Canceling an inactive account easier than I thought
I had a problem not being able to log into an inactive account and cancel and the whole thing was handled over email. I went from have no clue how to solve the problem to problem solved. Also got a partial refund. Did not ask for it but very happy to receive it.

Poor support and site access
I logged in and paid for a year and was looking at the summary of Faithful Place by Tana French. I could only get to chapter 7 and no matter where I looked could go no further. Even tried contacting support which was totally ineffective.

WARNING: Lowest quality products. Refunds difficult. Harassing emails.
I am completely disappointed with eNotes. Their product is so low quality as to be beyond belief. One summary I read used the wrong name for the main character in a famous Stephen King novel. If you can't get the names right, how can anything else be right? Their analyses of plot, character, and language are at or below a sixth grade level. Their refund and cancelation policies are poorly stated and harsh. So harsh that this company may be a scam used to trap unsuspecting customers into paying what is billed as a refundable fee for a trial period which the company has no intention of refunding. Do yourself, your friends, and your family a favor. Stay far away from this company. UPDATE: After I posted this review on Trustpilot the company contacted me and agreed to refund my money, which it did. However, the company also admitted that it did get the name of the major character in a famous Stephen King novel wrong. The company also agreed that the summary of the novel was "weak," an understatement to say the least. While I do appreciate the refund and the admission that the product is flawed ("weak"), now, more than ever, I strongly recommend that this company and its products be avoided. UPDATE: After updating my post to reflect eNotes refunded my money and admitted to the low quality of the summary I purchased, I received one final email from eNotes -- dripping with sarcasm and ending with this sentence: "Do you spend a lot of time lambasting small businesses on the world wide web? Have a good weekend." So we know three things about eNotes: some of its products are of such low quality as to be useless; it will issue refunds but you have to jump through hoops; and it will attack people who leave honest negative reviews. Again, be wary of this company.
