Arranged a rental car through them months in advance, provided flight number I was arriving on and because the flight arrived late, their agent, Street Rent A Car in Costa Rica) had rented the car to someone else. When I complained to Economy Car Rentals and said ‘you were given the flight number so knew it was running late, they responded with, and I quote ‘ The flight number you provide during your booking is not used by the station to adjust the rental times, as those times are fixed and can not be changed after the booking is confirmed.
The flight number is used in order for the employee at the rental desk to check if there are small flight delays or if the plane arrived in order to prepare the paperwork. In your case this change would not only be for a couple of minutes.’
So providing this detail has no benefit.
Not only was I left without a rental, Economy Car Rental have taken £246 of my money and refuse to refund.
I would whole heartedly advise you not to use this unscrupulous organisation.

"Assicurazione" (in realtà trattasi di mero sovraprezzo) aggiuntiva, precedentemente non proposta e non descritta, estorta sul momento della consegna con minaccia di problemi alla riconsegna.
Pagamento in contanti del pieno alla consegna, pagato il doppio del reale prezzo del carburante con trucchetto del cambio valuta.
Auto buona ma distante anni luce dai modelli citati in prenotazione.
Dipendente scorbutico, minaccioso e truffaldino.
Alla riconsegna non restituiscono la cauzione e pretendono il pagamento immediato in contanti di eventuali chilometri extra.
Dopo accesa discussione il dipendente parte all'improvviso con il bagagliaio aperto e i nostri bagagli ancora in auto.
Il mio compagno di viaggio che salta al volo dentro l'auto in corsa viene minacciato di morte.
Provvederemo a sporgere denuncia.
Autonoleggio da evitare come la peste, c'è da chiedersi com'è possibile che questi truffatori possano continuare ad esercitare.

ОСТОРОЖНО! Мой опыт с EconomyCarRentals и U-SAVE — мошенническая схема.

Я забронировал автомобиль Toyota C-HR через сайт EconomyCarRentals, внес аванс 80 €, а остальную сумму должен был оплатить на месте при получении авто.

Когда я приехал в офис местного прокатчика, которым оказалась компания U-SAVE, мне объяснили, что мой аванс не имеет отношения к аренде автомобиля. По их словам, это якобы «страховка», которую EconomyCarRentals принимает на свои реквизиты — но эта “страховка” не действует у U-SAVE, и мне снова предложили оплатить страховку у них.

Уже тогда возникли подозрения.

Но дальше — еще хуже.
U-SAVE отказались выдавать автомобиль, заявив, что у меня «не те водительские права». Я предложил оформить на жену — ей тоже отказали без объяснений.

Только после этого стало очевидно: EconomyCarRentals и U-SAVE действуют вместе и выстраивают схему по выманиванию авансов, которые потом не возвращают.

Я многократно обращался в EconomyCarRentals с требованием вернуть 80 €, но получил ответ:
«Мы не возвращаем авансы».

Вывод:
👉 Обходите и EconomyCarRentals, и U-SAVE стороной.
👉 Это типичная схема, где аванс платится не прокату, а «посреднику», а на месте придумывают причину отказа, чтобы оставить деньги себе.

First off, they do not state or make clear that they are only a third party. They have NO contact number or address listed when you want to enquire about being charged more than R2000 more than their quote. I looked at the trust pilot ratings on their site and it is excellent. So I assumed we're good. Only afterwards when I investigated, it seems that there are only good ratings on the site and none of the ample amount of bad ones. So false advertising, which is sueable. I then checked on Hello Peter and their average rating is 2.6, with 67 ratings on 1 star. and only 5 ratings on 5 stars So, it seems that I can also not trust, Trust Pilot. Or is companies allowed to only show good ratings and delete bad ones. I also noticed that on Trust Pilot the same company has 2 ways of rating them. One on EconomyCarRentals.com and one on economycarrentals.it. One is excellent 4.3, the other 1.8. Which one to choose? Seems to me like a lot of deception

Az oldalon foglaltam szicíliai reptérre egy olasz kölcsönzőnél. Az előre bekért 87€ összeget figyelembe sem vették ott. Nulláról indult az ajánlat. Azzal próbáltak nyugtatni, hogy majd visszatérítik. De láttam a szemében , hogy nem komoly.
Írtam az economycarrentsnak. Nem válaszolnak. Buktam a 87€-t es drágábban kaptam autót, mint foglaltam. Csalók.

This broker accused me from "no show" in Adana airport with windy cars company while I was well on time. Then partners of booking BV try to steal 990€ from my credit card. I trusted them as broker. Luckily the camera in windy car office recorded everything. I hand it over to a Dutch prosecutor general.

 Reservamos un coche para un viaje por Sicilia nuestra sorpresa fue que después de haber pagado la entrada y concretado. El precio cuando llegamos a recoger el coche nos piden 1200 € más para contratar para bloquear en la tarjeta y encima casi 400 por contratar un seguro aparte del que había estipulado con económica un Rental, la atención fue pésima, pero una vez ahí, lejos del aeropuerto del elaeropuerto de Palermo no te queda otra que coger el coche miramos hicimos fotos del coche de cómo estaba y salimos a pasar nuestros seis días de vacaciones a la vuelta nuestra sorpresa fue que aparte de mirar el coche como lo habíamos mirado antes nos pusieron un espejo por debajo del coche y nos dijeron que había unas marcas que antes no estaban por debajo del coche y les dijimos que no estábamos conforme y que que nada y de ahí nos fuimos pensando que estaba todo solucionado. La sorpresa fue que al cabo de un tiempo nos llega una retención en la tarjeta de prácticamente 400 €

Innanzi tutto si sono fatti pagare il lavaggio auto a fi e noleggio che le altre società che ho usato non hanno mai chiesto. Volevano un supplemento per aprire prima la mattina della partenza. La cosa peggiore è stata però al controllo finale dove hanno riscontrato dei graffi che mi sono stati mostrati all'inizio ma io non ho fotografato. Non userò mai più questa società per la opaca gestione del contratto ( viene inviato via mail così non si possono confrontare i danni precedenti) e per la tendenza a lucrare su ogni cosa

NO RESERVEN POR AQUÍ. VAYAN DIRECTO CON LA RENTADORA.

Alquilé un auto en Italia a través de EconomyCarRentals y tuve un problema con la reserva. Cuando llamé para buscar una solución, la atención fue pésima. La chica que me atendió, Stephanie, claramente solo quería sacarse el problema de encima. No me ayudó en absoluto y se limitó a echarle toda la culpa a la rentadora local, lavándose completamente las manos.

En vez de ayudarme como intermediarios, que es el rol que supuestamente cumplen, se desentendieron del problema. Una total falta de profesionalismo y compromiso con el cliente.

Eviten esta página. Vayan directo con la rentadora y se ahorran dolores de cabeza.

I was trying to rent a car through their platform at the airport after my original provider failed to collect me. It was late at night, and I was with my wife and young son—not exactly the best time to focus on fine details. I rushed through the booking on their website and, without meaning to, added the extra protection.

They have access to my booking history going back six or seven years and can clearly see I have never once purchased additional protection. I have no need for it—my bank already provides full coverage for rental car accidents. This was plainly a mistake.

The booking was for 00:05 the following day, and I placed it about 20 minutes before that. When the new car rental provider arrived just after midnight, I realised I had unintentionally selected the protection add-on. This was before I signed anything with the rental company—the agreement wasn’t completed until 00:58. I immediately tried to cancel the protection through EconomyCarRentals’ website, but the cancellation option was disabled. I phoned their support line and was advised to email, which I did—again, before signing any documents with the rental provider.

Their customer service then replied, saying there was nothing they could do: the cancellation, they claimed, had to be made before the rental began. Despite my explanation that this was a clear error, and that I had contacted them by phone and email before the contract was signed, they stopped replying altogether.

It is deeply irresponsible to profit from mistakes made by loyal customers. It is equally troubling to avoid resolving an issue by simply blaming the customer and refusing further engagement.

I had been a loyal customer for seven or eight years. But this experience made it painfully clear: no matter how loyal you are, they will do nothing for you if it involves giving money back.

mancata consegna dell'auto in quanto la patente di guida scadeva la settimana successiva alla restituzione dellauto.

I booked a car through their website for Catania airport location.
I paid an amount of aprox 90 EUR to them and I was supposed to pay only an additional 17 EUR at location before getting my car.
When I got there, I found out that the amount already paid didn't count for anything (even if they claim that it's a voucher without which you would have a higher price). So I had to pay everything from zero.
When asking to be reimbursed with the amount of 90 EUR, Economycarrental said that because their voucher was mentioned on the final contract, there is no reimbursement possible.
I was with a friend who rented from the same place on-site, without paying anything to Economycarrental - he got the same price as I.
So paying to this website will be only to get you to the renting company's desk - DON NOT PAY TO Economycarrental! Just look up a name of the renting company from there and go directly from them. This was you will avoid this scamming company!

Assicurazione completa ma di fatto NON c è niente incluso a meno che tu non faccia un incidente o ti rubino l’auto.

Al momento della prenotazione in questo comparatore di autonoleggi, sembra in maniera palese che sia incluso nel prezzo anche l’assicurazione totale.

Peccato che se ti succede a qualcosa come a noi, ti dicono che l’assicurazione in realtà ce l’hai con la compagnia di autonoleggio che hai selezionato. Quest’ultima, non ha voluto rimborsarci nonostante ne avessimo diritto, e Economy car Rentals non ci ha minimamente aiutato a risolvere la situazione.

Pessima attenzione al cliente e altrettanto pessimi fornitori.

Non fatevi ingannare come noi!

Usato il servizio nell'Agosto 2022. Acconto preso e trattenuto senza che abbia effettivamente avuto il noleggio dell'auto. Dopo settimane di scambi di mail posso affermare: nessuna spiegazione precedente, nessun rimborso, nessun compromesso, nessuna attenzione al cliente!. 3 carte di debito non accettate, neanche con il supplemento da pagare in loco come scritto nel regolamento! L'interesse qui è solo prelevare piu soldi possibile senza alcuna forma di attenzione alla clientela. State attenti!!

CI HO RIMESSO 650 EURO!!!? pare di sì, ma ancora non ho ricevuto neanche i 350 euro per la rottura del parabrezza... 350!!! ed è passato un mese! altro che copertura totale!!!

Unser Vertrag lautete: Mietbeginn 27.Mai 2022 11.00 bis 4. Juni 2022 11:00. Ich musste beim Buchen die Flugnummer angeben. Unser Flug landete um 14:30 und so waren wir ca. um 15:00 am Schalter bei Viaggiare. Dort sagte man uns, man habe das Auto weiter gegeben, da wir nicht um 11:00 da waren. Da ich eine Anzahlung über 178€ gemacht habe, gehe ich davon aus, dass das Auto bereit steht bis wir eintreffen - schliesslich musste ich ja die Flugnummer angeben.

Dann fragten wir für ein anderes Auto. Ja sie hätten eines, nun müssten wir die Restzahlung und die Kaution mit der Karte bezahlen. Ich gab meine Karte, da mein Mann keine hat. Das ginge nicht, die Bezahlung müsse über die Person erfolgen, welche als Fahrer eingetragen ist. Komisch ist jedoch, dass es bei der Anzahlung keine Rolle spielte.

Dann sagte man uns, wir sollen uns mit dem Broker (EconomyCarRentals) in Verbindung setzen und den Fahrer tauschen. Aber wir konnten keine Kontaktdaten finden. Im Login Bereich konnte ich auch nichts machen und die Frau am Schalter wollte uns auch nicht helfen - sie müsste ja zumindest Kontaktdaten haben.

Wir haben bei der Theke noch ein laminiertes Blatt gesehen, wo geschrieben stand, dass wenn man das Auto schmutzig abgibt, einem dafür Kosten berechnet werden. Das Blatt war so gut versteckt, dass wir es nur durch Zufall gesehen haben.

Am Schalter nebenan wollte man dem Kunden noch diverse Zusatzversicherungen verkaufen obwohl er gesagt hat, er habe bereits die beste Option gewählt.

Also hier geht es nur darum, den Kunden so viel Geld wie möglich abzunehmen. Unser Auto wurde wahrscheinlich gerne zu einem viel höheren Preis weiter vermietet als wir hätten bezahlen müssen.

Wir haben den Rechtsweg eingeleitet, damit wir wenigstens die Anzahlung wieder zurück bekommen.

Ich bin 58 Jahre alt und schon viel in der Welt herumgekommen, aber so etwas habe ich noch nie in keinem Land erlebt.

Darum rate ich jedem ab, mit dieser Autovermietung einen Vertrag einzugehen!
