Love shopping online with Dangerfield. The quality of knitwear is great. Only thing I’d like changed is reduce spend required to get free shipping ie $65 like other retailers rather than $250.

Never ships items. Poor customer service.
Placed an order on 7 September. After placing the order, I automatically received a message saying orders are being dispatched in 6 business days, with a 5 day delay between the ship date and the tracking updates.
Since I never received a shipping notice, I reached out to customer service. Did not receive a response for 2 weeks. The response was that my package hadn't shipped and they didn't know when it would. They asked if I wanted a refund and I said yes.
After that, I did not hear from customer service again. I opened a paypal case and received my money back.
Not sure what's going on with Dangerfield/Princess Highway/Gorman, but I used to purchase from these companies with minimal issues. Now, they are just taking money and never shipping items.
If you want to gamble and spend money there right now, be sure to use Paypal. That way, you can at least get your money back when they don't ship your items for months.

EDIT: Dangerfield finally sent details to return the unwearable shirt, BUT, INVALID RETURN DETAILS SO HAD TO WALK AWAY FFROM AUSTRALIA POST EVEN MORE TICKED OFF THAN BEDORE WITH THE STILL UNWEARABLE SHIRT!!!! Dangerfield is a RISK, you will never receive customer service online if something goes wrong!
Took my money and I got nothing in return
Ordered and paid for 2 jumpers in August. Neither were ever received. A month after making multiple inquiries I was told Courier Post were to blame as they hadn't delivered - however Courier Post had never scanned the items as collected in the first place, they are still sitting as a label has been created in their system. The customer "service" have completely ghosted me since that one message. No refund, no items, they took my money and ran.
I had previously ordered items in March with no trouble. What has happened to this company???
Excruciating experiencing ordering from Dangerfield...
Excruciating experiencing ordering from this company. They don't answer any customer service questions, fail to communicate, and do not provide tracking info for items I paid their full requested international shipping amount for.
I opened a PayPal dispute against them after weeks of no response from them. PayPal gave them 10 business days to respond to my dispute and provide proof of shipment. They did not respond at all and the case was closed in my favor.
Of course they finally respond when they see the money has been taken from them due to the case being closed, telling me one item has been delivered, but the other never made it to production I guess and that it is "unavailable."
It is BEYOND me why they could never communicate that one of the items was out of stock to begin with/when they shipped out the only one item I ordered, where they could have just provided me a refund for that item then and provided proof of shipment for the other item.
It is also BEYOND me why this company would choose NOT to provide tracking info for their customers when it literally provides them the seller protection they need in the instance a dispute is opened against them.
Now they're asking if they can charge me again for the item that arrived...
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME; IT'S NOT WORTH IT.
Terrible customer service - avoid!!!
This is the first time I'm writing a review like this, but I have to share my experience with this company because it's truly beyond atrocious and really disappointing.
I ordered an item in mid July and it could not be sourced. One month later I finally got a response from customer service after several emails, and received a partial refund and a replacement item all to the value of the original item. The replacement item order was processed in mid August. It is now the end of September and this order is still on "pending" with no other status information or sign of the order actually being dispatched. I would like to have the replacement order cancelled and refunded but there does not seem to be any easy way of doing this because emails to customer service do not receive adequate response and live chat messages via the website do not receive adequate responses. I had managed to reach a member of support staff on live chat but they stopped responding to my query after giving a generic "we will look into this" answer, and offered absolutely no help or resolution at all.
....I was literally ghosted on a customer support live chat. I do not believe that this is how customer support live chat is supposed to work....
This is absolute *worst* shopping online experience I've ever had, and the level of customer support is disgraceful.
I do not recommend this company - it seems like items advertised online are not actually readily available to be dispatched and their customer support do not respond properly to emails or other forms of communication to offer resolution to order issues. The sad thing is that this is an international order, and I paid an expensive shipping fee for items that "cannot be sourced".

Terrible online experience
Inefficient delivery and customer service. I ordered a dress for my daughter and l received a Top. Ridiculous! Beside that l had to pay the courier for returning back the wrong item, l sent them a couple emails and no replies at all. Very disappointed.

Don't purchase anything from them. Not only was the item I purchased non-existent and not even in stock, 2 weeks later they still hadn't even bothered to tell me. And all I got was a stingy 10% discount as an apology. Pathetic.

i got a message my package was in australia which was supposed to be sent to Netherlands. when i texted them about it, 1st person told me i ordered pick up which i did not. i texted again ans 2nd person told me it has arrived which did not happen. texted a 3rd time i was told the australiapost messed up and sent it back to seller and they asked me if i want it sent again. i asked for a refund and since then they have ignored 4 of my messages sent in over a week
I really love DF and Black Friday…
I really love DF and Black Friday clothing. I order from the US. It takes a couple weeks to arrive, but that's normal. I've placed 3 online orders so far. One item was incorrect, but otherwise fine. I used the online chat option and was given options of what I/they could do about it, but all involved odd stipulations because it was an international order. I chose to re-order the correct item and be refunded the shipping and price difference. I was told to submit a request for this (the online prompt one with drop-down options) with the info, but didn't hear back. So then used chat and email to get it taken care of. This was immediate and I really appreciate it.
Bad online store
Really really atrocious online customer service. Placed a click and collect order 10 weeks ago and was told they are trying to source an item after 2 weeks of waiting. Emailed twice, called once only to be told the same generic response and to sit tight. Now, they have cancelled that item after waiting 10 WEEKS!!! Very disappointing
Extreme Incompetence and Worst Customer Service
This is the first time in my life writing a review for a company. Just because I would like to warn other people. Please do not make any online purchase from Dangerfield Website. I paid 15$ for shipping. One of the items they sent me had multiple stains, and the other two never arrived. I had to visit their stores multiple times and tried to get a hold of customer service. I finally received my missing items but this time they sent me WRONG items. This is the worst customer service I have ever received in my life and this is next level incompetency. Mistakes on top of mistakes. If you do not want to hate the day you ever shopped here, do not make an online purchase.
Terrible Online Ordering- avoid
I cannot believe how bad their online ordering is - i wish i read these reviewd first. Ordered over three weeks ago, click and collect. After a week i hear my stock has been ordered from another store. They reply to about 3/5 of my emails, most recently saying it is in transit to the store - that was 9 days ago now. Never again- i wanted to support Australian but i have had two asos orders arive in the time that has elapsed. Have requested a refund, hope it arrives but i will never get back that time

I ordered a dress and received a top . They took 3 weeks to reply to my email about this.They eventually responded saying dress was now sold out. They did not care .
Wrong item sent then I was ignored
Ordered a dress, they sent me a completely different dress from what I ordered. I followed their guidelines and submitted a request to get the correct item and they never even replied to my request/emails. Terrible.

I bought a belt online but the quality was so bad that I decided to returned to the shop. So I got an email saying that I have a voucher for less money than I spent and when I went to use it the lady at the shop couldn't find my voucher so I end up waiting another 2 weeks so by the time that they call me to go and get it I decided that the clothes were rubbish and I didn't want to expend more money there. Superbad service.
Dangerfield online has to be the worst online experience
Dangerfield online has to be the worst online ordering experience of my life! I bought 4 items on the 3rd of January and I got 2 of them confirmed and sent separately? Then my free mask that came with the order also came separately so 3 packages so far which was annoying… TWO weeks later I get an email with a credit saying one of my items isn’t available, why am I finding out TWO weeks later? THREE weeks later I get yet another email with a credit saying the item that I did the whole order for isn’t available now? THREE WEEKS LATER. After I’ve paid and been waiting! The customer service online isn’t helpful at all, they didn’t even respond to my last email with questions. I just tried calling them and I don’t know why I expected competency there but of course, no answer. I now have items that I can’t wear because they go with the main item that I find out THREE WEEKS LATER that I can’t have now. Why have it on the site to buy if they have to “source” all items, they’re selling things to people without even knowing they have the stock!? It’s such a stupid system.
I already wasn’t a fan because of their weird cuts to clothing, nothing fits correctly I noticed, I’m wide and things still gape in the back, where are they getting their measurements from?
This is the end of my purchasing from Dangerfield now. I can’t deal with the online customer service and the flawed online ordering system. Terrible.
Overpriced clothes and awful staff
Super overpriced for the quality of the clothes. Very unethical practices. In-store staff are rude, unprofessional and untrained and online staff are unresponsive, especially towards complaints. Repeatedly tried to get in contact with an area manager to make a serious complaint about staff with no responses.
I kind of regret buying from them.
I ordered from Dangerfield back in March 2021 and I had no issues with them. Ordered 3 shirts and got them all within a month (I'm in Canada) so when I wanted to spend some money on Boxing Day I ran to dangerfields website, picked out 5 items costing $200 total. Everything got refunded except one shirt. I emailed them over 24 hours ago and haven't heard a single thing.
They still have the items that were refunded listed for purchase on their website so I dont understand what's happening. This is ridiculous.
Disappointed
I recently ordered five dresses from Dangerfield NZ for the first time (presuming they would be shipped from their NZ stores), but after a week they shipped one dress from Australia and then cancelled the rest of my order after another week when they ‘couldn’t source the items’. There was no direct contact or apology, and three weeks later the one dress they shipped is still yet to arrive. I was refunded, but I’m very disappointed in the (clearly overwhelmed and/or non-existent) customer service. If the clothing is not available for online orders, why not take them down from your online store?
After 30 years as a customer, I’m done.
I’ve been shopping at Dangerfield since the 90’s. I used to buy my recycled denim from their tiny double store in Greville St, Prahran. If I had a party or rave to go to, Dangerfield was my go to for a new outfit for the past 30 years! I recently ordered 2 pairs of overalls online. I purchased a size too big so I returned them for exchange. Unfortunately my return got caught up with all of the Aust Post backlog and it took about a month to get back to them. I was excitedly waiting for my overalls to be exchanged but I was instead sent an email From Rhiannon telling me that because I hadn’t authorised for her to action the extra costs of posting the items back to me, it was just easier for her to credit me for the cost of the overalls and call it a day. Where is the customer service? Where was the notification that it was going to cost me money to have them shipped back? I would have been happy to pay if you had actually contacted me to let me know about this charge. I love good customer service and I’m pretty miffed that Dangerfield has decided that it’s not part of its ethos. Bummer because you guys used to be so rad.
