Easylife misery

My experience of Easylife is shocking. I ordered a product from them. It arrived successfully. I subsequently received a phone call from them asking me to become a member of their Motor Club. I told them I did not wish to join. 3 days later they debited £1.99 for no obvious reason. I asked the bank to block Easylife from my card. A fortnight later they sent me a £10 petrol voucher and knowing that the cooling off period had expired, they included documentation with a Motor Club membership number. I emailed to cancel, but despite acknowledging this, Easylife took £59.99 from my account. Despite the bank blocking my debit card, they were able to take this money using another Easylife trading name.
I would warn anybody against ordering from this company and experiencing the stress and financial loss they inflict.

BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE - Easy Life operate an illegal scam whereby if you buy online from them you can (unwittingly) become a member of their so-called Easy Life Motor Club with an annual charge of £59.90 for what I do not know. THIS IS AN ILLEGAL SCAM - it must be stopped.

Absolute scam, avoid or else.....

Chances are that if you are reading this, you've been let down by easylife. If so, my best advice is to bite the bullet and cancel your card immediately. The number to call will be on the back of your card.

Never use the word "Yes" in any conversation, email, text or any other form of communication. They will use that word to justify scamming you for their clubs or subscriptions. Trust Pilot and other review sites are littered with complaints about being scammed for clubs that people didn't want but by then, it's too late. Check your account and you will see your account has been ransacked.

Easylife is a scam company, preying on the elderly and hoping you did not notice the charges on your card. Yes, occasionally you get a response from them and they say the same nonsense about being given explicit permission from their victims. If that is true, how come so many people claim they knew nothing about it? You read reviews of how people who don't drive have been conned for a motor club subscription, or puzzlebook membership when you thought the magazine was a free gift.

Take my advice and cancel your card and forget about Easylife. It's a matter of days before this really hits the news. There are literally hundreds of victims who have been scammed, maybe even thousands. They should be fined heavily for their scamming of the elderly and infirm and then shut down and the officer of the company should be barred from ever being a director again.

Avoid this company at all costs

My Aunt ordered a shoebox which arrived on time and she was please with it.
HOWEVER... She was then called by them & offered a Motoring Club membership. At 86 years old she didn't want this and thought she had told them so. She then received a letter to welcome her to the Club. I rang them and requested that it was cancelled..well within the trial period.They said that they had removed her card details and my Aunt was happy with this.
She has now received a subsequent letter..8 days after the trial period had ended to say that the money would be taken from her bank. She checked and it had already been taken. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and I will be taking this further in the hope that others won't fall into the same trap.
Easylife: Please don't insult me by sending an automated response to my complaint.

Beware of scammers false sales

Beware of scammers and aggressive sales people. Not sure if it was the website or a seller using the website using their name, but after my Nan bought an item from easylife, around two weeks later she received a call from Easylife asking to promote them, after she refused several times, they got more and more aggressive until she had to hang up upset. The next month when she received her bank statement, easylife had charged her multiple times, almost £70, for items she did not buy.

Shocking

Shocking. My elderly mother sent a cheque off for two items over a month ago and nothing received. My mother is not online so has no order ref. She is very upset and feels completely ripped off. Please help her get a refund or at least deliver the items she had paid for.

how to avoid spurious claims

hello, well this is what happened. A catalogue appeared with a magazine and lookngthrough it I spotted and ad for Hyaluronic Acid(buy 25 ml get 25 l free. This not what got my attention it was the wording above and I quote "SAY GOODBYE TO WRI NKLES IN 7 DAYS"The product is name Bella Brighton Hyaluronic Acid and costs £12.99plus postage so you can see it is not cheap. Hoever there is no way for wrinkles to disappear in 7 days and subsequent complaint to the Advertising Authority brough surprising news that EASYLIFE has already been under investigation for the very same thing and will be under investigation again. My adbice isavoid this company like the plague, as reading the other complaints they have a shocking record of grabbing money and dismissing everyone's co nsumer rights. You can also make a com plaint to the Min ister forTrade and Industry and give him all the information you have, He is an extremely nkice minister who deat with me veyr kiindly.Enugh of you complaiing to this governmentr departmentwill be sufficuent for thinhs to be taken seriously. best wishes

You have to pay to return leaking goods

Goods received: at least one bottle of cleaning product had leaked, coating everything in that bag in a white powder/crystals. I phoned Customer Services: they offered to collect the parcel but would charge me £5. I refused to pay for their faulty packaging; they refused to help any further. They were completely uninterested in providing any semblance of customer service.

No Trust In This Company.

This company, Easylife, is NOT to be trusted with your details. Money will be taken from your account which you have not authorised. They took me for £59.99 to join their `Motor Club` I am in the process of reporting them to Action Fraud and my bank.

Trading Standards need to look at this Company

The company sent me a rewards club card, which I received almost two weeks after the end of the trial period.
I called the company to cancel, and eventually got through to Mari, who said she would cancel my account. I asked if money had been taken from my account, she said I should check my bank statement and call back if I noticed they had taken money from me, when I said she could tell from the screen I was suddenly put onto hold. Then next thing I knew, after an interminable wait I was talking to Danielle in customer Services. After I explained my problem she offered to give me the number for cancellations! Not helping me complain. You can’t complain to Customer Service about anyone unless they work in the same building!

I don't even want to give 1 star. My Old dad placed a telephone order with this company, eventually after 6weeks of trying contact this company to find out where the order is, it arrived, no issues with the order However they then enrolled him (without his knowledge or consent) to a Travel Membership taking nearly £66.00 out of my 80 yr old fathers account without consent and trying to contact them to sort this issue is extremely difficult, I understand the world is in a difficult place at the moment but not so difficult that they can't pick up a phone and take the order!! The issue has not been dealt with and I am absolutely furious that they would take money with out consent from and elderly person, who doesn't even own a passport and has no desire at all to be enrolled in a travel membership!!

Easylife are not to be trusted

I cannot recommend this company for anyone to use. I made a purchase of 4 items in April with a delivery date of the end of the April. In May when I phoned them I was told they did not part-ship as two items on the order were not due until July. However come July I received one item from the order, which to me s a part-shipment meaning they tell lies. They did take payment for all items on the order. Repeated telephone calls were not answered, I emailed them from their website, I tried different departments all to no avail. I then received an email from Easylife to state they could not get the money from my account. They had no problem in July. I was invited to call their office, but again it was not answered. The missing products eventually arrive and they had taken money from my account. I then wrote to their head office but have not received a reply nor even an acknowledgement. This goes along with various phone calls in the past inviting me to join another of their money making activities, all of which I have declined. They are a bad company who take money without supplying goods, then take money a second time. They fail to respond to enquiries. I am surprised they are still in business. I believe that no one should buy from them as I notice they claim to have a "great" rating on Trust Pilot which is not true.

Beware of follow up phone calls

Beware . Although goods came quickly I received a follow up call offering me a £10 petrol voucher and when I queried it found the voucher could only be used towards a car service. They then wanted to ask me for more information about myself in other words more SELLING. I would have been happy with the goods received but HATE companies phoning afterwards

I received an offer from easy life

I received an offer from easy life, having previously purchased item online from this company. After receiving goods i was invited to sign up to their travel/leisure club. I declined the offer and within the stipulated time period, cancelled by phone and emails. On checking my credit card account, i saw that £17,90 had been debited to my account re aforementioned club, i have made numerous telephone calls and emails concerning this matter in an effort to retrieve said money. Easylife has not responed in anyway whatsoever. I am in the process of taking further action against this company, regarding what is basically "theft", I urge readers to avoid this company for future purchases

Finally got my mothers order some weeks…

Finally got my mothers order some weeks after waiting and long phone calls , but my reason for this review is to warn you that....(a) on the catalogs it says deliveries are as usual during covid,,,,they are not they are slow !!and (b) on the catalog cover it says it has 4 and a half star rating from trustpilot ...3 stars out i`m afraid , don`t be fooled

Useless company - don’t bother

I have returned some goods to them on the 27 Aug to the value of £44.96, but despite numerous chaser, phone calls I gave up on and several messages, they have never replied and I am still waiting for my refund! One of the worse companies I have dealt with - but never again. Can’t be bothered to answer their phones - just disconnect you - because they are too busy, what a joke!
