The programming lessons managed to teach me in 3 days, what originally took me 3 years to understand. truly was a lifesaver and prevented me from quitting my path altogether.

My son had a great time and learned new things. The counselors and advisors at the University of Denver were excellent.

My daughter had a great time during the week in Atlanta. The drop off parking was not as organized as I would have thought. Not enough signage or people working the parking lot. Other then that the staff we can in contact with during drop off was very good. They had great attitudes and bit it off with my daughter immediately. I would send my daughter back to another camp.

Additional pillow and blanket
Overall my son’s experience was great! He rated it a 4 not 5. When I asked him why he said it was because he had asked for an additional pillow and blanket the first night and never received them the entire five nights. Seems petty, if true unnecessary. There should’ve been more blankets and pillows somewhere.

Great experience
Tony had a great time and learned a lot. As a parent there seemed to be a lot of down time during the day according to him. For the expense, maybe less free time and more actual hands on. Plan to attend more courses when offered.

For Ella Tice
For me, getting to see all of the memorials, monuments and the historical buildings made my experience the best. I enjoyed seeing all of these places and learned about them. I also enjoyed being able to experience this once in a lifetime opportunity with the people I had gotten really close to through the program. The company is really good at being able to make sure your time spent with the program is spent wisely. They encourage change with in not only yourself but others too. They teach you how to better yourself and your community.

Great Experience, Great People
My group leader, Frank, made sure that we were having fun while we went through all the different lessons. It was a great way to learn about medicine and how I felt about it. I love everything that we learned. I do wish that we learned about more of the different careers we can go into.

hot mess
I stayed at the Yale campus and during my stay even the staff were often lost when it came to where we were supposed to be and what we were doing. The program did not have as many hands on activities and learning experiences as I had believed it would be. During my stay there was even a fight that occurred which caused chaos. During my stay there was an outbreak of a virus and the staff failed to inform us which caused people to leave due to fear of the negligence of the staff of the program. Overall the program was absolutely not worth the money.
Not worth the $5,000
During orientation my son and another Hispanic young man was not provided with there ID with the QR code for their schedule. I felt they weren't not included despite of showing registered. Secondly. I was asked to drop off tan pants in which I dropped them off the same day within few hours and those pants weren't given to him until several days . Very unorganized, then was informed that every student was provide with their own private room, but my son was put with another kid. Lastly, I was told by numerous staff that my son was going to receive his certificate the Saturday that we had an emergency causing us to pick him up one day early . We still haven't received it in the mail. I would not recommend this academy . It's obvious there's no inclusion...
It was a great leadership experience, it helps me learn how to be a great leader and learn more about some historical monument.
What made my experience there great was meeting new friends, learning about history, learning about others opinions of a specific subject, and having fun.

Greatness
The thing that made the experience great was breakout rooms and hanging out with a little inclusive class with everyone getting to know each other. The other great thing was the various medical activities we got to learn and do.

Communication, respect for time and feelings, and organization
The communication between councilors, and between councilors and students, was almost nonexistent. We spent 45 minutes one day walking between two auditoriums, because it was never communicated where to go. My group started walking to the correct one, then someone got a message that we needed to be at one about half a mile away. We walk in, and are unable to get into the room. We then walk all the way back to where we were, listen to one presentation, then had to walk to the previous building again for the next two. On top of this, during our trip to new york city, our councilor told us to meet back where we got dropped off, in front of the AMC, at 8:30 pm. Not only was this not the correct location, but she was not there and stopped answering us in the group me. After calling other students, we walked to where some other busses were, but when asking the councilors there where our bus, or our group leader was, we received no answer. When our bus did arrive, our councilor told us in the group me to hurry up and board, yes was the last person we were waiting for. This leads to my next point that the time management was terrible. Almost every single day, for every single activity, my entire group would meet at our designated spot and had to wait at least 5 minutes for our councilor. While we got scolded if we were ever late to something, or stayed in the dining hall too long, she never respected our time, and we would even get dumped onto other councilors to take care of us. It didn’t even natter in the end, since we would get pulled out of breakfast at 8:15, not leave for our classroom until 8:45, get there at 9, and still be told that our materials weren't ready and we had to sit and do nothing for 30 minutes. This happened at least once every single day. Lastly, there was little regard for the feelings of students when things went wrong, and never once did councilors take responsibility or apologize. On the day we walked between auditoriums, my friend was unable to do her introduction for the speaker, and told that if we were faster it wouldn't have gotten cut. We were forced to walk 20 minutes to the book store for “rec time” and told we could only spend 18 minutes there. However, when I asked if I could wait inside, in the air conditioning, until the last person finished in line, as it would add no extra time, I was told I had to wait in the 90 degree heat. Finally, my councilor changed her mind about the group that would get to present for the medical showcase. As we walked into the auditorium, she texted in the group me “group one you arent going anymore its gonna be group 2.” My friend in group one was furious, and explained that even though she is talking to an authority figure it doesnt give her the right to be inconsiderate and rude. Our councilor replied “i want to win, so thats how it is.” Then, pulled her aside and told her that all three presentations were horrible and she couldn't pick cause she knew there was no way we’d ever win. These were my main complaints, but I will quickly mention that the packing list required 5-6 relaxed professional outfits, and we were told on day one that we would never be allowed into our rooms to change. Please fix this unnecessary lie! There is no need to have students fill their suitcases with clothes they will not wear. Also, the only activities that scrubs would be helpful for are phlebotomy and triage. I wont even bother criticizing that though, I know that the program has us wearing them all day everyday so that the program appears more serious in instagram photos. I will end by saying that the visit to the medical college was extremely helpful, especially talking to the admissions officer, as well as the panel of medical students. I know for certain I want to be a doctor now due to how under stimulating much of this was, and met a few amazing friends, and highly enjoyed the experience of being on a college campus for a week. I think the nature of this program is great, but I think the organization and accountability is what set me off. I hope that future sessions can be more straightforward with communication and honest with students.
Yale Medical program
My daughter attended the medical program at Yale. We thought it was going to be more serious. Her counselor was very disorganized getting her group to all the events late. Many kids were there to party and hook up not learn anything. There were a few take aways but nothing worth the money spent to send her here.
Terribly Planned, Don’t do it
The entire thing was not planned well as locations and time were updated consistently and it seems like time to walk to each location wasn’t factored into the scheduling. The poor group leaders didn’t know what to do and half the time instructions weren’t clearly stated or stated at all. Be it dorm rules or what to do in the moment. I was truly let down by this program.
Hands on fun
Our daughter had a fun experience, enjoyed meeting new friends and taking a deep dive into college life and the medical field.

My daughter recently attended the National Youth Leadership Forum in Medicine & Health Care at Yale University, and it was truly an unforgettable experience for her. From the moment she arrived, she felt inspired, challenged, and supported. The program provided a perfect balance of academic enrichment, hands-on experiences, and opportunities to connect with other driven students from around the world.
She came back more motivated than ever to pursue a career in medicine, especially in dermatology. The workshops, hospital simulations, and lectures by professionals gave her valuable insight into the field and helped her feel more confident about her future path.
What stood out the most to her was the leadership aspect of the program. It pushed her out of her comfort zone in the best way possible and helped her grow not just as a student, but as a young woman ready to take on the world.
Thank you, Envision, for offering such a meaningful and empowering opportunity. As a parent, I’m deeply grateful for the impact this experience had on her personal and academic growth.
