I sent a bundle of motorcycle parts, some of which were well past their best, being almost 50 years old. I am delighted at the quality of the returned items, simply beyond expectations.

Fantastic job. Not a huge job, just 6 machine handles, but very well done. I think they are better now that they were new in 1950!

The work carried out on the chrome parts of my Daimler DE36 was excellent. The quality and finish was beyond my expectations and all at a very reasonable cost compared to many of their competitors.

I sent DMF two very tired 40 year old deck cleats - I didn't want new because I didn't want any more holes in the deck. What came back made me say "Wow!" out loud when I opened the very well packed box. My family wanted to know if I was sure they were mine. Great work by the team, a bit later than estimated but the quality of finish is what mattered most to me.

Doug Taylor and co did a fantastic job, silver plating our old candlesticks and a sugar bowl. The result was fantastic, looking immaculate whilst maintaining an authenticity. We are so thrilled with the result we can’t thank the team enough.

Excellent work re-chroming parts from my 1970s Norton motorcycle. The footrest brackets and footbrake lever were all in very poor condition with lots of missing chrome and heavy rust after years of barn storage. The parts are now like new, at much less cost than the available replacements. Many thanks to Paul, Bishop and Shelley for great service.

I took my 50 year old bumper from my Celica GT 2000 to Douglas Metal Finishing's in Dartford to have it re-chromed. It's come back and is back on my car and I have to say it is spectacular! It is flawless, spotless and looks totally amazing! I have to thank all the guys there but especially Bishop who was always on the end of the phone and has done a spectacular job!

I live in Holland and I owe a Cadillac Coupe de Ville 1956.
I had everything re-chromed.
There were two parts that no company in Holland could re-chrome because these parts were made of samac and were in very poor condition.
I sent them to Douglas Metal Finishing and they did the perfect job!
The parts look brand new and I very happy with the result. It's better than I could have imagined, thank you so much.

I couldn’t be more pleased with the results after using Douglas Metal Finishing to plate our new shower.

During our bathroom renovation we were struggling to find a shower in the right finish (polished nickel) to match our other taps as this finish had been discontinued by the manufacturer. I was recommended Douglas Metal Finishing to replate the shower, and the result is absolutely perfect! The finish is identical to our other taps, you really can’t tell them apart, which was way beyond my expectations!

As the polished nickel finish is generally more expensive than chrome from most bathroom suppliers, it worked out about the same cost, slightly less, buying a chrome shower and having this plated.

I had several lots of classic yacht parts to be chromed, from heavy bollards to small hinges, large cowl vents to cabin hooks. A marine specialist warned me off doing the cowl vents, but DMF took them on with absolutely spectacular results. We had a slight miscommunication over some parts, and DMF sorted the problem got the parts to me on time. I could not recommend anyone more. Quality of work, dedication to the job and excellent service.
