We were founded in King’s Cross, London, in 2013. We make men's and women's prescription spectacles and sunglasses. Each of our frames is handmade the traditional way, going through 50 stages of production before they are ready to adorn your face. Our London workshops also offer full eye exams.

Great specs but please fire DPD!

Great glasses (I’m on my sixth pair) but you need to change couriers - DPD’s utter incompetence is making you look bad and causing your customers to consider shopping elsewhere (as in somewhere the courier actually takes the glasses to the address on the parcel). DPD has screwed up the delivery on my last two purchases. This time, I got a ‘sorry we missed you’ message, accompanied by a photo of a house elsewhere in the village. Fearing the worst, I instead opted to collect from a nearby collection point. I’ve just checked the order and DPD, in its wisdom, has instead elected to return to sender. So no glasses, a complete waste of my time and now the hassle of chasing up with Cubitts. Seriously, pick a courier that can actually find addresses, actually deliver parcels and stop infuriating your loyal customers!

The glasses themselves and service from Cubitts would be a 5 but dragged down by their [poor] choice of courier to partner with.

I can’t praise Cubbits enough.

Cubitts produces the most fabulous glasses. They offer an excellent array of styles to choose from, with exceptional value. The presentation of your new eyewear package is very much appreciated—I love the little extras. The quality of the materials is of a very high standard, and their customer service is incredible (if you are reading this, Kyrene, thank you once again.) Many companies forget how vital aftercare is; it’s what keeps a customer coming back. I’ll never use anyone other than Cubitts.

Best customer experience ever

Best customer experience ever - I would highly recommend Cubbits. I saw several different people over a few visits and all of them were highly knowledgeable, professional, friendly and able to give practical advice.

Marketing with no substance

Cubitts clearly cares about brand perception and marketing but unfortunately fall short on quality and service. Only had my glasses since May with careful usage and storage. The glasses have developed scratches and I’ve been told this isn’t covered under warranty. I wouldn’t bother with this company. They look great on the surface but look under the hood, and it’s not great at all

Na, ja.......

Design und Qualität des Acetats sind unbestreitbar sehr gut, aber die Qualität der Gläser lässt zu wünschen übrig. Die Sehstärke ist nur an der oberen Hälfte der Brille gut. Schaue ich mit den Augen nachbunten ohne den Kopf zu bewegen, wird alles unleserlich. Enttäuschend. Habe früher schon bei Cubitts eingekauft....leider lässt die Qualität nach

Specs are amazing quality

Specs are amazing quality and the most robust I’ve ever owned (still looking great after 2 years). Optician was thorough and informative and frank about not selling me new glasses when I didn’t need a lense upgrade. Love the design aesthetic and extras like the lense cloths.

Great help through the website

Help received through the website, provided an excellent service with prompt and problem solving responses. Direct contact via email with a human being who was efficient and empathetic.
I have had a similar experience in the Jermyn Street shop.

A disappointing experience from a brand that has a supposedly good reputation.

I placed an order with Cubitts for a Plender frame and sunglasses clips on. Order arrived with the sunglasses clips on missing and the frames of the glasses are covered in scuffs and scratches. They look like they are second hand and have been booted about. There was also no paperwork or invoice with the package.

Also to add the build quality of the frames is poor for the price point. They feel very light and flimsy.

It says they went through quality control, but if that is how they left it means nothing.

It is a real shame as they have such a good reputation. I am rather disappointed.

From my experience I would avoid them.

Ordered a pair of glasses online 21st…

Ordered a pair of glasses online 21st August and I still have not received them. I have emailed customer services a few times asking for an update and as yet have not received any response. I would not order from this company again, which is a shame as my previous experience with them was excellent.

The variety and quality of its products. The attention that the personnel gives to the customer, their professionalism and knowledge. Moreover, their eye tests are through and exhaustive in every detail related to your eyes and their health. Their recommendations and the way the information is conveyed is really helpful.

I love coming to Cubitts

I love coming to Cubitts. I love all my frames (I have four now) and have my eyes on another pair. I always feel looked after and an important customer. Lovely staff - always.

JUDD frames in red

I really wanted the Judd glasses in red but it had sold out online. I went into the Edinburgh shop and the customer assistant couldn’t have been more helpful. She found the frames in stock in the Borough store, called the store to confirm this and ordered for me. I’ve been shopping with Cubitts since 2019 and every interaction has been professional and friendly. I love the quality of the frames (still wearing that first frame since 2019 daily!) and know that the follow up care is going to be excellent with my new frames too!

fantastic experience in Cambridge

fantastic member of staff in Cambridge - was a Sunday - he was the only staff on duty, he was so very helpful with myself and customers before me (whom also purchased). Bought wonderful sunglasses with lots of advice on lens / frame colours.

I ordered some glasses online but didn’t feel comfortable with them when they arrived, so I drove all the way from Bristol to the Cubitts Borough store to make sure I found the right pair. Hannah was absolutely brilliant, she listened carefully to everything I had to say and gave thoughtful advice on the next steps. Her welcoming, caring approach made me feel totally looked after, and she went above and beyond to ensure I only walked away once I ordered the glasses I was genuinely happy with. Exceptional service from start to finish. Thank you, Hannah!

Absolutely Helpful

I was stuck in London with a pair of glasses that had become warped during the day. Everything I looked at was on a diagonal as the frame was warped. I have very poor eyesight so needed to have them urgently fixed. Another very posh optometrist close to Cubbitts absolutely blankly refused to help. I walked into Cubbitts Covent Garden, not very optimistic but was met by a most helpful and friendly receptionist and optometrist. Both offered to help and fixed the problem immediately and did not even charge me anything. For their service, the time, their great customer service and their willingness to help - I would have happily paid...but they refused to accept. I was absolutely delighted. What a great service. I will definitely go there when I need my next eye test. Thank you Cubbitts Covent Garden!
