Received items. 7 pack of wooden stepping stone logs. They turned up mouldy as heck and 3 of the larger ones are a completely different look to the others :(

Having read these mostly negative reviews and having experienced non-communicative customer service and long delays from Cosy in the past, I thought I would add a review to say that I feel things are now actually improving. I have no choice but to order from Cosy Direct when teachers want resources from them and it is always me who has to chase or query them. In the last few months, there has been quite a difference in their now ‘can-do’ attitudes and willingness to help. I’ve had two issues with them recently and both have been sorted in a timely and concerned way - the kind of customer service you’d expect and want.
In summary: I no longer dread ordering from Cosy Direct!

Ordered from Cosy about 2 years and the experience was dreadful - items missing/broken when delivered, items taking months to come, order taken and paid for and then items suddenly out of stock, etc. You will find a previous review on here somewhere.
Two years later and thought we'd give benefit of doubt and give another chance. NOTHING has changed.
£2000 paid up front, some items have arrived broken or parts missing, still waiting for some items after 5 weeks and now have been told that some items are discontinued. Er? At what point were you going to tell us that? Keep our money and hope we never chase?
Dreadful company. Only order from them if you are a masochist.

Disappointed, received an order for an outdoor playgroup to find items covered in footprints, one item a different size to advertised, and screw holes in the legs for the mini tuff tray do not align so it can't be used. I have emailed Cosy and had no response, I've been looking forward to these items arriving for my group. I do not feel the items are of a high quality and the price I paid doesn't justify the products I received. I won't be ordering from Cosy again.

As a school we have used Cosy for 3/4 years for products. Teachers are suitably convinced by the website as it has lots of great products on show. Some of these are availably elsewhere but Cosy is cheaper. Some are not available elsewhere. My reason for writing a review is that many of the reviews below are answered by the company as are our emails and phonecalls. Many of the answers use the same excuses - unprecedented volume of sales, delay on ordering etc etc.
As a school customer over a long period of time I can write with confidence that if you order from Cosy you should be fully prepared for huge delays, missing and broken items, items that need additional pieces making for them or purchasing to make them functional.

I am not usually one to complain but I am so disappointed in my recent order that I cannot leave it at this. Firstly, I made a big order of 19 items using deprivation funding for some children in our care. We have used Cosy so many times and have been really happy. However, I feel the Cosys' standards are going down and their is less costumer care then ever before. After coming back from half term I was surprised that our order had not arrived as it has been almost 2 weeks and one thing we like about Cosy is their quick deliveries. After phoning to chase the order, I was told 5 of our items were discontinued which I was surprised about as we were not informed and and had to chase this up ourselves. If we hadn't, would our order eventually arrive with half the items? would I have eventually got an email? so after 20 minuets on the phone going over all the cancelled items and trying to make replacements, I eventually ended up with £50 credit, which i'm not sure would have kept on record if i had not asked for and email confirmation confirming I still have £50 tied up in these discontinued items. Well today half the items arrived, however the apron tree came with no instructions and I had to phone up to get them, the instructions were pretty useless as the screws were missing and the poles that were meant to 'slide into the holes and screw in from behind' were way to wide to fit into the holes and there were also no holes on the other side that we were supposed to 'screw in'. Some of the items that turned up also looked like they had been outside for months, covered in dust and dirt which felt like they didn't really care about the customer and presentation. We are extremely disappointed in this experience as we order from Cosy all the time, love the products and have never had this many issues. I also feel disappointed for the children whose deprivation funding we used to to buy this items to support their learning.
After we have spent the remaining £50 left over from all our discontinued items, we will properly not be using Cosy again any time soon and we will feel we have just not been cared about.

We recently ordered some large expensive items for our school. These arrive broken and dangerous for children's use. Exposed nails, broken wood and bars. I have tried to contact cosy multiple times to resolve this both via email (including sending photos of the items) and trying to ring. They do not respond to emails (although are quite happy to send multiple invoices demanding payment) and the phone line is only open until one. Absolutely not what we expected from a company that touts children's best interests at its heart. We have used cosy multiple times but won't be any longer!

I would not recommend this company.
We have ordered products months in advance that still haven’t arrived, many of the ones that have arrived are poor quality or have been delivered damaged. We are currently waiting for a third reading throne…
When school budgets are so tight and money is usually raised by PTA and fundraising events, this is really unfair and disappointing for everyone involved.

Our School placed an order in Nov 21. Quick to accept payment! After many e mails and excuses about not sending to N.I re. Brexit EORI number., still no deliveries " one item out of stock" then "several items out of stock" . Now May '22, can not fulfil order. Slow to reply to e mails, if they did at all!
Amazing that all reviews reflect similar experiences, where ever customers are!! My advise = " Have nothing to do with this company- look elsewhere and bin catalogues/ ads."
Wish that I had checked beforehand. Think companies like this, providing for children would take a more professional stance!

We ordered sets of magnifying glasses for our primary school. The company sent different and thoroughly inferior magnifying glasses ( "6cm x 6cm x 13cm. Set of 10... Tough glass" - in fact, the ones they sent were half this size and plastic). Avoid this company at all costs.

I would not advise buying anything from this company. We placed an order for playground equipment. Cosy Direct have invoiced us for the same equipment twice. I have emailed the company three times and received no response. When I have tried to phone nobody picks up the phone. Please save yourself a lot of time and hassle and use a different supplier.

We placed an order for our pre-school with a leavers collection last summer. This has not been received and no refund has been given despite asking for either numerous times.
Responses are few and far between and communication is terrible. It’s a shame as the resources look amazing but the company is anything but.
As soon as I asked for a refund I was told goods had been posted - however we had broken up for Christmas and no one would be there to take delivery - I therefore asked for goods to be posted for when we were back a week later or for a refund so many times but to no avail.

I have ordered many items from Cosy for our Nursery. Based on quality of product I would give 4/5. However, the ridiculous wait times and lack of customer care is 1, thus my overall score is a generous 2.
If Cosy are able to sort out their ordering and customer care systems I would order a lot more of their products.

Awful service. We have been waiting monthssssss for parts of orders. The company aren't replying and meanwhile the parts of the orders we have received are already breaking. Nothing is labelled properly and its a mission working out what goes with what. They've caused so much extra work its a joke

I ordered a few items for my son three weeks before his birthday, assuming that this was more than enough time for delivery. A month later and still no sign of my order, and no reply to any of my emails. Did not arrive in time, and took another month before I was able to get a refund [items had still not been dispatched at this point]. Need to be more clear about delivery times as a two-month wait is neither reasonable nor acceptable!

We are an PVI nursery.We ordered Giant Hollow Blocks from Cosy. They took 3 months to arrive. They have been varnised for outdoor use (rather than heat treated like our other hollow blocks). The varnish is highly slippery so when the children built a bridge with the blocks and planks, the plank slid off the block as soon as they stepped on it. The blocks also slide about when stacked on top of each other. We assessed these as unsafe withing 15 minutes of use and have asked them to be collected in an as new condition and to be refunded. Cosy replied that they had"not had one other complaint of this nature", and then did not reply to my request to have the blocks returned. Their supplier company did not respond to the two emails I sent them. I have left a review on Cosy website which they have not published - there are no reviews at all for the product we bought (26 pack large hollow blocks).

Terrible company. I have worked for two schools who have attempted to purchase items from this company. Items either never arrive, or arrive broken, so we end up asking for refunds.

I gave one star because there was nothing less I could give.
Abomination of a company. We placed orders in early June, paid for them.. and they have never shown up. No one answers the phone, emails are sparse, I left a comment on one of their Facebook posts, which they deleted so no one could read it!!
I had an email to say our order had been delivered and a Man had signed for it.. we have no men at our setting! I got a tracking number, which showed our delivery had been delivered to an address in Coventry! Which is great when we are on the Wirral , 123 miles away!!
I managed to speak with someone who said they'll sort us out, but we still have no orders.
One item, we got told we could have for free for all the messing about.. but I have recently been told that item is discontinued, so we won't be getting it free after all!
Do not waste your time here.. use another company. We are so done with them now. I think legal action is our next step. No one listens to you until you start screaming and shouting.
Cruddy company with absolutely no customer service whatsoever!
