It's easy to see why these sites are not used a great deal. With it's constant pop up and block ads, followed by total lock up who the hell would subscribe.

The articles are unreadable as the they keep jumping and sticking, then the screen goes red

Can’t read a story as website crashes then reloads

Given up using the site.. the ads block all but approx 20% of the screen making it horrible to use.

Repeating the same stories .. causing distress to all concerned … making trolling an open forum which could have life changing impact on families especially children of the article… stories sensationalised and not totally factual … lives could be lost through this type of journalism… especially when mental health issues are at the forefront …

The site is pretty much unusable and unreadable due to the amount of intrusive advertising. One paragraph then a bit advert, also adverts that follow you down the page. A completely useless site and horrible experience for the reader. Don't bother.

Reporters that write biased reports about motorcyclists should be encouraged to ride a motorcycle…

E.g. report: “a motorcycle was involved in an accident with another vehicle”
Reality: “A car driver driving without due care and attention hit a motorcyclist”

Poorly written articles, rehashing the same old stories. There are only so many times you can rerun the same story before it becomes a waste of time and data for publishers and consumers alike.

The adverts are beyond frustration when using a mobile phone, and the whole site is full of click bait.

Trash, headache, badly written unless news paper, it is obsolete. Website is an advert nightmare, useless html layout, it is truly horrible.

Very poorly written and most stories have nothing to do with Devon. Either AI generated or very bad reporters.

Never seems to have the latest news. Often appears boring and non-newsworthy!

Yet another sensationalist headline about a non-story from Devon Lies today - a 6 year old could write better copy than these hacks.

Awful. Every time I read a story, it glitches and sends me back to the beginning.

Consistently Rubbish - minimal 'news' maximum adverts - often for products which are either no longer available or firms who have gone bust
No investigative journalism whatsoever.

Used to read it to laugh at how poor it was but I'm afraid I have even tired of that.
Travel and weather stories are particularly poor / misleading / long out of date

What rubbish, it wasn't news!!!

Far too many adverts flashing in and out whilst you are trying to read an article and you can easily lose an article thanks to some irrelevant advert smack in the middle of it. Too much like hard work.

Why send out news flash on traffic congestion 2 days after it's happened. Completely pointless!!

More adds less news. Get a grip this is dreadful !!!!
