David Luke grew out of a small company that supplied childrenswear in the North West of England. A spark for inventiveness saw our founding partners David Burgess and Adrian Luke expand into the school uniform market where they have innovated some of the most iconic products our children now count as uniform essentials. Over the years, our business has demonstrated a progressive and highly respected reputation for innovation in sustainability. We were the first to develop recycled polyester yarn from plastic bottles which we used to make blazers. Making this switch has enabled us to prevent 34 million plastic bottles from going into landfill which we can verify through our SCS Accreditation and love to tell all our friends about. Our mission is not just to succeed in the school uniform market, we aim to lead it towards a more ethical future. One where materials are responsibly sourced, communities fairly treated and people care enough to make conscious decisions about how they purchase school uniform. We’re part of the Ethical Trading Initiative to make sure we do just that. Today we are one of the biggest school uniform brands in the UK. We are a champion of independent retail.

and high street stop at smaller sizes.
I would 100% recommend.
i will be buying his long trousers from this store also when he moves to senior school as they are a better quality overall.

Having ordered size 26”L a while back…
Having ordered size 26”L a while back from David Luke and being impressed with the trousers I decided to order again now my daughter has grown out these ones. I ordered 29”L this time and they drowned her. I measured the trousers and they were 32” with no adjusters this time. The length needed taking up a good inch.
I did check the size guide too!

Better fit
As I had placed an order from David Luke before, it was easy to make a new one. The trousers are a better fit my son than other companies and they wash up well.
Delivery time was exceptional too.

Charging for returns when the fit of the trousers for my son where absolutely awful with the cro tch half way down his thighs. Should give more detail on inside leg, thigh waist and hip measurements

My son is very tall so that’s how I…
My son is very tall so that’s how I came across David Luke. He is only a 30/31” waist so I purchased a 32” taking into account the ‘come up small’ comment in the description. When they arrived they were tiny. I had to return them and re-order the 34”. These are fine but are not the same style, I ordered the elasticated back. All in all ok. I think the return fee is unnecessary especially when exchanging an item.
