A bit disappointing

A bit disappointing, I have to buy some radiators from here and some from traderadiators.com to get the size I needed, in both cases I was buying anthracite column radiators. The ones from traderadiators came direct from their warehouse could be tracked and arrived the next day. Whereas columnradiators4u first of all recorded by order incorrectly and then although columnradiators4u website implied next day delivery, they actually came form manufacturer and only arrived three days later at 5.30pm, I was unable to track delivery time and getting concerned they would not return in time.
The actual quality of the radiators was much the same apart from one important difference. The traderadiators.com ones had hooked brackets that were barely visible, but the columnradiators4u were very visible, especially on the 2 column model which was quite a disappointment. When I rang columnradiators4u about this they just told me that was upto the manufacturers and they did not have such details. To be fair when I looked at what I had purchased online there was infact a picture of the brackets but it really wasnt clear. Idont knwo if all their radiators have these inferiot brackets or just these ones but I really think they should explain bracketing options on the site.

Reference – Radiator Brackets

We are sorry that the brackets were not what you expected, but as mentioned when we spoke different brackets from different manufacturers can differ.

After speaking with you I did pass your feedback on, In relation to images showing the brackets more clearly and I have been advised by our continuous improvement department this is something they are currently working on.

Terrible service

Terrible service. Misleading advertising on their website. They specifically say "next day delivery" on the radiators I ordered.

I ordered 4 radiators before 11am. I received 1 of the 4 two days later, and I now have just been told the other 3 will be delivered 6 days (4 working days) later.

They said one of the manufacturers called and left a voicemail trying to arrange delivery. I got no missed call, or voice mail.

Reference – Delivery Delay

Firstly I would like to apologise for the delay in the delivery of your radiators. Due to the time of year and the high demand for our products, we are experiencing some delays in delivery lead times.

This is due not only to the high demand and volume, but also our to carriers being busy again down to the time of year.

We are currently working on our websites to update this information to advise of our current lead times, to avoid further challenges.

Good Customer Services

My first review was based on the poor performance of their courier and lack of communication of this, however I have now understood that they are agents for the manufacturers and therefore issues are out of their control. I am pleased to say that my issues have now been resolved for which the customer service side of things is very good, they called me to discuss the issues and did everything they could to help resolve them. I have since provided feedback on some points to Paul Duffy a Senior person within the company who has advised me that all the issues will be looked into to see if improvements can be made
Based on the good after sales care I have update my rating from 1 star to 3 stars and would probably use them again if needed.

I bought a column radiator from these (not a cheap one), the radiator was promised for delivery the next day, I ordered the radiator and valves on Wednesday night on 19/7/17 and was told delivery would be Friday 21st July.
I received a text message from DPD to say that delivery would be Friday 21st as agreed and it gave a 1hr delivery window, I was really happy about this.
DPD delivered but it appeared to only be the valves, I called Column Radiators 4 u to ask what had happened to the radiator, they advised that this was with another courier and that it will be delivered by 6pm on Friday, I was not made aware when the order was placed that the delivery would be split up onto 2 couriers and I wasted the day waiting in for the delivery.
I waited in until 7pm on Friday for the delivery and I tried to call Column Radiators 4 u to find out what was the ETA on the delivery only to find out that they had closed, I tried to contact the courier (Tuffnells) direct to ask the same question only to find out that they were closed too.
I left messages for Column Radiators about my disgust in this service and spoke to Laura the head of customer services to find out what had happened and to arrange for some compensation for the loss of my time and the inconvenience the company had put on my Family and Myself only to be told that they would not provide any.
My advice is DO NOT USE THEM as they obviously do not know how to treat their customers and to provide them with all the relevant information, clearly they do not understand that to receive a text message from a courier that an assumption would be made that this is the whole order.

Reference – Delivery Challenges

Firstly we would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused by the challenges surrounding your order.

As you mention in your review the radiator and valves you ordered are on a next day service when ordered before 1pm the previous day. Due to your order being a late evening one, this was processed on the 20/07/17 for delivery on the 21/07/17.

In regards to the delivery, the valves are sent directly from ourselves via DPD and the radiators are sent directly from our manufactures. On this occasion it was via Tuffnels.
When you called us on 21/07/17 we did advise of the split delivery and we do apologise that this was not made clear when your order was placed.

I did call to see of I could get any further information in regards to the delivery of the radiator and was advised that it was due to be delivered on 21/07/17 but I was unable to get an exact time.

We are closed over the weekend so unfortunately we did not pick up your messages until the following Monday, but we did prioritise your challenge and ensured you were called at 08:30 the moment we opened to advise I was dealing with this as a priority. On investigating this matter we were advised that the local Tuffnels depot had experienced issues and were unable to fulfil your delivery on 21/07/17 as we had advised.

We were let down by our manufactures & our carriers on this occasion.

I would like to thank you for taking the time in speaking with our General Manager and giving him the opportunity to work with you to make this negative situation in to a more positive one.

We are pleased to hear you now have your radiator and all your comments and feedback have been passed on to our continuous improvement department.

Raw look radiator

I've ordered raw metal radiator and it is stunning. We haven't put it up yet so hopefully there will be no leaks but it certainly looks great and it was delivered promptly.

Excellent

I ordered 2 metallic coloured Apollo column rads - they are great, true to the sample colour, arrived before due date. Excellent service from Column Radiators4U, efficient and friendly, good prompt advice and kept me updated as to status of order. I'd have no hesitation to order again or recommend.
