I didn't have the time or energy to sell the car on my own. It was in good condition, but needed a few fixes. So reaching out to Clutch was easy, sending the pics and getting a realistic estimate. The whole process is amazing.

Our experience with Clutch was a 10/10. Efficient. Friendly. Courteous. Fact based. And there was no funny business when we brought the car to drop it off. I thought maybe it was too good to be true. But clutch came through with everything they told us they would. Highly recommend them to anyone selling their car. And we got a way better price for the car than going through a dealer.

Found the online experience easy and seamless. Made sure to answer the questions honestly and received a quote within minutes. Upon accepting the offer, the administrative process was super quick and easy with a follow up phone call to confirm details and answer my questions. Drop off was about 30 minutes and Mitchell and the new trainees were awesome throughout the process. This process is great for those that like the safety of not selling on your own. Money was in my account within a couple minutes. Would definitely recommend.

lots of hidden fees. The main price listed is the cash value...before tax.. if you plan on financing expect at lesat 7.99 interest even with great credit... there is a finance calculator but thats just an estimate...and before tax...you then a finalizes quote from a lender...again before tax.
2) pricing is unclear. anything below 20k whether thats the base price, or factoring in trade in value/ and or down payments will actually INCREASE your interest rate since lenders don't profit of loans so small.. all this is BEFORE trying to force gap insurance on you
3) warranties are sketchy. Most cars normally have 5-10 year warranty with varrying degees of how long the term lasts if ownership is transferred. Most cars clutch offers, even the 2025 or 2026 models have little to no warranty. Even if they do, you are still forced to pay extra to extend the warranty from the lender. And they use shady marketing tactics like making the base offer seem like garbage with the middle tier being way better for only a little bit more (which is technically a high markup as the base offer is overpried). i.e base offer only provides a 3 month warranty while middle tier is 5 years.

so for example, a car i was looking as was 155 bi weekly. i didnt know the number was initially pre tax so it ended up being about 190. because my down payment and trade it made the remaining balance of the car under 20k, the base offer from the lender put the interest from 7.99 to 9.99 skyrocketing my bi weekly payment to 270...before tax...at the cheapest...since we are looking to spend no more than 200bw, clutch is no longer a possibiltiy

the site is also broken af. chrome eventually stopped loading all together for me so i had to use safari...there i had even more problems. dropdowns not dropping down, or selecting menu items not actually changing the filter results, frequently signing me out, clicking back either taking me to a random page or a different part of the previous page, having trouble loading the page or trlling me the car was no longer available when it was, the financing application refusing to actually send, and on mobile, the page not infinitely scrolling and randomly just deciding to stop loading items

there is also a lot of lack of communication. One agent didnt tell me they were off, another failed to mention that to get an exact quote i had to fill out the whole purchase and finance form and put down a deposit, one is unable to see my file at all, etc.

Then theres the fact that you cannot see the car in person until you go get it meaning you cant test drive it in advance. sure, they give you 10 days from pick up but i only have one car and would have to trade it in meaning if i'm unhappy with test drive, i have no car at all

lastly, they claim they only show images of the most noticable scuffs, but the images are terrible. small, low res, low light or heavy reflections, etc. you cant even see the scratch in most of them...yet they go out of theit way to make the main product shots look great lol

their whole selling point is you dont have to deal with the super pushy dealers...but this just screams scam

Fair offer, easy process, lots of availabilities to work with your schedule. No pressure approach.

Clutch claims they can beat the dealership offer and Private selling offer. However in my case it was the opposite. The Clutch offer was half the offer from the dealership. What a shame.

I highly recommend Clutch. My experience from start to finish was very good. Communication with the advisor before the drop off appointment was quick and easy. Drop off took no more than 1/2 hr. I felt the price they offered was fair. Funds were deposited in my account within 20 minutes. I would definitely recommend selling your vehicle through Clutch. I would consider buying a vehicle from them as well in the future. Apparently if you don’t like the vehicle, you have the option to return it in 10 days.

Was greeted when I came in. Everyone was friendly. Offered us coffee and snacks while we waited. We didn’t have to wait long at all though. Our Advisor, Alex helped me out with my car. He greeted my husband and I and even said hello to our 8 month old daughter. He was very efficient and professional. Made the car process very easy. I would recommend Clutch to anyone who is looking to get rid of their car!
