Love shopping online with Dangerfield. The quality of knitwear is great. Only thing I’d like changed is reduce spend required to get free shipping ie $65 like other retailers rather than $250.

Terrible Customer Service and worse refund policy
Their refund policy is absolute garbage. I was refused a refund (requesting store credit, not even a full refund, for an item that was unworn with tags still attached) and was denied because I was one day past their cut off date.
I even appealed to their support, but the response was pretty much “too bad”.
Clearly they don’t care at all about their customers, for the sake of a few dollars.
Not trustworthy at all
They took a long time reaching out to me after i emailed them about wanting to cancel my order because of a ‘freight charge’ they tack on after you’ve already bought the item for international orders. i would’ve been fine covering it if they had out it in the initial cost at first but they did not do that and having purchased from australian brands before i know it’s doable. When they did get back to me about my order they did not cancel it and went ahead and charged for everything. I cannot recommend this dishonest and untrustworthy store. bad communication and transparency. i promise you there are better clothes elsewhere.
I really liked them at firs...
I really liked them at first but their customer service is garbage. They always ship my Canadian orders in 3-5 different packages because they don't have a warehous and ship from their stores. I don't love it, but I only ever have to pay one import fee (logically because it's one order). This time whoever shipped it screwed up and there were two different waybills, five separate packages sent out. Now I've been nailed with multiple shipping company fees on top of the customs. After a morning on the phone with DHL, they said it was Dangerfield's fault, and I believe them because I've never had an issue like that with DHL, and that I should demand a refund on the extra fees because of their filing.
They've rejected and ignored this despite me sending the DHL email, the associate Lakeisha was immediately dismissive to me and pretty much said I was completely wrong without listening. The second person to help was at least not rude but they keep claiming it's not their problem. Nice clothing, terrible shipping/customer service.
Awful experience on every level
Terrible website. Slow and clunky. The "shopping bag" only shows 3 items in total. So it's impossible to change or remove the items that you can't see, even if you remove all of the other items that you can see. I tried it on my phone to see if it was better. Logged in and nothing is in my "shopping bag". Cleared my computer cache and all of that and went back to the computer and the items are still there. I tried getting tech support but I'm still waiting. The sale is about to end but that's okay. I don't really want to give them my money now anyway. What a shame. Dangerfield and Revival used to be great. Times have clearly changed and a good reputation doesn't seem to be important to them anymore.
Unresponsive customer service
Ordered a bag online. Received a completely different item. Emailed customer service as per instructions on their website. Customer service took over a week to respond and when they tried to resolve the issue, they just sent me another, different incorrect item! Their customer service widget is useless. Do not order online from Dangerfield!
Great store
Ordered two dresses from their website on separate occasions this year. Both of them arrived on time and were good quality and true to size. I'm very happy with them.
no reply from customer service
Took weeks to dispatch my order, ordered about 5 things online, they have dispatched them in 3 separate packages. Some from Aus some from NZ. Still haven't got 1 package I've been waiting for even though I placed order weeks ago. I received one of the packages the other day and it had security tags attached to the clothing? Contacted customer service on how to proceed, cant really wear something with a tag attached. Ended up having to go to Just Jeans with the receipt and the nice lady took the tag off for me since Dangerfield can't even be bothered replying. I sent a direct email and asked through the website. Also I measured myself to make sure I got the sizing right and the sizing for the clothing is all over the place. Some things too big, some things too small. Very poor quality and even worse customer service. 10/10 would never purchase from here ever again. Disgusted with the quality and the customer service. Clothes are way too expensive for being shein/temu/aliexpress quality. May as well buy from shein/temu/aliexpress and save 99 percent on the price.
Amazing customer service provided by Sinead
What an absolute pleasure it was to shop in Dangerfield in Westfield Geelong. Sinead our sales assistant was extremely polite, helpful and went out of her way to ensure our shopping experience was top notch and did so with the most beautiful disposition, I was blown away by her excellent customer service skills.
Thankyou Sinead
Goodbye quality, hello big sad
Dangerfield’s quality has absolutely slipped over the years and their clothes are just unwearable now. My last purchase was a dress purchased at full price (which went on sale for less than half price the next day) after washing it, it shrunk two sizes and the length shrunk so short I couldn’t wear it or return it. Anything with a printed design immediately fades, and if it’s printed black it’s immediately speckled with white fibres lifting. The new designs are so childish they are clearly targeting a younger audience, like they think that will stop complaints rolling in around the quality. Acknowledge your customers before you lose them Dangerfield, your customer service is non existent.
I went to Albany branch today
I went to Albany branch today. The sale price of the item was 40% . There was a yellow tag clearly showed the discount. I went to the cashier she told me that the price is wrong. It has changed but they haven’t been informed. She quickly grabbed all the items from the 40% discounted price .
I have been disheartened by the service they are providing with wrong information to their customers.
Incorrect items received and no help
Ordered 4 items for over $200. 3 items were not delivered (a jumper and 2 skirts) and instead I received a parcel with 2 pairs of pants! I have contacted the customer support 3 times and still not heard back so I am $150 out of pocket with no way of even trying to get my items or a refund!
Terrible customer service. I just wish someone would respond.
Non-existent Customer Service
Dangerfield online fulfils a lot of their packages via their brick and mortar stores. Someone from the team in a QLD store decided that they would give me a DAMAGED item without contacting me or changing the price. E-mailed Dangerfield as soon as I could, it’s been two weeks and I’ve heard nothing. They also don’t have a phone number to contact them at either. The only reason I’ve given two stars is due to the fact everything else came in and un-damaged.
Never Again
Placed a very large order online. Several items never arrived but shows as "fulfilled". 2 items were damaged on arrival. Another item was clearly used/worn. Another item was poorly made. The total I spent on the missing, damaged, used, faulty items was $264.10. They refunded $20
When I ordered from here it was 4/26
When I ordered from here it was 4/26, I received it on 5/11 - to give a view on how long the process took. That’s totally a normal amount of time for an international package.
The textiles I ordered weren’t the best (I’m kind of picky about fabric, some of their brands are cotton, some are polyester or acrylic)- but they have cheap and interesting alternative clothing that is often heavily discounted. I’ve ordered from them twice and personally have not had issues.
non existent customer service.
can’t give any more stars as their customer service is NON EXISTENT. like, how difficult would it be to employ a couple of people who deal with emails? also, they send their orders in separate parcels. i live in europe and feel even worse about ordering from the other side of the world now (they’re in australia). never again!
DO NOT TO BUY FROM THIS STORE
I purchased a dress from this store and wanted to return it, shouldn’t be a problem right? WRONG! The dress was on a 20% off promotion when I purchased it, therefore they will not refund!!!! The dress was still for available for purchase in the store not a clearance line. I have never seen another store with this policy. I was purchasing for a themed party and would have never purchased from this store if I knew this policy upon purchase. BUYER BEWARE.
Great styles, poor quality.
Staff in store are delightful - always friendly, engaged, happy to help, proactive.
Love the clothes and the stying, but the quality tends to be very poor - quite overpriced considering the cheap materials and poor workmanship.
Online service is very slow - an online order took 3 weeks to arrive, despite the warehouse being located in my same state.
Worst refund policy in the country
I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with your extraordinary returns policy of refusing to refund flash sale items.
I purchased two items of clothing on the 28th of October from one of your retail stores and as I had my energetic toddler with me at the time I was unable to afford the luxury of trying on the clothes before purchasing, assuming that I could try them on at home and return them to store within a reasonable time. After trying on the articles I felt as if the cut wasn’t to my liking so I attempted to return the goods to the store of purchase the day after (the 29th), only to be told that refunds weren’t possible on sale items and offered a credit or exchange instead.
I attempted to return a second time (9/11) to discuss the issue with the store manager who reiterated your policy on refusing refunds. The goods were purchased less than 14 days ago, are of your current seasons styles and weren’t on clearance.I also presented the original receipt while attempting to return the items.
While I understand that you may not want to refund sales items and are under no legal obligation to do so, it’s more or less the expected norm that any reputable retail store in Australia will be understanding and accommodating to the customers request for a refund in the effort of maintaining positive customer experience and encouraging future purchases.
To that point I have been shopping at Dangerfield for decades, it is one of my favourite clothing stores and at a guess I probably spend at least upwards of a grand a year on your clothes. I’ve returned many items for a refund throughout the years and never encountered this refusal before, which not only has soured my experience of the brand but given me cause to avoid Dangerfield in the future.
Dangerfield has always been a champion of inclusiveness, therefor it comes as a surprise that your organisation seeks to exclude customers who may not be able to/feel comfortable trying on clothes in store. It’s disappointing to discover that your ethics seem to only extend as far as your sales budgets.
While I have every expectation that my complaints will go ignored and that you will stand firm to your refund policy I remain adamant that my years of shopping with Dangerfield are over, so why would I want a store credit then?
Impossible returns, bad quality accessories.
Orders are often partially canceled due to stock issues. I give two stars instead of one because I do truly love the sweater I've gotten from them. It's one of my favorite sweaters of all time. However the harnesses and belts are generally poor quality and sized incorrectly. The last couple I received the "backing" on the harness was completely unglued all over and made it impossible to fit the straps through the loops. The size guide is useless since individual items don't always list what "brand" they are under and each one varies wildly. I typically wear M-L in clothing but even the medium belts are harnesses are massive on me, while a large jumpsuit was pretty tight.
If you live outside of AU returns are impossible and the full cost of shipping back is on the returner. You also can't leave reviews for individual items on their site, so you have no way of knowing if the item you're looking at is generally good quality or not. It makes me sad because I really like the style but I've wasted too much money on things I can't return that simply don't fit and are not made well.
Good luck getting a refund
Ordered online and returned some items back instore for a refund as they didn't fit. Was unable to get a store credit or refund instore and was told the refund would be processed by admin back originating payment method within 5 days. It has now been 3 weeks and unable to get a response from their "Support" team as to when the refund will be processed. A formal dispute has been lodged to the ACCC.
