The alpaca hideaway offered us a unique experience. We were given privacy, in a beautifully maintained shephards hut. Tea, coffee, milk, towels, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner all supplied. The hut was clean, and warm, there was a microwave, a small toaster, and kettle supplied. The hot tub was clean, and was prepared before our arrival, and we had wood available ( at a small extra cost) for another hot tub while we were there. The views are stunning, added to by the lovely alpacas in the field with us. They were very quiet, curious creatures that made the stay so special. We have already booked to go back again in a few weeks,for longer!

Booked a week in a cottage in Longborough through this company. There were issues with the property I contacted them about and they didn't even have the courtesy to reply. The property, Bank Cottage, was somewhere I had stayed in previously through a different agent with an altogether different approach.

Orchard Lee Cottage, Musbury. The company is: Classic Cottages. Excellently furnished, decorated, and dog friendly, with large bedrooms and new en suite bathrooms. . Tranquil village location, near country pub and scenic coastal walks. Surrounded by wildlife gardens, in a historic village Little extra details such as welcome supply of fresh scones, cream, jam and bottle of wine. Freshly picked garden flowers in a vase. Lots of guide books, modern kitchen equipment and comfy lounge furniture. Fully recommend this company and this cottage!

We stayed at Great Ash Barn near Crediton, Devon. Booked through Classic Cottages.

The property was everything we wanted and more, the views over the countryside incorporating the calves, ducks, hens and pigmy goats were beautiful. The hosts were absolutely lovely, nothing was too much trouble, they ensured our stay was a memorable one. Everything for the dogs had been thought of, it was a true holiday for them too and we took advantage of the dog shower to freshen them up.

It is a perfect base to explore the whole of Devon and the west of Dorset, I even got used to the narrow country roads, it all adds to the experience.

I would highly recommend staying at this beautiful house, you will truly have a memorable holiday that you will want to return to.

Classic Cottages are a great company to book through, this is our 2nd time using them and I can say it is a real pleasure to deal with them.

We booked through Sykes Cottages in the past but found them horrendous to deal with when we had a problem so vowed never to use them again.

The Neptune apartment at Westward Ho! was excellent. You did not want for anything. Within walking distance to shops, restaurants and tea shops or just walking around the area with stunning views. The car was locked in a secure garage which was a bonus and security of the building was excellent, you felt very safe.

Fantastic property in a superb location and really relaxing. Immaculate and clean. No pub in walkable distance but Cornish Arms 2 miles away. White Hart inn super friendly and food good!

The house was beautiful and very comfortable. The website was very easy to navigate and book our stay.

We have used Classic Cottages for many years. But not anymore after our experience. We went to a beautiful cottage and there was an issue with an important part of it. In fact, we booked the cottage because of what it offered and paid over £1000 to stay there. When complaining to CC, they did try to find ways to remedy the problem but there just wasn't a solution. When I asked for a refund of sorts or a good will gesture, they refused, along with the owner of the cottage. I have had negative experiences with other companies and when this has occurred, they have tried to make up for what has happened, but not CC. They are all about making money and though they appear to care, they care more about profit. And you notice here that they try to make themselves look pure as the driven snow and oh so nicely responding to everyone who writes a negative review. But this is just to protect their reputation. It is not authentic. They are not authentic and honourable. They just don't want their reputation sullied and people not to use them.
The way they advertise cottages is exaggerated very carefully, to lure you to buy a holiday. The cottages are rarely as good as their words.
Don't use them. There are other holiday companies.

First time using this company. Will def use again. Property home cottage in St Byran was beautiful. Communication with company was excellent and easy to book.

The Studio (Cottage) is a modern twist on rustic charm. The owners have created one room accommodation which is just perfect for a short stay, or weekend away located in stunning countryside.

Complete ease of unloading/loading your vehicle as the property is a few steps away. It has up to date appliances that cover your every need. Luxury bath towels in plentiful supply and a welcome pack that includes a lovely vase of freshly cut roses.

Extra lighting using delicate LED's add a romantic feel. We loved it.

This was our first time booking with Classic Cottages and for our next holiday in the UK we will certainly use them again.
Very straightforward and easy booking, from looking at the easy to navigate website, to asking some additional questions to finally booking Pook's Hill Cottage in Holcombe/Dawlish.

We have been using Classic Cottages for the past 5 years and they are our go-to for all our holidays in Devon and Cornwall. We have never been let down. Every property we have stayed in has exceeded our expectations for comfort and convenience: our favourites being Puckey's Forge, The Lookout, The Old Sunday School, Trevoole Old Manor...

It's a far superior service to AirBnB, you really can't go wrong with them! We're looking forward to our next stay at Christmas :)

Deeply disappointed, upset and out of pocket at St. Giles Cottage, Sidbury.
My husband and I booked a week's holiday at St. Giles Cottage, Sidbury. We have no idea if the cottage is good or not because we were not able to park safely at this cottage. We returned home the same day, losing money on the cottage itself as well as various tickets we had pre-booked for excursions and day trips in the area.
We have a medium size SUV and the tiny parking space at the rear of the cottage was out of the question. We did try. But the alternative offered was a passing space on the road just outside the cottage. This was both dangerous and inadequate for our size car.
We did try to park there, but there was no room on the passenger side to get out of the car and other cars were passing us by within about 5 cm of our car wing mirrors. It was completely inappropriate and inadequately described by Classic Cottages.

We returned home having rung the Classic Cottages emergency helpline. We were told that others had parked in the spaces successfully. One suggestion, after they spoke with the owner of the cottage was that we should drop our suitcases at the cottage and park in the nearby carpark. This was most unhelpful since there was a limit on parking time there We are both in our mid sixties and not able to carry heavy bags for long distances.
If you do decide to stay at St. Giles, please be aware of the limitations in the parking spaces it offers. We would never have selected this cottage had it been adequately described.
After reading the reply from Classic Cottages, my husband and I both feel strongly that the description should categorically state that the parking at St.Giles cottage is not suitable for a small SUV.

Great company- and lovely cottage we stayed in in Cornwall in April 2025. Good standard and comfortable and clean, highly recommend

From booking to start of holiday everything was straightforward. The description of our houseboat “Fortune” was accurate but even better when we actually arrived and saw it for ourselves. We stayed in Bembridge Harbour and the views were lovely. Last year we stayed in a cottage in Bembridge which has left us with very fond memories also.

First time we have used Classic Cottages and we were very happy with our choice of a Devon hideaway, it was exactly as described on the website and it exceeded our expectations!
Communication was good both from the hosts and Classic Cottages, we would definitely use Classic Cottages again

Everything was amazing, perfect little hideaway whilst also being in a great location to explore Cornwall. The owners were so lovely, I couldn’t recommend it enough.
