It is such a poor service. The online portal is soooo buggy it is practically unusable, just spent nearly an hour trying to book a hotel then ended up doing it over that phone.

The worst user experience I have ever had

By far the most awful digital user experience I've had from a professional company in my life. There are so many things wrong with the website I could write a novel about it.

Clearly the people who work here aren't attentive, and don't understand the needs of their customers, or haven't even tested the website. It takes me hours and hours sometimes to get things booked. Things break. The website crashes. Form fields don't work. The UX is clunky, doesn't work on mobiles. It's just fantastically frustrating.

I absolutely deplore it.

£40 for a £19 breakfast

I have to use diversity travel as I book through my company. Even though the company are paying I do not want to rip them off.
I went to book a hotel room with breakfast. I could not believe the cost. The room without breakfast was £40 a day cheaper. I contacted the Hotel and their breakfasts are £19. I contacted diversity travel and they said it is agreed by our company to cover admin. No offer to look into it, no offer to try and get a better price just that's what we charge. £21 a day to click a box that says breakfast!!! A total rip off and so unfair to companies. I have booked without breakfast and I will pay the £19 a day for my breakfast.

What a nightmare

This is the most frustrating experience I have ever had trying to book a trip. The website freezes at random intervals; every time I select a plane ticket and I try to "Proceed" , it throws an error. I have contacted the support team and they simply tell me to re-start the process again. I've spent almost 2 hours trying to book a single trip with just flight and hotel, and having to re-start each time due to errors. What a nightmare

Useless

Until recently we had a contract with Key Travel, who were useless, but after a retendering we have one with Diversity. I’ve just been told that BA don’t have an economy plus fare (they do) and been quoted a fare for a flight at £162 in economy that is €95 in economy basic, €120 in economy plus, and €179 in business on BA website. How do these big travel agents get away with it?

Booking tickets to Japan as university (employee I have to use it), but many of flights available on SkyScanner or directly airline are not available or prices are more expensive...

Webpage is super slow and painfull wasting money and time

No urgent flight tickets available

I urgently need to book an airline ticket. Diversity Travel (where I am required to book by my employer) indicates that both one-way, return and 'day later' tickets are no longer available. Though there are still plenty of tickets for all these options available on Skyscanner/Trip etc.

The online booking system is a disaster. Even basic hotels don't show up (try searching 'Singapore', and you'll get "no results"). Their online booking platform is full of bugs. I couldn't even enter my personal details, and search results that appeared 5 mins earlier could just disappear. I called the online team and they said even they couldn't log into the system.

The offline team? It has been (as of today) taking them 11 days to book a hotel room, which is still not yet booked, and which I managed to book myself within 5 mins (just as a trial). The team can only manage to send max ONE email per day to provide updates, if you're lucky.

And the prices? Significantly higher than official websites. I had to do their work for them: compare prices and send screenshots to question the markup. Service is simply terrible.

If it weren't mandatory to use this agent, I would not go near it. Not in a million years.

Expensive and awful service

The prices offered by Diversity Travel are usually at least 100 EUR more expensive than the prices offered by the providers.
The service is appalling. They can never solve an issue through the chat - if you have a technical issue they cannot solve it and tell you to send an email to request an offline quotation (what year is this??). If you have a problem with the booking reference they provide (not recognized by the accommodation), they tell you to call because the person on the chat cannot call the accommodation.
They send you emails asking for details that their system didn't register (??) with random acronyms.
Avoid it at all costs. I only use it because it is mandatory but it is always a big headache.

Great customer service

Great customer service. Very quick to respond to queries or issues. The level of service provided by Danny is especially great. Highly recommend.

I needed to book complex flights/hotels…

I needed to book complex flights/hotels for two members of staff, one who was travelling with family members. Melissa quickly provided the information required and was very helpful and patient waiting for passport info to be sent through. She made the whole process stress free :)

Complicated made easy by phone

Needed to book slightly complicated flights for an external speaker; Diversity's online booking portal was significantly more expensive than direct with airlines because of the complexity. Called and spoke with Shanuj Mathur, who was incredibly patient, kind, and helpful and got me sorted out within budget.

Danny Hinchcliffe provided outstanding support today with some technical issues I faced using the Diversity Travel online system. He went out of his way to find answers to the problems I encountered.

not much to offer

this company appear to have an extensive captive market (UK university travel planning) but delivery of services is lacking. no response to email, no one on the phone, no follow up etc.

A happy customer

I was booking for a business trip but got stuck on the website so I opted to call the company and was referred to Mr Ammar Baig. Ammar was very friendly and helpful and totally understood what I would need and provided me with very competitive options for flight and hotel very swiftly. Now it's all set and I'm looking forward to my trip next year.
