The experience was real world applicable with examples that have actually happened and what and how can a student resolve challenges in future. Overall an excellent experience, the professors were excellent and helpful and the customer care especially Maria was very helpful and interactive! Keep up the excellent work team! Love it and will look at doing more courses with you!

The curriculum was easy to understand and presented in a way that was relatable to my every day work. The only issue I had was that the accents of some of the instructors was hard to understand so I had to reply on the words printed on the video to get the full context, hence for 4 stars rather than 5.

Completing the Real Estate Investing 360 certificate through eCornell was a transformative milestone in my professional journey. As someone transitioning deeper into real estate development and investment, the program provided structure, clarity, and confidence in analyzing opportunities, from underwriting detailed cash flow projections to evaluating capital stacks and exit strategies.

What stood out most was how practical and applicable the coursework was. Each module reinforced how disciplined investors assess risk, return, and long-term value creation in real-world scenarios. It challenged me to think more strategically and approach deals with greater analytical rigor.

This program strengthened not only my technical skills, but also my confidence in making informed investment decisions. I would highly recommend it to anyone serious about building a strong foundation in real estate investing.

I have 4 published novels, but I took this course because I was hitting a dry spell and wanting to write in a new genre. The complete course helped guide e me in my new direction, gave me positive feedback and peer group encouragement. I loved it all. There are fantastic sessions on Zoom, where you can chat with your entire class and the instructors. I appreciated the detailed feedback on my assignments, and the fact that I had such an easy time with the technical end of the course. I'm not a huge techno person, so because the class was easy to navigate and assignments were a simple task to submit, I was able to commit to the 6 course class and enjoy myself. Plus, the price was reasonable.

I found the eCornell Engineering Leadership Certificate Program to be a perfect complement to my own personal growth and development. I need to be vulnerable here for a moment to understand my experience. I have been working with a therapist for the last 2 years to improve the quality of my life. I was doing a lot of trauma work, going back to my childhood. I saw improvements in my life through my hard work, seeing how my behaviours developed and why, accepting that my brain works how it works, and taking accountability for my behaviour. This work in therapy dovetailed nicely with the Cornell program.

I found the Cornell Engineering Leadership Program by researching empathic leadership courses using AI. AI recommended Cornell! lol. I then did my own due diligence, and Dr. Erica Dawson’s leadership, and her ability to criticize her own university publicly was ultimately what drew me in.

I viewed the Cornell Engineering Leadership Program as an extension of my therapy. I even joked with an instructor on a Live Session how this program could be renamed Therapy for Engineers, since it overlaps in many ways with trauma work.

I laugh thinking about the scene from the movie Office Space when Tom is asked what he actually does. He gets frustrated with the questioning and blurts out “Well-well look. I already told you: I deal with the god damn customers so the engineers don’t have to. I have people skills; I am good at dealing with people. Can’t you understand that? What the hell is wrong with you people?”.

While comedy, this captures my own experience working in tech for the last 24 years. Many engineers got into tech to stay away from dealing with people. Myself included.

Once you develop self-awareness, which is what the Cornell Engineering Leadership Program requires you to do, you see how these people skills are really about treating yourself with kindness and compassion, and extending that to other people.

Telling engineers that they can improve their career by using their group health insurance to seek counseling might get you some strange looks. Framing it as Engineering Leadership takes some of the stigma out of it.

I can’t really express how beneficial the eCornell Engineering Leadership Program has been to me. I find that the quality of my day to day life increased as I did the course work with the same deep self reflection I was doing in therapy.

I’m an individual contributor, so it’s counter intuitive how a leadership program could help me. I practice quiet leadership in my role. I don’t have a leadership position on the org chart, but leadership skills helped me be a better team mate, mentor, and a better person.

My experience is unique. I think engineers would improve their careers, and possibly their lives, if they give this program a real “college try”.

What stood out most was the balance between theory and application. The coursework consistently connected strategic frameworks to real-world decision-making, which made it immediately relevant to my role in delivery leadership. The modules on business relationships and digital platforms were particularly impactful in helping me think more holistically about ecosystem strategy and long-term value creation.

Overall, the program is well-designed for working professionals seeking to strengthen their strategic foundation in a structured and credible way.

The classes held just the right balance of challenging without being overly time consuming. I learned a lot and I am already looking to see what certification program I can enroll in next.
