Took advantage of 3 months free member…

Took advantage of 3 months free member of family plan. Had to get son who set this up to cancel. They still took money from my credit card from my wife and myself despite promising to refund after I contacted them. Still being dealt with by my credit card company.

Stay AWAY from this SCAM

Stay AWAY from this SCAM. My 83 year old mother was SCAMMED.
TSA agent or look like one offer my mom to pass the TSA waiting line for $1. She took her in front of the line and ask for credit card. They swiped the card and $209 came up. My mom ask why. Lady did something on machine and $209 turn to $1. One week later she was charged $209. This scam service do NOT even offer phone number for customer support.... SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!

Tried to sign up with the long security lines and they wasted more time than precheck

I had clear before, and decided to get it again with the long lines at security. I waited in the clear line and once my face was scanned they said there needed to be an additional in person session to “finish my account”. But they are no doing the in person sessions because the airports are too busy.

I then had to go wait in the TSA line anyway even though I started with them again. Really sad they waste more time than the already grueling tsa lines because you won’t know if you actually have clear until it’s your turn to scan with them

Worst ever

Worst ever, their customer service. Don’t even sign up even if it’s free. They will weasel their way out and not reimburse you. Don’t do it.

Clear Plus a Ripoff at ORD

My wife and I purchased Clear Plus spending $300 to expedite us through security at Chicago Ohare. Now I find there is NO Clear Plus at Terminal 3 for American Airlines…..what a ripoff!!!
Not pleased.

Bad experience during government shutdown apocalypse

The Clear agent claimed I should stay in regular pre check line rather than entering clear. Wrong! Much slower. Pay $209 for membership and lazy employees can't be bothered to do their jobs. Don't be fooled like I was, insist on entering clear.

Scam

I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding a misleading enrollment experience and an unauthorized charge related to your service at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

On February 19th, I was approached by a CLEAR representative at the airport, who offered my family and me the opportunity to try the service for the first time at no cost. The representative explicitly stated that the trial would be free of charge and that we would receive a follow-up email with instructions on how to cancel the service, should we choose not to continue.

Relying on this information, I agreed to enroll. However, I never received the promised email with cancellation instructions. As a result, I was unable to cancel the service within the appropriate timeframe. Despite this, I was subsequently charged for a subscription that I did not intend to maintain.

I would like to emphasize that I only proceeded with the enrollment based on the assurance that the service would be free and easily cancellable. The failure to provide the necessary cancellation information, combined with the subsequent charge, is both misleading and unacceptable.

Therefore, I respectfully request:

The immediate cancellation of my CLEAR subscription;

A full refund of any charges applied to my account;

Clarification on how this situation occurred and what measures will be taken to prevent similar issues in the future.

I trust that this matter will be handled promptly and fairly. Please confirm receipt of this message and inform me of the next steps.

Both legs of trip

Both legs of trip, confused, had to go back through TSA, "never happened before".. except for both times, TSA pre is faster.

I hate clear!!

I hate clear!!! You still have to show ID after scanning your pupil, so it's completely useless unless you are a felon and FBI rejected your TSA precheck application, they also were charging my card after they sent a fake gift for a family member free 90 day clear, i hate them so bad, they aren't responding chat or email for already a week!!!!!!!!!!!! All agents are "busy" already a week, never answered my email

Their agents are super rude

Their agents are super rude - even to people not using their service. I would not invest my money just to be scolded like a dog because their agent misunderstood a situation.

Should have read the reviews before…

Should have read the reviews before signing up. Card was charged but there is no membership. Been on hold for an hour. AI bot is useless! Hope to get charge refunded and will steer clear of Clear!

Misleading and deceptive signup at EWR

Misleading and deceptive signup at EWR. I was told by a CLEAR representative at Newark Liberty Airport that I was receiving a free subscription because the lines were long, and that if I did nothing, it would expire automatically and I would not be charged. That was not true — I was charged anyway. CLEAR later issued a refund, but the sales practice was still misleading and unacceptable. Travelers at EWR should be very cautious.

I had the same experience as others. I was approached after a flight from Australia (very jet lagged) about a shortcut through security. The rep offered it as a free trial. Took my credit card info for id purposes. Later, I was charged $209 for a membership I never consented to. Filed a fraud dispute with my bank, which was denied. Tried to contact company. They use AI chat bots that actually take a smarmy tone if you sound upset. Impossible to reach a live agent. This company needs to be sued for fraud. They are stealing people's money.

This company is awful!! Free trial is a lie!

This company is awful. I was at the airport just a week ago and they offered me the free trial and made it very clear or so. I thought that I wouldn’t be charged for months even on the website it says if you sign for the free trial and you’re verified and it goes through. You should not be charged for at least two months but just a week after I signed up I got charged $334 and I had to cancel it. They don’t even send a welcome email or a courtesy of when you’re gonna be charged so I feel like they’re almost trying to scam people! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I hope they get banned from airports

Less than one star

Less than one star. They go to your account unauthorized to take your money and refuse to refund it. This is highway robbery in broad daylight
