Exceptional Personal Service

Unbelievable service. Because of a shipping issue with the carrier, they found what I needed in another inventory location and delivered it to my hotel the NEXT DAY as I had left my house for a wedding. They had already helped me with an UK delivery purchased from the US, but gave extra effort to solve the issues the same day that my order didn't arrive. They did not cause the issue but they took it upon themselves to solve it. Does your current clothier do that?
Everyone I dealt with was PERSONABLE,, KNOWLEDGEABLE, and POLITE. Will recommend and use again.
Clothing is made well, durable, accurate color descriptions, and very stylish. All reasonably priced as well.

I was surprised how well the vest…

I was surprised how well the vest actually was for the price. The only down side was the extra duties and tariff's charged after the purchase making my 30$ vest 100$, but that isn't the fault of the company.

Order was more expensive than I thought

I got my order, but not before I was told pay an extra $64 to UPS on top of what I had already paid for delivery. I'm not sure whether this is was a "tarrif" thing, but if it was, I could have been told this when placing my order. So what I though was a great deal on the coat was no deal at all. Upon trying the coat, I saw the sleeves are too long. Yet another expense for tailoring. It took everything out of my order experience.

I can confirm this was indeed in relation to your localised tariffs when purchasing from overseas.

At checkout I can see you have ticked the box which states we ship from UK and goods are manufactured all over. The place order button will not work until you have checked this box.

Based on your feedback though, I have started to reach out further to all customers before we ship anything as we want full transparency here as we are not making anything from this and these fee's have been put in place & controlled by US goverment.

Look elsewhere, go name brand

The purchasing process was fine and all and there was a representative that helped answer my questions. However, the exact fit of the tix could be better. I ended up having to get it tailored which cost me over $600 dollars because of the amount of work that would need to be done. One part in particular were the sleeves as they were too long and the buttons on the cuff were sewn into the interior lining, making it more work to get hemmed. Overall I am a bit disappointed in the product and would have rather paid for a recognizable name for what I have paid now.

A few things we have already done to help,

We have the message at checkout which states we ship goods from UK, which are manufactured all over, this is a tick box which you can't place an order without ticking.

Sorry if you have missed this, we will amend it into bold.

I also reached out to you before we shipped with full transparency, this gives customers who have not read the tick box statement an additional point of contact to cancel the order before it's shipped, imported and to late.

They have not been delivered because the receiver has refused the Import fee's against this US import.

I have looked into this and I can see 2 issues which I belive you are already discussing with the team.

Firstly, we have checked with our payment provider about the lag in payment, which lead to your order being cancelled as funds had not been authorised. They have advised that there looks to have been a 2hr lag between when you checked out on our website to when you finalised the purchase in your chosen payment provider.

Unfortunately we only reserve stock in baskets and in "pending payment" for 2hrs as we need this reserved stock to sell elsewhere, this is why your order was cancelled and we never shipped anything.

Secondly, the first time you reached out to us at info@dobell.co.uk, our Network provider flagged your email as "Spam", therefore quarantined the email and the team in customer service never received it.

I apologize your order journey has not been as expected and hopefully the above details how this has come about.

Where's my stuff??

So far, this order has not been deliivered. The shipping folks claim it was delivered. In Washington, D.C. I live in Iowa. Not only did I spend a great deal of money on two suits, but also paid additional tariff fees for them. I would rather have the garments I ordered.

Decent quality suit with speedy…

Decent quality suit with speedy shipping. Relatively expensive for what you're getting, not much different quality wise than what you would expect in a drop shipped off the rack suit. Customer service lackluster, sent 3 separate emails with no response after my first order was canceled despite replying to the follow up email. Don't set the bar too high with Dobell.

Poor experience

Do not order if you are shipping to the US. Dobell does not clearly disclose tariff costs on the order form, even when shipping costs are listed at $0. I ordered right around the time tariffs were implemented and had no idea this would be an issue because of the $0 shipping. Support will tell you it is not their responsibility and will send you to their fine print. I was handed a $93 bill from UPS and they won’t do anything about it. I understand this is our government’s doing, but to claim zero responsibility and send a customer to their fine print is extraordinarily deceitful. Very poor experience.

Aside from the shipping issues, sizing was WAY off. We ordered standard suit sizing (yes, measured and paid attention to the size conversion chart) and the suits we ordered were comically unfitting.

We are indeed a UK-based company which ship domestically and internationally.

This is the reason why at checkout there is the statment "Products are sourced globally and shipped from UK. Orders will be subject to localized duties and taxes based on country of manufacture upon arrival in US".

Just like the T&C's box this needs to be ticked for the place order button to be active.

In addition to the above, I am sorry to also see the garments didn't fit correct.

I apolagise your experience with us was not what you expected.
