I was a little disappointed when visiting Langford earlier this week. While the plan selection is very good many plants were struggling through apparent watering neglect. The plant bargain area was al... Voir plus

Breakfast with Santa
I was really impressed with the breakfast with Santa at the Hockley branch. Our family of 8 adults and 4 children all had a lovely full English breakfast which was delicious. The kids loved the entertainment (so did the adults!) and the star of the experience was obviously when Santa arrived. It was so nice that he had a present for each child with their name on it, that personal touch made it very special. He sat in a chair and pulled out a present and then called out the child’s name for them to go and get their present, which we thought was so cute. The waitresses were amazing, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our breakfast. Me and my family said we would definitely do this again, we all enjoyed the whole experience and would definitely recommend
Not very dog friendly
Dont advertise as being dog friendly when you are not
Don't use your birthday voucher
On 11 Sept I purchased a £39.99 garden parasol and a few other items. I had been given a £30 gift voucher. Total bill £45.99. I had a £30 gift voucher and was informed I had £5 from them too.Less vouchers should have been £10.99. Asked for £11.56. Checked bill, discount on cat treats only taken off one set of 3 (3 for £3.00 instead of £3.57) given the cash.
Returned parasol today as it didn't fit my table. No issues returning but, only given £35.71. This is because, the £5 voucher from them, which, I didn't know about distributes itself across all purchases not just taken off the final total. So in effect they took £4.28 of their 'gift' back! It's policy evidently. If I hadn't used the voucher I would have had the full cost back. So, if you have a voucher as a gift from them make sure everything is suitable and won't be needed to be returned. One shop I shan't be using again.
I would like to recommend this baker
I would like to recommend this baker, I was served by kelly, she was really helpful, we live only just round the corner in Belton, of course we will back soon, it is so useful having a bakers just around the corner.
Cafe restaurant run by incompetence
Cafe restaurant run by incompetence
Empty restaurant expect old or disabled people to walk round with a buzzer for half hour.
Why not let people sit down order a drink, and wait
Never enough staff
Lady standing at entrance turning customers away wants to go and do some work like serve or clear tables, now a rubbish joke place we will never go again.
Don’t bother with the cafe….
This review is regarding the cafe and not the garden centre and shop which seems to be well stocked and have a great selection. There are far better cafes in Long Melford that deserve your custom.

we stopped on Monday for breakfast and i must say it was the worst breakfast iv had it was cold plus my wife had a black hair in her beans i must just say IT WAS CRAP. we often have breakfast at the cherry lane fritton Norfolk and i must say it's blood good

Me and my husband went to the garden centre today at baweswell Norfolk to have dinner we got there at 1pm to be see no roast dinner and sold out of the pie on the special board so we had sandwich with salad when it arrived the lettuce was brown and the salad was warm my brown bread tuna sandwich was very dry and not nice I am not happy with this
Dogs and restaurants do no mix.
Called in this morning for coffee and tea cakes. They gave an areas at the rear of the cafe for dog owners. However some sit anywhere, feeding the dog on their lap, at the table. Prior to feeding the poodle, it was carried to the cutlery area, to obtain tea spoon, napkins and knife for the food to be delivered presently. I think feeding dogs in a restaurant should be stopped, as it is not hygienic. Dogs often beg for food and are treated as youg children. .
Rude ignorant staff on 2 occasions… and by the looks of it management too!
Rude ignorant staff on 2 occasions latest one today. 2nd time buying from here - definitely the last. Previous time checkout person totally ignored us and left us standing at the wrong checkout whilst she was chatting away to a 'friend' and opening packets. After 5 mins she dragged herself over and after watching us unpack out items said wrong til its this one. Today unloaded items at till woman there totally ignored us with her back to us and a young lad came behind the counter - he too ignored us until I asked if someone was serving and then they both looked and said we don't open until 10.30 there's a sing over there (pointing to the middle of the shop) if you look. We hadn't seen anything ... but their attitude, demeanour and the smarminess from the woman did it for me... we will take our business elsewhere.
GET SOME AIRCON!!!!!
I've given this review 1 star because most aspects of the GC are excellent - wide range of goods, lovely staff, good café.... however the owners really need to do something about the intense heat.
We go on a regular basis and even on a warm day, the heat inside has cut short our visits.
But on a day like today which was hot, the heat inside the main building was unbearable. They have massive fans dotted about, which do nothing more than blow hot air at you, because the roof is made of glass/plastic, with no visible vents to let any of the stifling heat out. The shop is situated in what at one time must have been greenhouses, which, once converted to a shop, should have been upgraded to a level that paying customers expect.
My friends and I ended up leaving 2 hours earlier than normal, even though we wanted to look around more to make further purchases.
We shan't be going again unless something is done for the comfort and welfare or their customers (and staff!)
At least something is finally being done about the smelly loos!
Shame on whoever owns this place.
The garden centre needs air conditioning
The garden centre at Tickhill is very large and there's an enormous choice of items to buy. The trouble is we couldn't stay too long as it was extremely hot and uncomfortable. However staff cope with it, I'll never know. Surely the owners are not adhering to health & safety regulations. We went into the cafe and sat by the door to try to cool down. After we had eaten, a staff member told us we shouldn't have sat there with our dog. Where were the signs informing customers of this??
Nice garden centre but put off by the lack of consideration for customers and staff regarding air conditioning and lack of signage.

Has anyone noted the Arrogance of the owners and "Management" of all Cherry Tree Garden Centres ? Total disregard for customers reviews and not a single reply from them to any comments left by their customers.I loathe this company and will never go back.Incidentally I was just wondering if the Tickhill site has done anything at all regarding the instore temperatures suffered by their poor staff.I left a review about this recently but heard nothing back !!!
AWFUL PLACE - GO ELSEWHERE
I feel I have to write a review due to the rude staff, lack of plant knowledge, and just a total disregard for customers waiting at the tills. This is for the Countesthorpe, Leicester centre.
I have visited twice recently. First time with my partner, and we asked if they had a specific well-known plant. No one had any idea what it was !! We also had to queue for 15 minutes to pay for the items we did buy. Once at the till, we were served by a long-haired unkempt man who absolutely stank of alcohol. He ripped off a security tab from a box that took extra carborad with it that had the instructions on. How thick can you get !!
On the second visit, I had to bring back a faulty/damaged item. On entering the store, I asked an assistant if there was a 'special till' I had to go to. No, it was the answer, so i joined a queue with at least 12 people queuing to pay. Once it was my turn , I unfortunately got the same long-haired lout who told me to go to another till and so I had to wait again!!
As for the cafe.....go elsewhere, Palmers Garden Centre in Leicester is far superior for its cafe and plant knowledge. This used to be an excellent garden centre before it was taken over by Cherry Lane
the food we had in the restaurant was poor quality…
Whilst the store had much to offer including the garden centre. Many plants etc good quality. however food we had in the restaurant was of a very poor standard Quiche was barely edible and the sausages in the sausages and mash were tough. Such a pity
Mostly good
Lovely outside area, trying to hear birdsong with a nice coffee. Spoilt by loud whining music. Why is this allowed everywhere.
South view cherry lane
I would like to leave a review about my view to the south view store today, I came in needing 4 bags of soil, which were outside the front of the store, I'm 20 weeks pregnant and was alone so I went in and asked if someone could help me. a young gentleman called Colby offered to help me. Colby loaded up the trolley for me, he then noticed I was struggling to push the trolley once it was loaded, he offered to push the soil through the shop to the tills for me which I was extremely grateful for because I would of been stuck and unable to purchase the soil without his help. Colby then offered to put the soil in my car for me to! your garden centre definitely need more staff like Colby, he had very good customer service and is a real creidt to your store. I was very grateful for Colby today.
I have also in the last 3 weeks visited the cafe and the other cafe and soft play in the south view centre and food was lovely although slightly pricey but where isn't now a days. I would definitely return for food and soft play again.
Disappointing Visit
Visited cafe with a disabled and registered blind relative at 2.50pm on Saturday for late lunch. Relative unable to read blackboard so got seated and looked around for a menu but had to ask a member of staff for one, which was brought to us a few minutes later. Having read out the menu and decided on meals for the three of us, I went to the counter and joined the queue which was moving slowly. As we drew closer to the till, a woman from the kitchen came out to the queue and declared loudly “the kitchen is closed - closed at 3 but there is coffee and cake”. No apology, no sign anywhere to inform the customer. Blackboard clearly stating what’s on offer but no indication of opening times above the board or on the physical menus. No mention by the staff member who brought the menu to us at 2.55! Very disappointing, especially as the detail on the website said 4pm! Needless to say, we left the cafe along with several others in the queue and had a fantastic lunch at The Pier Hotel, Gorleston, instead! Cherry Lane needs to get its act together and be more transparent with their opening hours!

Lied to by customers services. So glad I didn’t spend ££££ online with them. Dodged a bullet.
