Does what it says on the tin
Great service, looks to be good quality cable and plugs with cover. Comes with a bag, however this is my only complaint. The bag is too small, I fully understand that it's a perfect fit for the cable if you roll it up carefully and take your time. It would have been nice to have a more practical size bag for day to day use.
Although I have mentioned the bag size as a negative I would still use EV-cables again.

The guy on sales line was most helpful…
The guy on sales line was most helpful and the ev lead is very good and works well. The only negative is that I wanted only 5 mtr cable but their quality lead is only available with 10 mtrs or longer.

We'd also like to apologise for not having the Premium charger available in the 5-metre length you were looking for. Historically, 5-metre cables have been the de facto length supplied by vehicle manufacturers, so demand for premium aftermarket chargers in this length has been relatively low. As a result, we haven't traditionally held large stock quantities, which unfortunately led to a shortfall while this size was out of stock.
We appreciate the inconvenience this caused and are continually reviewing stock levels to ensure we can better meet customer demand in the future.

Tether Cable replacement
High quality cable, installed and working with no difficulty. Crimp on the pilot wire had to be removed, wire stripped to fit the connection block as the crimp was too fat.

Excellent quality cable, needed because the one supplied with the car was not comparable with the full 7kW capacity of my charger. It was rated to 7 amps, whereas it should have been 30 amps, which would give me the 7kW charging rate. The new cable is 30 amps, and also the extra length (1 metre longer) than the original makes all the difference for plugging in because of the distance from the charger to the car. Huge improvement on the original.

You’re absolutely right, most manufacturers tend to supply (or offer) a 5m cable as standard, so that extra bit of length can make a surprising difference depending on your setup. It’s one of those things you don’t realise until you’re stretching to plug in!
Interesting point on the original cable not allowing full 7kW — most OEM cables are typically rated for that, so it does make us curious what was limiting it in your case. Either way, glad the new 7.5m has solved both the reach and performance for you.

Good quality Type 2 cable with reliable performance. Consistently delivers stable charging at 32A (7.4kW single phase). The 15m length is particularly useful for flexible parking situations. The cable feels durable and well-made. No overheating or connection issues so far. Would recommend.

Great quality cable
Quick and accurate advice in the web chat. Quick service and delivery. I wanted a shorter cable that is IP65 and this is exactly what i wanted. Cheaper cables around but can tell this is well made.

Really well-made cable.
Good communications / well-packaged and quick delivery. As good as the one that came with the car (3m) but I need 10-15m and a better colour. Very good price compared to rest of the market. Would happily buy from EV-Cables but I think this one will last longer than I need.

We have owned an EV for more than 5…
We have owned an EV for more than 5 years and used alot of equipment. So far these are the best EV Type2 cables you can buy. They have a clasp that allows you to clip a plug to the cable to tidy up your coil. The caps for the plugs are strong and durable. The colours are perfect for our needs and the case was large enough to not break when you put a 15m cable in them. All five star issues to consider when you are getting an EV Type 2 cable.
