Where is the customer service?
This review is not for the shoes or handbags, both of which are 5-star quality in my opinion, but for the inexplicably poor customer service. I have extremely narrow calves and wanted a pair of tall boots. Naturally, calf circumference is a concern, and I was surprised to see that CL doesn’t provide measurements. Having done a little homework, and being stuck home with the flu whereby I couldn’t go to a store to try on, I ordered the Kate Botta 85 which supposedly runs very narrow. There is about a 3” gap between the boot and my leg and they look terrible on me - although it is worth mentioning that the foot is very comfortable and I otherwise love the boots. I reached out on chat to inquire if any of their tall boots run smaller in the calf as I wanted to purchase a different pair. This was on a weekday at around 4:40 PM EST. I held for over 15 minutes while supposedly being transferred to a representative, only to get the “Oups!” message telling me to send an email through their contact page or reach out on chat during the hours of 9:00-6:00 EST. I posed my question again in the form of an email through the contact page and received a reply saying they’d be sure to add calf measurements to their site since I asked (I’m not a celebrity, so I’m certain that’s not going to happen), and rather than answer my question, the representative encouraged me to return the boots. I buy Louboutins all the time and that’s just not an acceptable answer, nor is ignoring me after I followed up and asked a third time if they would please answer my question. Either yes, there is another style that runs smaller, or no, there isn’t. Either answer would satisfy me but no answer does not.
Apparently, in order to get a reply, I need to make an appointment at the store, but if I could go to the store right now, I wouldn’t need to be asking the question.
I’ll buy my tall boots this year from Miu Miu instead. They know how to treat their loyal customers and their pull-on styles fit like a glove. I have zero patience for brands that don’t care about average customers who pay full retail for their items, and I’m disappointed to learn that CL is one of them. I’m a very brand-loyal customer and I’m willing to pay a premium for the items I love, but I’m not willing to spend a ton of my time trying to get support the one time I need it.
