My sister found this page via Instagram, I clicked there page to find low budget wardrobes which I was shocked with. I stooled for a day or two and should have initially stuck with my institcs.

I emailed the company and the responded a day later. Although I acknowledge I took a day or two to respond I did provide images of where I wanted my installed wardrobes.

They automatically scheduled a date and time on my behalf without contacting me via phone.I asked if I could do a later time that day. They then emailed me late at night with the following week again a time nor date that I couldn't do again .

At this point I just wanted to speak to someone on the phone as I was tired of the delayed response in emails and the emails amounting up.

I tried to contact there phone number ok the website it was not valid.

This I found bizarre as I could see it was a mobile number.

I tried again the next day to no avail.

So I asked via email for a number in which they provided me the same number as seen on the website again to no avail.i sent an email and even screen shot the number not going through.

I even asked my sister to call from her own phone to no avail.

I should have listened to my instincts as my suspicions were right.

I read there reviews from previous customers and THIS confirmed my suspicions

Today I miraculously get a phone call saying our phone lines is working now .Really ! - I explained to the gentleman that there phone line hasn't been working for a week and after reading trust pilot it confirmed to me I definitely won't be pursuing with THIS company that can't event get the communication right from the get go.

Please read the reviews and avoid this company!

Problems with both the product and communication

We originally ordered our kitchen in September 2024. Initially we had a good experience, with detailed online meetings to discuss the design. We opted for two finishes which they noted on the drawings.

The first issue we encountered was that the kitchen arrived all in one finish and it took a couple of months for them to resupply them items required in the second finish. This delayed us fitting the kitchen.

The second and far worse issue is that despite the products looking absolutely beautiful when they arrived and were installed, once cleaned it became apparent that the finish had not been correctly sealed. Using the care products they supplied and a microfibre cloth, light cleaning resulted in streaking down the doors and the finish has worn off the handle areas in under a year. The company agreed to take a look at one of the doors and confirmed it didn't pass their 'water bead test'. They said they couldn't understand why this had happened but would refinish our kitchen as a 'goodwill gesture' instead of agreeing it should be addressed under the lifetime warranty. We pushed back on this as were worried they wouldn't take full responsibility for any further issues if we agreed it was a goodwill gesture rather than a fault with the finish, which we knew it must be as we had used only the products they supplied and treated it with care.

They returned our door with a new, shiny finish which we don't care for particularly but were willing to accept if it would make the kitchen cleanable. In the middle of the conversation about how we would progress to refinish the remainder of the kitchen, communication has gone totally dead as they have gone into administration. We now have a kitchen with streaky doors, with one odd door which is shiny while the others are matt, after having paid around 18k for what we hoped was our dream kitchen. No one will reply with information on whether the warranties are insured as is sometimes the case when companies go into administration.

I can only say that perhaps we're luckier than some as at least we have the doors, even if we now have to find a way of refinishing them. We are now looking into any action that we can take to get them to honour the warranty as part of the settlement.

A bad review as they are in adminstration. Bear in mind, in my opinion, this is highly unlikely to be the fault of the staff, who are apparently working, in spite of probably not getting paid. Given the price of the products and the quality, I assume that this adminstration is down to poor finanical management or some problen in the supply chain. Feel so bad for the people who have spent money and not received products, I know that is incredibly stressful, and the staff who are working (guessing without pay, so close to christmas). I hope it works out in some way for everyone. Maybe a competitor will acquire them. I managed to get my stuff relatively recently. I hope the people who are owed, get something back. Sad for all involved.

soo upsetting

we paid in full 4 months ago, received half of the kitchen and half is still missing. Does anyone know who the administrator is? Does anyone know who they used as supplier for the textured oak finish and which oil they used? We will have to make this ourselves as the money is gone, its soo upsetting.

Took my order and money on 21st…

Took my order and money on 21st October, clearly knowing they were going under. Shady as hell.

Email received today stating they were ceasing trading and going into administration. Scumbags.

EDIT - I've engaged with HUSK already who offer a similar service - better comms so far & a discount on offer for those impacted over here.

Someone asked about somewhere for customers to share info. I created a sub-reddit called "Custom fronts kitchen fronts in administration" within the DIYUK sub.

Another very unhappy Customs Front customer

Hi, another very disappointed and frustrated Custom Front customer here. Really helpful to read the recent reviews. We paid them in full for our order 2 weeks ago. We haven't even had an acknowledgement of the money or any communication from the company. Have made several phone calls and sent several emails. They cancelled a Zoom call I had booked for this am. I am now sending a formal letter before going to the Small Claims Court to try and recover our money.

*EMAIL RECEIVED TODAY (13.11.25) TO SAY THAT CUSTOM FRONTS HAS STOPPED TRADING… what now??!

We are unfortunately in the EXACT same position as the most recent reviewers. I'm sorry that others are going through this too. We paid almost 7 weeks ago and have received no updates regarding whether the production has started and/or when we can expect the door fronts to arrive. This is despite PLEADING with them via email/ voices messages to get back to me.

I’m genuinely now feeling like they’ve taken our money and gone.

My husband was not keen on spending this much money, but I convinced him that this would be our dream kitchen & worth it so we cut corners and tried making savings elsewhere to justify it.

It’s shocking that this company took our custom when, I know now, they were clearly already struggling. If anyone can share advice as to what we do in this situation I’d be grateful.

If Custom Fronts communicate and the cabinets arrive I'm more than happy to update and edit this review, but just wanted to warn people that this has been our experience so far.

Zero communication after payment

We ordered what we thought was going to be our dream kitchen back in August and paid almost £16k up front. Initially the communication was fast and helpful, and the design sessions were brilliant. We paid in full to secure a November build slot and have since had zero communication from anyone at Custom Fronts. After stumbling across other reviews here with the same problem, it seems something is definitely going on. I'll give them the benefit of doubt for now, and I'm leaving this in the hope that someone from their team sees this message and gets in touch. As it stands it looks like we've been conned and will be without a kitchen, and have no idea if we need to go elsewhere. Way to treat your customers guys!

Extremely Concerned About Communication After Paying in Full

Up until the point of handing over more than £10,000 for my order, Custom Fronts responded quickly and were easy to communicate with. However, since paying in full, the communication has completely dropped.

I have emailed every day for over two weeks with barely any response. I received one message a week ago saying final plans would be signed off that day, but nothing since. I’ve tried calling, emailing, and even contacting them via Instagram, but I keep being directed back to the same sales email that nobody replies to.

I have a kitchen fitter booked for early December and need to order my worktops a month in advance, but without a delivery date from Custom Fronts I’m now at risk of delays and extra costs.

I’m extremely worried at this point. All I need is basic communication and a confirmed timescale. I really hope the company resolves this quickly, but currently I can’t recommend them based on my experience so far.

paid full amount 13 weeks ago and still no materials on site!!!

We were instructed to pay the full amount in July to secure the materials and a delivery window of 10–13 weeks. We are now well beyond that timeframe. I received an email in the third week of September confirming the materials, yet even last week I was informed that no materials were on site and that the sales representative would check with the workshop. Despite my numerous calls and emails, I have received no response.
We are extremely frustrated by the lack of clear communication and the absence of any updates. It is becoming increasingly difficult to understand what is causing such a long delay — at this point, it feels as though you might be growing your own trees to source the material.

Unresponsive

Had the intro call, got my Ikea plans together, had the proper 45 min consultation, was told on that consultation that I would receive my quote same day. I then chased by email for 10 days and still haven't received anything, let alone a confirmation that they've even received my emails. Incredible frustrating as I've lost time and my kitchen is going in soon, ironic given it was Custom Fronts on the call telling me I need to move quickly.

Hi Harvey, we've been in touch and we are really sorry. We hold our hands up here, Your quote did fall between the cracks between 1 October and 11 October. Initially we gave you a really good service - we offered you an urgent design consultation on the 20th September, but you were away so didn't get back to us until the 30th.

We then made space for you the next day on 1st October, and said we'd get the quote to you urgently. Frustratingly, even though we did prepare the quote, we left it in drafts while checking a detail, and thought we'd sent it. To compound the issue, your reminders went to spam.
This is entirely our fault. You now have the quote and we made sure that you haven't lost your place in our schedule. We assure you this isn't our usual standard.

Amazing product and great customer service.

The customer service was great right from the start. A design call was carried out to ensure everything was understood with sizes and material. Contact throughout the rest was always responsive. Lastly the product is absolutely amazing! Really rate the quality and the look of the product. Everything came packaged very well. A stars! Thanks Custom Fronts!

Excellent re-finishing service

The company got in touch as they’d identified a problem with the original finish of our cabinets. They offered to re-finished everything & even fit us with temporary fronts during the process so that our toddler couldn’t access the drawers.
When working at our house they were super friendly & professional, left no mess & the re-finished cabinets look perfect.
Joe was extremely informative & communication was great so we understood how the process would work.
We’re so pleased with the result & very impressed that the company themselves contacted us about the issue when so often it would be the other way round. We will definitely recommend to friends & would like to use Custom Fronts again in the future.

Beautiful product and great customer care

We have been so impressed with Custom Fronts. The products and the service received have exceeded our expectations. We love our kitchen. We chose warm bamboo doors and never tire of looking at them.
The aftercare from the whole team has been great and Joe, in particular, was so friendly and professional. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them - and have already.
