I bought three of their travel guides. They are excellent not only do they describe in details a large number of the best things to see and do. They also describe how best to book. Another feature I find very useful is the detailed explanation of practical things like how to download and install payment app, apps for hotels trains and more.

This is an excellent guide . Bought a Shanghai guide to start with but will buy the others at a later stage . It’s comprehensive , extremely well thought out with guides to transport , money , apps , eateries n so much more . On fb one get a lot of conflicting information fr others but with this guide one can simply cut out unnecessary info n concentrate on getting it right . TQ Hansong Li

I have got 4 free Chinese guides from Mr Hansong Li and a bonus guide which was for Chongqing. I was so impressed with the minute details in these guides that I decided to purchase the Zhangjiajie guide. He is extremely helpful and will go out of his way to answer any questions that you have. If you are hoping to visit China I suggest you purchase his guides, you will not regret it.

I purchased the Beijing guide after taking a look at it for free and decided it was very much worth it! I love that it's very thorough and detailed, providing not only suggestions on which attractions to visit, but also links for online booking for tickets and even restaurant recommendations near each attraction in the city. If you are going to GZ on your own, their guide is really useful based on your own timing and requirements. The guide is more than just places to go, it has the history and information of that point of interest.

Best guide books I have found for China trip
I am so happy I found the Dolphinunion guidebooks. They provide a fantastic sense of being 'led by the hand,' as they explain everything step by step, including screenshots. They cover both pre-travel preparations and hotel bookings, as well as sightseeing routes once you arrive, well thought through and with options depending on how much time you have.
The guides offer a detailed route with all the addresses provided in both English and Chinese, along with public transport options and estimated travel times. Each location is conveniently linked to AMAP maps inside the guide, and there are recommendations for places to eat nearby. The hotel recommendations are spot on. In fact, I was so impressed that I changed some of my earlier bookings to the hotels suggested in the guide, as they were in better locations and offered better value. Overall, during the months I spent preparing for my independent “DIY” trip to China, I haven't found a better guidebook. Money well spent!
