2023 Data Leak: In early 2023, researchers at Cybernews discovered that Cutout.Pro’s open Elasticsearch servers leaked 9 GB of user data, including email addresses, IP addresses, and potentially sensitive customer information.
2024 Massive Data Breach: In February 2024, a hacker claiming to be 'KryptonZambie' posted 5.93 GB of stolen data on the BreachForums hacking site, containing over 41 million records from Cutout.Pro. The breach exposed email addresses, names, IP addresses, phone numbers, API keys, and salted MD5 password hashes of nearly 20 million users.
I WOULD RECOMMEND OTHER PEOPLE TO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE AS THEY CAN USE YOU UPLODED THINGS IP ADDRESSES AND WHAT NOT WHICH CAN THEN USED TO HARM YOU LIKE GENERATING YOUR PHOTO FOR IMMORAL PURPOSES. As everybody else here is saying, this site is a scam, i also got hacked and i finally found out it was by this shit scam site thanks to MalwareBytes. I’m still getting spam mails and i’m pretty sure my data and idk what else is flying around darkweb. Honestly ridiculous and they really deserve to be sued.🙃

A parte lo scandalo DATA LEAK, fatto comunque molto grave di cui trattano pure molte altre recensioni, questo sito di AI per editare foto è veramente deludente. L'ho utilizzato per estrarre l'immagine di una donna da una foto e inserirla in un'altra foto, cambiando cioè lo sfondo. La AI avrebbe dovuto creare sia l'immagine vettoriale della donna sia l'ambientazione, il setting ove inserirla. Di fatto ha fallito in entrambi i versi, perchè l'immagine vettoriale è stata creata in maniera rozza, con particolari venuti proprio male e pixelati (soprattutto i piedi), e anche l'ambiente creato dalla AI, oltre che spoglio, era ridicolo. Ad esempio una scalinata che però finiva con un muro!

I was hacked, and I used Malwarebytes to find out if and where my info has been leaked. I saw that cutout.pro had leaked not just me, but 20 million people. It's quite disgusting to see this website leaking our data. I didn't even use it, yet my email address and password got leaked.

This website is basically for image enhancement, etc but it leaked my data/account profile over the dark web. Please never use this site to enhance or enlarge your photos.

Leaked emails on the dark web. I would never consider giving them any more information, let alone a credit card number.

No response, cannot change my costy subscription plan, I have contacted them through many channels. No Facebook posts for a long time, seams not to exist anymore but still receiving the money.

Poor product. Canceled account, but they continue to take $$ from my bank, despite their assurances they had dealt with issue. They're very hard to contact. Very slow to respond once you do get in contact, and then they do nothing. 👎👎👎👎👎

They stole my data and found it on Dark Web.

data was breached and they didnt care about it. my data is stolen and they didnt update us on anything. if this is how less you care about your customers, you deserve nothing but your business shut down.

In early 2023, their basic background remover app actually worked fine. However, the app was very basic. When the background remover failed, it threw an unhelpful error and consumed my credits. It was still ok because at least I managed to remove the background to most of my images.

Fast forward to today, I paid for their most basic subscription ($5 to be exact) and the same app failed miserably. Just like before, it consumed my credits while spitting out errors. Since I was in a hurry, I moved on to another tool and asked for a refund.

Kostja from the marketing department replied saying that finance department will process the refund within 14 days. I sent a chaser 2 weeks later and I was told that the refund was being processed. Well, it's been more than a month and nothing came back.

I no longer want to waste my time chasing them for $5. Just know that their tool is broken, they don't care for refunds, and customer experience is sorely neglected (they haven't replied to a single comment on Trustpilot). Caveat emptor!

Give cutout.pro a miss because there are many more legit background remover tools in the wild. If you're tech savvy, try rembg or backgroundremover on github. These are 100% free tools that work fast and flawlessly and on your laptop.

I recieved a report from Norton (my Antivirus) that they have leaked my Email, IP adress, whole name and password to the Dark web. Not to mention the website is trash and doesn´t even work. I´m shure that they have to steal the data and sell it, to get money because no one wants to pay for their trash service
