When my dog Dottie was diagnosed with both Pancreatitis and Kidney Disease finding the right diet for for her was a real struggle. I then came across Different Dog and we haven't looked back. Dottie is now doing so well on their Low Purine & Phosphorus diet which excludes all the things that are bad for her and more of the things that are good for her. She also loves it - a real bonus.

I have my old dog back thanks to this incredible company and their product. My 12 yr old Frenchel was on the brink of arthiritis after two osteo-fractures and obesity. Our vet recommended this product and we tried it out following the feeding guidelines ( we had no idea we were overfeeding him for his weight). Two months in and four kilos lighter , he looks like a younger , healthier version of himself

I’ve been extremely impressed with both the customer service and the overall ease of using the website from Different Dog.
Everything feels straightforward, well thought out, and genuinely dog focused.
The variety of menu options is fantastic, and after spending a long time researching alternatives to my dog’s previous diet, I feel completely confident in the quality and nutrition they provide. Making the switch was a big decision for me, but I can honestly say I have no regrets at all.
The only downside for me is purely budget-related, as I’m currently feeding a mix rather than going 100% with Different Dog, but that’s no reflection on the product itself. I wish I could use it exclusively!
The most important issue is, Lola, my Japanese Spitz absolutely loves it and seems really happy and thriving. I think it’s a wonderful product and would highly recommend it to anyone considering a healthier, high-quality option for their dog.

Excellent quality food for my whippet. He has Inflammatory Bowel Disease do finding a diet that keeps his guts happy as well as his tastebuds is definitely a trial. Since adding Different Dog to his prescription diet his poo’s have been much better. He’s allergic to chicken and beef so fortunately there are alternative flavours he enjoys—turkey and pork. Hoping Different Dog adds in a duck recipe soon.

After months of eating issues with our…
After months of eating issues with our Jack, we found Different Dog and I am so glad we did. She absolutely loves it. Comes running when she hears me getting it ready. So much nicer to give than the raw she was having before and a much nicer smell! It literally smells good enough to eat! I heat hers in the microwave for 15 seconds and she devours it.

Finally found the right food for my dog
I tried for ages to find the perfect diet for my dog and believe I’ve now found it ! The relief I have in feeding my dog something that has proper natural ingredients that he enjoys and a good source of nourishment for him is just brilliant. But add on the fact that changing to Different Dog has completely stopped his runny eyes I’m amazed, I still wash his face once a week with a flannel but not for the same amount of time, no more grappling with with the crusty tear stains. Super happy with this brand and his eyes definitely look brighter to me.

Dishonest business
It forces you into a subscription. It fails to cancel when you try to... Food is terrible a mush with some chunks of carrot added.
I selected a very long window until the next delivery, today I see a charge of £50 and 10 packs on the way when I do not have any space in freezer.
Dishonest business. Do not recommend.

I will look into what happened here in detail. I completely agree with you that cancelling a subscription should be clear and straightforward. I would not ever want any of our customers to feel that they had been treated dishonestly. If there are lessons for us to learn here we will make sure we do so.

Wow I now know why its called Different Dog 🐕 Maisy is a different dog since eating this food She has more energy,her fur is so soft and she actually looks forward to her food. Its so nice that she wants to eat her food rather than sniff the bowl and walk away. Give it a try you wont be disappointed

Toy Poodle who now loves her food...
I have a young Toy Poodle and was struggling to find food she would eat (she would always start off OK and then stop eating when I tried other types of food). When we tried Different Dog, right from the first bowl Honey loved it! It's now been several weeks and Honey still loves her food. Excellent Experience, Excellent Food, Excellent Care
Working with Different Dog has been an excellent experience. When I first enquired they told me not to order until I had spoken to their resident nutritionist Bianca, she phoned me next day and guided me to what plan to put Charlie on.
The next step was receiving the food, well packaged, very quick, the box is even marked 'must be delivered today' to make sure the courier did not take it back to depot.
The food is excellent, Charlie loves it, he even barks for it when I am dishing it up, something he has never done in his 8 years of life.
I would highly recommend 'Different Dog'.

Found a sharp bone
Tried this food for around 4 months. Initially I was impressed by the variety of proteins, but in reality only a limited selection is actually available to order. Where’s the venison?
When transitioning to the turkey fricassee (very slowly over 2 weeks), my dog developed ongoing digestive issues that lasted about a month. She became extremely gassy (strong, foul-smelling), very gurgly, and was vomiting partially undigested food a couple of times per week. These issues were not present on her previous diet.
The main problem appears to be the high cabbage content (around 14% as stated online). Some of the chunks are very large, tough, and not suitable for small dogs. I now have to manually remove most of the cabbage from every meal, which defeats the purpose of using a ready-made food. She’s not vomiting anymore, but the gas is still there.
More concerning, I found a very sharp cooked bone in one of the meals. This is extremely dangerous and could have caused serious internal injury if missed.
Very disappointing overall, especially as this was my first choice brand. I could have overlooked the price and the cabbage, but the bone really left me scared. I could have given a star, but overall it was okay-sh before the bone incident. Dealing with the
cabbage was time-consuming, but I didn’t want to revert to kibble.

Wonderful company to deal with. The quality of the food is exceptional with no fillers or nasty ingredients. They genuinely care for the wellbeing of your dog. I like the fact the deliveries are so flexible. There is a dietician on hand to help support you in selecting the right food for your dog.
