Some of the speakers didn’t show up, the company says that the subject matter experts in their field don’t make the presentation, and that just because they don’t show up, it doesn’t ruin the experience. Let me get this right, an engineer doesn’t show up, so the young college aged staff will instead play computer CAD games and build with an erector set instead. It’s supposed to be a STEM program, not a building erector sets with the neighbor program. $4,000 to have younger staffers try their best, while the envision staff pocket the money and say “oh well, stuff happens.” And don’t even get me started on the safety security aspect. They SAY you have to have ID and proof when you pick up your children…. Wrong, I could have walked in there and taken my son and all his friends and no one would have known. I also could have taken any medication I wanted, since all the kids meds were sitting in a table like a “free” section of a garage sale. Thank god nothing bad happened to my son while he was there, but it is not what the brochure says it is. Use the $4,000 and go on a family vacation instead of sending 1 kid on a 5 day camp that is second rate at best.

I haven’t experienced what it was like to be college student and this program is where I found out and it was great because of the people you meet, and the academic opportunities there are at envision.

Envision seemed like a great opportunity for my son to build more leadership skills, so we chose Washington, DC as his option. The beginning of the program went well, but he wasn't given any additional skills above what he already had. He enjoyed the city tour and the friends, but the program was of no use to him otherwise. Then, the travel home was a nightmare. The escort for my son failed to communicate properly with my son's mother, and he ended up stranded without a connecting flight home. The escort to the airport just wanted to be rid of the responsibility of my son.

Great experience with the pick up and drop off at airport. My son felt there could be a few more breaks to have recreation time due to the small group effect.

My son was placed with another student of the opposite sex as his roommate. I notified registration as soon as we knew at 4 pm but they did not address it until almost 11pm. My son was so stressed out because no one was communicating with him and at this point he was in a room alone. Once they moved him, they did not give him a key and was locked out in the hallway at 3 am after using the restroom. Needless to say, he was up all night and couldn’t focus on the program, I picked him up and Envision was not willing to refund $1 despite the negligence and child endangerment that occurred.

Nora made many new friends and just had a blast, her only downfall is she felt rushed at some museums. She learned a ton and had a life experience she won't forget!

This is a good camp to explore aspects of leadership beyond a school setting. However, it would've been better if there was time for the curriculum throughout it, not just 3 days into the camp and after. Additionally, we should've had sufficient learning past basic ethical character traits and into a more advanced curriculum on leadership. I might be a little biased on favor of school, but these are my thoughts.

A lot of down time. Kids constantly playing on their cellphones ( not to do with curriculum), the projects they build are kiwi crate brand, which I feel like for the cost of the program I could just buy those at my house and build them at house.
A lot of time sitting around and not actually doing science or stem. Wouldn’t recommend.

The company was great. Isaac loved all the staff. It was a wonderful camp.

My son was an alumni this year and i was disappointed ot see you had Anthony Robles 2 years in a row. One of the reasons we chose this program was for theexposure to new leaders.

A few years ago out daughter chose Envision and heard Malala speak, along with atheletes and political figures.

The curriculum is not intriguing according to my child.

The diversity, culture, and site seeing is what I enjoyed most. Learning how to work well with others and becoming a better leader to my peers in all my future endeavors. Thanks Envision for all of your guidance in the leadership program.

Unbelievably overpriced. "Engineering" module had wiring already completed turning this into a cardboard craft. "Dissection" was basically an exercise in how to use scissors - entire curriculum was totally lacking - do not blow your savings on this. $4k for one week - a total joke.

Having parking so far away from registration was an inconvenience, especially considering the hills on Emory University's campus. Having shuttles able to transport from parking to registration would have been helpful. Pick-up was confusing. One set of instructions gave one pick up site. The students were actually in another area. Signage for pick-up would have been beneficial. The counselors were friendly. They gave unclear directions regarding where to find the dorm room and where to pick up students. Communication needs to be clear, concise, and consistent. Overall, my student thoroughly enjoyed her experience and hopes to participate again next year which I would support.

Every activity, people, speaker, advisor, and place was great and left a memorable and positive impact on me! Would love to come back!

My poor review is due to safety and staffing. My daughter had to be picked up at a different time due to flight cancellations. She headed to the pre discussed meetup location (between 14 and 15 on the lower level) which I confirmed via text with one of your staff members a few hours prior to her arrival. The chaperones chose to go to her gate to pick her up there without notifying me in advance. There was a male and female chaperone. The male chaperone found her and took her to the car ALONE where they waited together for at least 20 minutes before they drove around to pick up the female chaperone and male student who was also a late arrival. Allowing a male chaperone to be alone with a female student should be absolutely prohibited!
A male staff member took my daughter to her dorm room ALONE. (Again, not wise on the part of the male staff or safe for a female student)
When she arrived late no one offered to give her a quick rundown of what to do or where to go for anything. She wasn't told what time they were leaving in the morning (5:30 am), where to go for breakfast, etc. She was in your care for more than 12 hours before she was offered food of any kind.
She said she felt as if the staff didn't care about any of them. Most of them could never answer her questions clearly.
Students who arrived Sunday received some swag bag type stuff which she was never given (water bottle, pen, etc.
I understand her late arrival wasn't your businesses fault. However, there should be plans made that allow for a little extra care for the kids who's schedules are messed up due to airline delays.
Finally, the struggle to get her on her return flight. She said there were around 8 chaperones with all the kids, but they were required to all stay together, making it difficult for some kids to catch their flights. She said parents who met their students were signing paperwork before taking their child. Kylie was allowed to walk away from the group to get food and then never returned to the group. I approved of this because I was on the phone with her, she is a confident person, and she knew right where to go for her flight. The chaperone didn't have her name, didn't really know where she went, and never contacted me to confirm she made it on her flight. Now, like I said, I approved of this for several reasons, but what if this happened with a different kid and they walked out of the airport? The chaperones would have never known. Students who were flying alone should have had to sign themselves out before leaving the group.
