No where on their website does it say to make an appointment just to view their kitchens! Checked online their opening times for Saturday before I set off and it states they are open 10-3 on a Saturday but closed over a few days over Christmas, it’s March!
Drove all the way across London just to have a look at the kitchens as I’ve already had kitchen design appointments elsewhere and I just wanted to actually view the quality of their kitchens! It was shut! Called up just to find out why the person who works their is on holiday- maybe this would be helpful to put on your website as NOT everyone wants a appointment they just would like to see the quality of their kitchens first before booking a design consultation! What a waste of 2hours

I checked the opening times and online there was nothing on your website that it was closed as I mentioned it just said closed over the Christmas holidays, I think the website has been updated since I called to find out why the store was not open!

We had a great experience with TPC team and the comms back from Alan was great. Overall the quality of the product was great, we had an experienced fitter doing the fitout for us but he was very pleased with the quality but also the instructions/layout. Would highly recommend.

Alan and the team were so responsive throughout the entire process. From the design, to measurements, and further changes along the way. Excellent customer service and response times. They ensured our kitchen, utility and pantry was exactly what we wanted. Delivery process was also flawless and we are thrilled with the quality of the cabinets. Great quality kitchen for a fraction of the cost, a few issues but less about the company than making sure you have the experience yourself or have a fitter that can help guide you through.

I wanted a bespoke kitchen with specific design points without paying through the nose on a designer kitchen. PKC were fantastic, easy ordering, great customer service (our kitchen was delayed but Alan went above and beyond to get us back on track). I would caution however that this is a DIY Kitchen type of process where you will need to have a good kitchen fitter to help you with measurements and to point out the small but important things (like how much overhang to have on your worktops, how pieces fit together, what parts to order for bespoke extractor housing etc.) and be confident in designing!

I had several issues (not due to the company, but I was inexperienced in the building and installation. Alan and the staff at Painted Kitchen Co. were fantastic! The customer service, attention to detail, and overall service was second to none. I would highly recomend the company. The kitchen itself is fantastic quality and very well made. I will be ordering more for our utilty in the new year!

My Experience Creating the Dream Kitchen
Inspiration and Initial Challenges
For as long as I can remember, my dream kitchen has been an “in frame painted kitchen.” After doing considerable research, however, I realised this vision seemed beyond my budget, especially since the new kitchen would be quite large. We visited many of the well-known high street kitchen suppliers, but I was not satisfied with the compromises required to keep within our financial limits.
Discovering the Painted Kitchen Company
While browsing Instagram, I came across the Painted Kitchen Company and decided to visit their Christchurch showroom. I immediately sensed that with some careful planning and extra effort, I could achieve my ideal kitchen at an affordable price. Armed with a scale ruler and graph paper, I mapped out the design. John was helpful and provided advice and renders to show what the space would look like. After several revisions and tweaks, we placed an order for a premium primed flat-packed kitchen.
Logistics and Delivery Experience
With a kitchen extension underway, coordinating the delivery with the builders was a bit of a gamble, but it ultimately worked out. The kitchen arrived on the scheduled date, though the delivery team’s professionalism left something to be desired. Initially, they mistakenly drove to an address in London instead of the south west where we live so they were two and a half hours late and they struggled to carry the heavy kitchen boxes across our muddy building site—made more challenging by their choice of canvas trainers as footwear.
Assembly and Customisation
Over the following weeks, our building team’s carpenter assembled the kitchen. While it’s certainly possible to take a DIY approach, our large kitchen and the need for a few modifications to fit certain appliances made professional assembly preferable. Additionally, a few of the supplied drawer fronts were incorrect and needed resizing, and there was a communication hiccup regarding a pull-out cabinet door. Thankfully, Alan from the company kindly resolved the issue and even delivered the door personally.
Painting and Finishing Touches
I initially planned to have the Painted Kitchen Company’s painters finish the work, but due to a long lead time and other rising expenses, I decided to paint it myself. As someone who enjoys painting furniture and home decorating, I knew what to expect, but the size of the space proved challenging, and I was disappointed with the finish on the cabinet doors. Alan once again provided valuable advice: he recommended paint rollers from “Two Fussy Blokes,” which made a tremendous difference and left me delighted with the final result.
Ongoing Maintenance
One important consideration for anyone choosing a painted kitchen is the need for regular touch-ups. To make this process easier, I filled small paint pots with the appropriate colour and stored them in a kitchen cupboard. This way, it’s simple to touch up worn edges or scuffed kickboards as needed.
Having taken a while to decide where to put things and then learn where to find things in our new kitchen, we are absolutely delighted with the end result.

Further to recent review…..
We were so happy with our original units that we’ve extended the kitchen to another area. Again great service, even when the units were delayed due to shipping issues we were kept up to date and the communication was excellent. We managed to take advantage of the summer sale which saved us £££. The units are built and I just need to get the painting done but so happy with the results. Now do we go for the dresser top 🤔. 10/10 highly recommend!

We cannot recommend Painted Kitchen enough and are absolutely over the moon with our kitchen. From the London showroom visits to the multiple revisions to our designs completed by Martin we were bowled over by their knowledge and patience. The quality of the kitchen is fantastic, and a fraction of the price of other quotes we received. We love the dovetail drawers, reeded glass etc and the builders were really impressed with the quality too. Only feedback on improvements would be we paid £350 for the space to be measured for the kitchen and they got some of the measurements wrong, our builder/fitter was able to resolve the issues but I recommend getting your builder to measure instead if possible. Otherwise 10/10 fantastic!

Saw the Painted Kitchen Co following a google search for oak laminated carcass. I thought initially it was too good to be true. Prices were very good, great selection of cabinetry and clear website.
I knew I needed some custom pieces, I assumed I would need to customise myself, or find a good fitter. But I mailed in with my needs and had really quick and professional response to my questions.
Ordering process was really straight forward, I could select some customised pieces and decide whether I wanted flat packed or pre-built. I opted for a mix as I knew I would need certain pieces before others (as had to get worktops fitted)
The ordering process was great, John & Alan both helped with my requests and suggested better alternatives.
They were very clear on the timescales, costs, delivery and it was a completely painless order.
On delivery day they advised in advance and the delivery team turned up on time, every thing was expertly packaged delivered with care.
Now I have the units I have realised what a great quality it is for the price. The carcass is extremely well made, Oak is laquered and great fixtures and fittings. The primed panels are very smooth and well finished.
I noticed the kitchen parts are manufactured in china to a UK design, cannot emphasise how good the quality is for the price.

I'm so pleased I went with The Painted Kitchen, faultless service and excellent product. Just wish I had found it when I was doing my utility room! rather than just my pantry.

Everything about this company deserves 5*

1) The free design service, super quick response to tweaks, no limit on revisions and no sales pressure. (Thank you John for your patience)

2) The design and materials used to create each unit is far superior to all the well known kitchens. The dovetail joints on the drawers, solid wood carcasses and solid brass butt hinges are sure to last (no lifting laminate films or crumbly chipboard here!)

3) Fantastic value for money, we were able to achieve everything we wanted for our kitchen and stayed within budget.

4) Delivery was made on the requested day. The driver also called to give an expected time of arrival too.

5) Unfortunately we did have two snags that needed replacement, PKC ensured the items were sent out quickly so our trades were not affected. (Thank you Alan!)

I spoke with several staff and they were all friendly, patient and helpful. We visited the showroom on the outskirts of London, without an appointment, mainly to check out the quality of the kitchen. This was really helpful also because we saw the different unit options e.g. 300mm pull out, 2 and 3 drawer options etc.

There was no hard sell at any point. I had a good idea of what I wanted but they helped to pull it together with the design service. I went through multiple iterations of design plans to ensure a downdraft and some other things could be accommodated and they never seemed troubled by this. The design service was entirely free.

The ordering process was straight forward. The delivery arrived as planned, on time.

Upon arrival everything was packed well, communication was great, and the kitchen is excellent quality - very solid, perfect experience all round, highly recommend!

Quality and build of units great. Couple of items missing, but they were provided very quickly. My kitchen fitter thinks it is very good value for money. Only negative comment was the after sales response to reporting missing items.Would still recommend without reservation.

Martin and Alan have both been super helpful in the design and delivery process - poor Martin must have mocked up about 10 variations of my kitchen and pantry, but he did so with no fuss until I decided on the final design!
The prices are very reasonable for a solid kitchen, more so than the likes of Howdens.

We have just fitted our kitchen from Painted Kitchens and we could not be happier. The quality is fantastic and it looks even better than we had hoped. We opted for fully built as we were fitting ourselves and it was straight forward. We had everything we needed to fit the kitchen and only needing some additional skirting which was sent out asap foc. Martin and Alan were very helpful and very patient with my numerous changes and questions and also very helpful and supportive when we had building issues which meant we needed to delay our delivery. I painted the kitchen myself which was easier than I thought using Little Greene intelligent satin. I researched several different similar kitchen companies and found Painted Kitchens the best value overall too. I would highly recommend a kitchen from this company.

Similar to another post on here I too purchased a kitchen from the Painted Kitchen co back in 2019 (or the classic kitchen co as it was known back then) and having moved into a new property and planning a full house renovation we decided to use them again as we were hugely impressed with them the first time round. We naively assumed we were getting the same product, sadly this was not the case. In that time they have moved their manufacturing to China to cut costs and unfortunately the quality has also taken a hit.

When our kitchen arrived I was immediately disappointed with it, so much so that I had to get in contact with them to highlight this and also ask about the numerous scuffs and dents accumulated through transit. Unfortunately, they were super defensive and mentioned that filler was supplied for this purpose something I thought odd given the cost and found it incredibly dismissive. The quality is nothing like what it used to be so much so that we had to pay our carpenter an additional 3 days labour just to fit it, doors needed to be rehung and uneven gaps either side of the drawers which are still there now. When this was pointed out to them and images sent across they tried to blame our fitter which we thought was ironic given he was the same kitchen fitter we used to fit our kitchen back in 2019 which they advertise both on their website and Instagram page. After a number of back and forth emails they finally agreed to send someone out to investigate but given their previous emails and reluctance to help we decided to just get our fitter to crack on as I was 9 months pregnant and needed a kitchen asap as we figured from previous communication they wouldn't be of much use.

Our kitchen has now been in a few months and the quality keeps letting us down as it's made of soft wood and is incredibly easy to dent and scratch and is not in any way conducive to a family environment. All in all I regret that I didn't do my due diligence and would not recommend using them. It was an expensive mistake on my part and no way worth what I paid for it (14k plus cost of labour and painting).) I will say the ordering and design process was speedy just a shame the end product isn't great. If you're debating on using these guys make sure you do your research as it's a very expensive mistake to get wrong like I have.

The quality of the kitchen is exceptional. My husband is a carpenter with almost 35 years in the building industry and has very exacting requirements for the items we buy for our home. The quality of the materials was as important as the look we were trying to achieve. The team at Painted Kitchen Company were good about turning around the design, as we tweaked and modified to ensure we were buying a kitchen that we would love for years to come. Everyone who has walked into our kitchen has been impressed - it looks like one you would see in a high end magazine. We would recommend Painted Kitchen Company to anyone looking for a sophisticated and well made kitchen.

Really pleased with the quality of the kitchen. I opted for the flat pack option to save money and assembling the units was really easy; they have instructional videos on the website.

The units themselves are very good quality. You can really feel and see the difference when compared to the usual kitchens you would find in some of the high street competitors. We've had many compliments from visitors!

We worked with Martin & John to design our kitchen; we had a good idea of what we wanted and they brought great suggestions and experience to the design.
