Edureka is a complete scam. I signed up for one of their programs that was advertised as a collaboration with Illinois Tech and claimed to have instructors from the USA and other international institutions. That was a total lie. The course was taught by instructors in India who barely spoke understandable English. The material was poorly structured, and it became obvious from the very first session that this was not what was promised.

When I contacted them to request a refund, they blocked me from all communication channels—email, chat, and even phone. They simply stole my money and vanished. There was no way to reach them, no support, no accountability. This is not just bad service—this is fraud.

They use false advertising, fake affiliations, and manipulative sales tactics to trick people into paying for worthless courses. Once they have your money, you’re on your own. Don’t believe anything they say. They are liars, cheats, and scammers.

Edureka are nothing but cheats and liars who use deceptive marketing to lure people into buying useless courses. Please, do not fall for their scams like I did.

Avoid Edureka at all costs. Learn from my mistake.

I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Edureka has been so profoundly frustrating and ethically questionable that I feel compelled to share it. What began as an attempt to enroll in a course quickly escalated into a nightmare of unauthorized charges, delayed communication, and a battle for accountability.

In April 2024, I enrolled in an Edureka course. My initial agreement was to pay $350 in two parts, with the first $175 authorized over a phone call on April 8, 2024. Shockingly, Edureka then proceeded to charge my credit card two additional times for $350 each, on April 10, 2024, and April 18, 2024, respectively. These $700 in transactions were completely unauthorized, with no prior approval, email, or notification whatsoever.

The Uphill Battle for Resolution
I immediately began contacting their sales representative, Vishwa, and subsequently the finance team. My initial outreach on April 18, 2024, was met with vague and unhelpful responses. It took until May 9, 2024, for Ben Whitman, the Head of Finance, to acknowledge the error via email. He apologized for the inconvenience and promised action "within 24 hours," including a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and compensation.

Despite this acknowledgment, follow-up communication from Edureka remained painfully slow and inconsistent. I sent follow-up emails on May 9, 2024, and May 13, 2024, reiterating my demands for a refund, an explanation, and confirmation of a timeline. On May 15, 2024, Ben finally responded, confirming that my $700 unauthorized charge refund had been processed and should hit my account by May 21, 2024, or sooner. While the $700 unauthorized charge refund was eventually confirmed as processed around May 20, 2024, the battle for full resolution continued.

Unfulfilled Promises and Lingering Concerns
My subsequent emails on May 16, 2024, and May 26, 2024, pressed for compensation for my own inconvenience and the promised RCA report. As of May 30, 2024, Edureka has yet to confirm my compensation. The promised RCA report detailing the cause of these unauthorized charges has also not been delivered.

This experience highlights severe issues with Edureka's billing practices and customer service responsiveness. Recovering my $700 in unauthorized charges required persistent follow-up and felt like an uphill battle. The ongoing lack of accountability for my compensation and the absence of a root cause analysis are deeply concerning.

Key Lessons for Anyone Considering Edureka:
Scrutinize Your Card Activity Immediately: Edureka charged me without informing me or seeking consent.
Insist on Written Confirmations for Everything: Do not rely on verbal promises, especially regarding billing.
Be Prepared for Slow and Unresponsive Communication: Resolution only came through relentless follow-up.
My personal experience has been extremely frustrating, and I regret my decision to engage with Edureka. I want to caution others to be extremely vigilant when dealing with this company.

I had enrolled for AWS Cloud Solutions Architect, DevOps offered by Edureka through their online platform, and it was an excellent experience especially as a beginner. The course was structured well, covering both theory, practical knowledge and with hands-on projects that helped me build a solid foundation for the certifications.

Registered for the GenAI course. The course content was terrible. Contacted same day for for a refund. Refund was refused. Two months later I am still being billed. Ask to stop being billed and again got rebuffed. This site is a scam.

I joined Edureka with high hopes, trusting in their promises of a smooth and professional learning experience tailored for working professionals. Unfortunately, the reality has been deeply frustrating and disappointing.

It’s been over three months since I reported an issue with their mobile application — a critical tool for someone like me who depends on flexibility. To date, the issue remains unresolved, and the support team has been completely unresponsive. Multiple follow-ups have led nowhere.

What’s worse, the same team that was constantly in touch during the joining process now simply tells me to "report to the support team" — the same team that doesn't respond. I even called their support number (89517 55400) and waited for 19 minutes with no answer.

As a full-time working professional, my weekends and mornings are precious. I enrolled in this course to learn efficiently, not to spend my weekends stressed out, scrambling for a laptop because the app won’t allow me to join live classes. Because of this, I’m missing valuable interaction with instructors and falling behind with backlogs. And no — watching recordings is not the same when you’ve paid for live, interactive sessions.

This experience has taken a serious toll on me emotionally and mentally. I feel ignored, unsupported, and misled. I paid lakhs of rupees for this course — not for silence, not for unresolved issues, and certainly not for ruined weekends.

I have asked to be moved to the next batch under Mr. Ranjith, and I’m not joining another class until this is resolved.

If you're considering Edureka, think twice — especially if you're expecting genuine support and a seamless experience.

Absolutely horrible, a nightmare experience! I was given wrong info on the course I wanted to take (Selenium), there is grading that I do not wish for and live lessons were in wrong time zone, which means I could not participate in introduction. When I asked for a refund BEFORE my very first lesson (the first live session was introduction), they refused since it does not conform with their 3-day rule. If you are from Europe, stay away from Edureka.

I am writing to formally raise a serious complaint regarding continuous unauthorized deductions from my credit card by Edureka.

Since September, an amount of 489 AED has been deducted from my card eight times, totaling approximately 4,000 AED (equivalent to 91,000 INR). This is far beyond the originally agreed course fee of 41,000 INR (after discount), as committed by your sales consultant, Ms. Arpita.

Additionally, I had clearly requested the cancellation of the course on the third day after subscription, but was informed that my request was declined based on the claim that I had exceeded a 6-hour usage limit within the 72-hour period—which was never communicated to me at the time of enrollment.

I have also raised multiple support tickets previously regarding this issue, but no proper resolution was provided. Even if my cancellation request was declined, I fail to understand why deductions exceeding the agreed course amount are being charged to my account. The total deducted amount is now more than double the agreed course fee, which is completely unjustified and unacceptable.

Moreover, after receiving the initial payment, their sales consultant Ms. Arpita became completely unresponsive, leaving me with no support or clarification.

This entire experience has been extremely disappointing, and I consider this practice to be unethical, unauthorized, and financially exploitative toward students.
