(0)We are sorry you did not have a great experience. What was the main reason for your score?
Procedure
I understand the procedure didn't meet your expectations. Can you tell me more about what specifically went wrong during the procedure?
after booking appointment from last three weeks, three time surgery follow up and on the day at 8.30 am dentist just counted my teeth's and that's it,maximum 5 minutes and said nothing need doing , on the other hand he was recommending me hygienist who want to charge 80 pounds from an unemployed person , signed the paper work to claim from health service, that's very shameful
I can understand how disappointing that must have been after waiting so long for your appointment. When it comes to communication during your visit, did the dentist walk you through what they were checking or explain their findings as they examined your teeth?
why doctor want me to book an appointment when he dont want to do any procedure on them and recommending me Hygienist for 80 pounds sad,,,
Thanks for your feedback. We take all of this to heart to continue to improve our care for you.

Disgusting condescending behavior by receptionist at the Gravesend clinic. Threatening to call security on my mother because she was trying to inquire about an emergency appointment. My mother does not speak fluent English and was trying to make herself understood with a translator app, they did not even want to hear her out since they were close to break time,

Avoid if you can.

This review relates to Manor Dental in Oxford, part of Colosseum.
Unfortunately my partner has been treated by Radia at Manor for a set of dentures, for which he is paying £2000. Treatment started in June of 2025, and he still doesn't have the dentures. He needed 6 or 7 teeth removed, one of which Radia achieved, but caused a terrible case of Bell's Palsy. The other teeth she couldn't remove, but miraculously, another dentist managed to do it within 2 minutes. Radia no longer works for Manor, and my partner's new dentist has advised that he needs a different denture than the one prescribed by Radia. Manor are delaying response to complaint and seem to think that the complaint will go away if they ignore us. Avoid at all costs. A set of pliers is preferable.

Tried 2 Colosseum Clinics never again

I have been a patient at 2 Colosseum Dental Clinics. The first clinic was in Northgate Crawley where I had been a patient for 45 years with the same dentist who sold the practice to Colosseum. I always visited the dentist every 6 months for a check up but once my dentist retired that's when the problems started I was not given a named dentist so I never knew who I was going to see . I had a broken tooth so had to visit the dentist outside of my normal 6 monthly visit the dentist examined it and said it could not be saved and she could extract it straight away. I had an X-ray and then had the most horrific experience you can imagine. The tooth was taken out in pieces with hands on my face tugging. Afterwards I was shaking and was shown the pieces along with my sinuses which had also been pulled out. She apologised as she said the x-Ray wasn't clear that the roots were going into the sinuses. I left that day shaking in pain with no clear instructions to care for my mouth after the extraction. The next day I had a phone call to come back in to the clinic as the hole needed stitches and padding it felt like she had checked afterwards what was needed. Ongoing the hole didn't close and I learnt that I had a communication which meant everything I drunk or any liquids came out of my nose! I had no support from the clinic afterwards and had to refer myself to another clinic who might be able to help. They advised I needed surgery so I had to contact the Maxillofacial at Queen Victoria Hospital which I did where I had an operation to close the communication and damage. I fed this back to the surgery and asked why they carried out the extraction when looking at the X-ray it clearly shows the tooth roots went into my sinuses and I should have been referred to the hospital this is the information I was given by the hospital. I was told I had given permission and was shown a document with a electronic signature in my name strangely highlighting everything that could happen (which did happen) I was not given or shown this document at the time of my treatment and to be honest after everything I had gone through I didn't have the courage to pursue it so I searched for another NHS clinic near me and found Moat road clinic in East Grinstead. My first appointment was for the hygienist didn't start well as my appointment was when reception closes for lunch which I wasn't aware of. I arrived 5 minutes early for my appointment as any normal person would and couldn't get in. I rang the doorbell to be told reception were having their lunch. I had to wait outside in the cold and rain with another person who also was on their first appointment and was not happy to have to wait outside I did feed this back afterwards . I have just had my 3rd visit with the hygienist which I had made 2 weeks previously and it was a private appointment at £75. I had to pay a £49 deposit when I booked the appointment and the balance to be paid once I had the treatment. On the day of my appointment which was at 1.30pm I received a txt message at 10.15am to say the cost had risen to £80. I rang the clinic to query the short notice of being told about the price rise and was told it came from head office that morning. After my appointment the receptionist said it wasn't head office who emailed and they were told by the hygienist that morning. I rang head office to try to get to the bottom of this as I was being given so many different explanations and to ask why I wasn't given more notice. I was told it didn't come from head office and to speak to the practice manager. I spoke to the practice manager Emma and she was quite curt and rude and didn't understand why I needed to know. She quoted if I went to a supermarket and the price of something I needed had risen I would still buy it and prices / costs do rise. I replied I understand that but you cannot compare a dental clinic with a supermarket and most businesses where there is a price rise you are advised in advance. Emma also said it hadn't come from the hygienist it had come in a email that morning so I said ok I'll ring head office back and speak to them to which her response was what exactly do you want to get out of this is it a refund of the difference! All I wanted was an explanation of why I wasn't given more notice of a price increase and why am I being given contradictory information but as Emma was so rude I said yes. I received my refund but Sadly it has left me with no confidence in using them again so I have also changed my dental Clinic this time to a privately owned clinic.

Very unhappy with this business.

Very unhappy with this business.
They took over my local dental practice, where I had been registered as an NHS patient since it opened.
I hadn't attended for a while, simply because I experienced no issues with my teeth, but on requesting an appointment a couple of weeks back, I was told that this non-attendance meant that I had lost my status as an NHS patient, and hence any treatment carried out would have to be on a private basis.
No advice that this might happen was ever sent to me, which just makes me think that all they want to do is get rid of the lesser earning plebs, and instead only treat those who go private and pay them accordingly.
Shocking.

Dental fraud

People, please be careful. They fraud you for monies. When I called- I been told that I need to do a check up with X ray- as my right tooth gain sensitive. And then fix fillings. They don't do root canal filling, wich the don't mention- instead they say that filling will cost You depending on the size. But after a check instead they say that they don't have specialist for that- and you need to go to another clinic and pay for the check again...)))
Also they implement extra charges on top of you- for the X ray scan- where overe the phone it is mentioned that scan is included in the first pay. Very funny. As result I wasted time- paid monies, paid extra monies... and ended up nowhere. Be careful

Hidden add-ons at extra cost

Short 20-min hygienist visit (with Aniruddho at Norwood Dental Clinic) was fine until checkout when receptionist added £20 for airflow I never agreed to. Hygienist tried to justify it by saying I did it before and he assumed I’d want it again. Super frustrating for an already costly appointment I had already paid £72 for. Assumptions aren't permission, please train your team better on this.

Such a pleasant dental practice

Such a pleasant dental practice I go to in Rodney Road, Cheltenham. I had a traumatic experience previously at another dentist and was very nervous about going to another, but ever since going to this practice it’s been great, from being welcomed by the receptionist who are always very friendly and efficient, to having treatment with Adam Wilson who always makes me feel at ease, explaining everything and very professional, wouldn’t go anywhere else, highly recommend.

Avoid if you are anxious or have a needle phobia

This review is for the Alexandra Road Dental Care practice in Swadlincote, part of colosseum dental

If you are an anxious patient or have a needle phobia, I would strongly recommend avoiding this surgery.

Over the past year, I have experienced a complete lack of communication, even during a period when the practice was aware my wife was undergoing cancer treatment. Despite repeatedly explaining how their approach has worsened my anxiety and stress, and how it has affected my ability to care for her, my concerns seemed to fall on deaf ears. Several members of staff made promises that were never followed through, leaving me feeling extremely disappointed in the administration team.

In my experience, Dr. Yogi shows little understanding or compassion toward anxious patients and appears more focused on financial gain than patient care. If you are considering Invisalign treatment with him, make sure to ask for a full explanation of the entire process before committing. I wish I had done so, as I was not properly informed about their removal procedure until the end of treatment when it was too late. The Invisalign website states ‘gently removed in a painless, non-invasive procedure’. This is incorrect. It hurt so much I had to be sedated in order to have the attachers removed. During this process, as I was in pain in his chair, he decided to increase his hourly rate and attempted to charge me more per hour for treatment I had already paid for. While a patient is screaming and having a panic attack is not the time to attempt getting more money from them.

It’s also concerning that their approach to treating patients with needle phobias remains outdated. In 2025, there are many effective and patient-friendly alternatives available — such as gas and air or pen injectors yet none were offered. Instead, I was made to feel unreasonable for asking.

Overall, this practice has caused me considerable stress and anxiety, undoing years of progress I had made in overcoming my fear of dental treatment.

Yeovil Dental Clinic are Superstars!

Recently visited Yeovil Dental Clinic for a hygienist appointment with Rafina and she was amazing!

Genuine, gentle care and really great advice - I had no idea I was brushing my canines too hard so I was receding my gums, so that was really helpful to learn and now I know how to avoid doing that...

The scale and polish was gentle but effective, and Rafina talked me through the whole process and why some areas needed more pressure/attention.

The whole practice was friendly, welcoming and really clean, reception were so polite and smiley.

Great team, thank you all for your amazing care!

Ive attended the Beckton Colosseum Dentist place today for my daughters dentist appointment. We even came 30 mins early. To be now told the dentist is running 35 mins behins time even though we had a appointment booked , then they went on to say the doctors been really busy and behind schedule. To be honest this is something i really dont care for and is totally irrelevant to me as the patient . You shouldnt be overbooking or extending certain patients appointments due to their problems , its not fair and its not equality. Whats the point in having an appointment system ? . Then there trying to argue the fact the doctors busy . Youve gone into our appointment time for someone elses appoinment saying theres only one doctor today and there overwhelmed ? Do you think this is something i care for? You shouldnt be open then , or you should have cancelled appointments before hand . Now they saying you can come back another day and book an appointment . What for it to happen again? . Why didnt they tell the patient before to come back another day? This is outrageous how they think they can run on their own timing . I will be putting in a full complaint .

A good company for dental care

I have had positive experiences at two Colosseum Dental practices. One is for my general dental care and another was an emergency when in a different part of the country. Excellent service and care received all round. I am quite nervous when seeing the dentist but the teams and dentists at both practices were super friendly and kind which put me at ease.

Northolt Colosseum Dental - AVOID

Northolt Branch:
I had several appointments a few years ago, and I’m still traumatized by the experience. While the receptionist was friendly, the standard of patient care was completely unacceptable. The dental care I received was negligent, and I’m deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism.

My experience was far from satisfactory, and it has left me feeling traumatized and distressed. As a patient, I expected a certain standard of care and professionalism that, unfortunately, was not met during this visit. The purpose of my appointment was to undergo a root canal treatment. However, I must emphasize that the procedure was not carried out to completion, which has resulted in severe physical discomfort and additional damage to my tooth. Furthermore, the manner in which the procedure was abruptly halted has left me emotionally distraught.
The dentist began the root canal treatment and dedicated more than half an hour to addressing the issue. Unexpectedly, she discontinued the procedure, citing difficulties in obtaining an X-ray due to my limited ability to open my mouth wide enough. I found her struggle to capture the necessary X-ray images concerning, as it demonstrated a lack of preparedness and adaptability on her part. She decided to cease the procedure altogether, leaving me in tears and with increased pain a few days after. The solutions that she offered were a hospital referral (which takes a long time to be processed) or extraction.
I strongly believe that it was inappropriate for the dentist to commence the procedure without the confidence or capability to complete it. Initiating the root canal treatment and subsequently abandoning it not only caused unnecessary physical harm but also inflicted significant emotional distress. I am deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism and the resultant damage caused to my tooth. I wish the dentist did not start the procedure and cause further damage and sensitivity to the tooth and the surrounding area.
Moreover, I must draw attention to the quality of the subsequent filling applied to my tooth. The new layer of the filling and surface was noticeably uneven, making it uncomfortable to touch or bite down on the tooth. The filling has not settled down even after three days, resulting in an unnatural sensation when biting and chewing. This substandard adjustment has not only exacerbated my physical discomfort but has also intensified my anxiety surrounding eating due to the dental issues I already face.
Additionally, I have been struggling with pain in my upper teeth recently following my visit to fix a filling on the other side of my mouth. The pain has continued for a long time. However, the dentist was unable to diagnose and address my upper teeth concerns during my appointment. In this case, a referral needed to be made instead of providing me with a comprehensive and effective treatment plan.
It is essential to note that my overall mental and physical health has been adversely affected by these dental complications. Regrettably, the lack of appropriate diagnosis for my upper teeth concerns, the failed root canal treatment and the subsequent referrals have only contributed to the deterioration of my well-being. I have been taking painkillers for a long time which has also had a negative impact on my health.
My dental condition deteriorated and my overall health was affected. I was left with no help and solutions. Following my appointments, I developed a severe tooth infection. I was left with no assistance and had to seek emergency help from 111. At the time, my entire face was swollen, and I endured excruciating pain. I experienced weakness and persistent headaches. Furthermore, it is worth noting that during an emergency appointment at a different practice, the dentist encountered no issues with my mouth opening.
I have endured significant pain and discomfort, both physically and mentally, as a result of my experience. I believe that I have been neglected and the level of care provided to me was inadequate. The dentist ignored the seriousness of the situation.

Years after my appointments, I’m still suffering from dental complications caused by the procedures I underwent. The lasting damage has been both painful and frustrating, and I’m deeply disappointed by the lack of proper care.

Would never go back! I certainly do not recommend!

(Gravesend Dental Clinic, Colosseum Dental)
I wouldn’t even rate this 1 Star! The Gravesend branch is appalling. The receptionists are so rude, the dental nurses themselves have no idea what there doing! I’ve left the practice and I wouldn’t recommend this to anybody! The practice manager (Gemma) needs to be sent of for some more training because she don’t seem to know how to do her job properly! I think she applied for the wrong industry!!! She needs to be trained correctly then train her staff correctly!!!

Well I must say I thought Never to…

Well I must say I thought Never to write such a review but I simply must.
My husband, a Senior and extremely Trust Worthy in his views on other people visited Weldene Dental in Ashford Kent and “I FEEL” he was taken advantage of.
He visited the Hygienist on Saturday 05th April and was “Mislead” into paying £35 extra on top of the standard price of £75 just to have a “Air Flow Clean” as well as a Standard. The extra £35 charge on top was not even mentioned. This took the price to £110 YES £110! to my humble mind a complete rip off to a Senior Citizen and should not be allowed to happen. We paid, but Never Again will Peter Terry be “Talked” into having a Hygienist Appointment Again. Disgraceful Guys. Disgraceful.. Sorry🙏🏻🙏🏻 (Written by his wife Susan Terry)

INCONSIDERATE STAFF

I was so sick with the flu and had excessive productive cough that I thought any hygienist would not want to have a client coughing like that, so i made the courtesy to call a day before and ask if i can reschedule the appointment but then they wouldn’t reconsider and said they will still charge me a deposit for a late cancellation. I understand the rules but this should not be absolute and someone should make the exceptions especially if it’s not the patient’s choice or fault at all. So i didn’t want to lose my deposit so i told them i’ll keep my appointment and still went anyway. I was coughing the entire procedure and who knows if they’re sick now too! So inconsiderate!!!! Will never recommend at all! You are losing me and my family as your customers.
