody raved about it, he catered to me and the other vegetarian guests and the food was honestly amazing. Every dish looked beautiful and was served at a timely pace. They set up the whole table and cleaned everything away, made some lovely flower centre pieces for the table and really took all the stress out of the day. He and his team made our wedding experience all the better, all the guests stated how lovely he was and how he was up for a laugh, a really wonderful and highly recommend chef, food was some of the best I've eaten! If you're considering this chef, you won't regret it!

Dave and Fiona gave us a meal to remember. As a party of 10 gathering for a Ruby Wedding celebration the whole evening ran smoothly from start to finish. The meal was delicious and Dave was informative with each course. I would definitely recommend to friends and family for a lovely smooth, easy experience that made the celebration feel really special.

I booked Dave for my 30th birthday weekend in Cornwall, and he was great from start to finish. In the lead-up, he was incredibly helpful in helping me create the perfect menu and on the night, the food was outstanding and presented amazingly. Dave took the time to explain each course and where all the ingredients were from, which added a nice touch. He was also very personable and great fun coming in between courses. I can’t recommend Dave highly enough!

Chef Sargent was the absolute perfect choice for our hen do evening meal! He was highly professional, clean and got stuck in with all the silliness of the hen do. He left the kitchen even cleaner than when he arrived! The food was incredible and I couldn’t recommend him and his team more. I’ll be using him for any future cheffing needs without a doubt. Dave catered for our 60th birthday party and as well as providing fantastic food he was also an excellent host. I was slightly worried when I realised our holiday cottage only had an Aga to cook on, but he wasn't phased at all. Highly recommended.
