How are there so many positive reviews???
I’m honestly surprised by all the positive reviews. In my experience, the way Elastic presented the terms upfront was misleading. The balance carry fees are absolutely brutal.
I borrowed $3,500 in late April or early May, and 10% was deducted before the money was transferred to me. From May through mid-October, I paid at least $250 out of every biweekly paycheck, sometimes more. After all those payments, my balance was still $2,925. Watching that much money leave my paycheck with so little progress toward reducing the balance was incredibly frustrating.
To give credit where it’s due, customer service was great, and the financial wellness tool was excellent. But those positives don’t outweigh the cost of borrowing. This felt predatory to me.
I sold belongings to help get this paid off and out of my life. It’s finally paid, and I’m relieved that such a large chunk of every paycheck will no longer go toward barely reducing this balance.
Before borrowing from Elastic, look closely at the fees, how payments are applied, and what other options are available. I wish I had understood just how expensive this would be before putting myself in this position. Do better than I did before committing.

Don't trust them!

So why email saying I qualify for a line of credit if your just going to deny me. Its beyond frustrating when I could use the money so badly right now.. and the service? Is impossible to get through too, and they just give the same repetitive answers. The application process is simple but quit telling me im approved and then deny me.

Elastic is a predatory lending company…
Elastic is a predatory lending company that's been sued in multiple states for their practices. They are not honest about anything and refuse to be of assistance in times of hardship. Stay away from them
There are paid reviews for this company on here. Dont believe any of them. They're being sued in court for misleading people.
The reply is a lie, they aren't upfront about anything. They were sued in DC 4 years ago for having predatory lending rates. Seems like nothing has changed. The parent comp is Elevate. They don't disclose an APR, but which ranges between 129-251 percent which is much higher than Tennessee's limit of 10%. They're running foul of state law.

I have been getting the run around since 9/14 when I never got my cash advance in the mail
Each person I talked to had a different story about the time frame of the check

This is a con to suck consumers dry when they are in a difficult situation wish I had never done it. Ok your charged a fee when you draw off credit line then wham every month they charge another fee when you've used your max credit line. I was out of of work for a couple months on workmans comp which doesn't pay your bills at 66%. Be mindful and read the small print. I would advise not to do the credit line not unless you've got the amount you borrowed coming back in to payoff quickly. Like I said the initial fee and the fee when balance carried over makes it excessive.
