Female left on smart motorway for three hours
On the 6th January 2022, I was a female on my own who broke down on the smart motorway. I was on hold for a very long time before they picked up the phone. When I finally got through to an advisor, she could not locate me and I could not send her any other response other than the location sms which she could send. The location was placing me elsewhere which took 30 mins to even locate me. I feel it was not clear that this was the only option, I thought at least a mechanic would take a look at my car but the only option was a pick up truck. I was then asked to find a local garage or they could not collect my car. I had no idea where I was, so had to google on the side of the motorway the nearest garage and arrange for them to accept my car. I called at 09:00am and did not get picked up till 12:00pm so I was on my own for three hours freezing cold. This really was not the best service and would not recommend for females.
