I cannot praise James (and Harry) enough for the excellent work they carried out for me. In all there were eight different jobs for them to do in my house, And they kept me informed at every stage just to how things were going. They worked incredibly hard all day, hardly stopping for a break. They were very respectful of my needs, and The whole experience was free from any stress at all. And they did such a fantastic job tidying up afterwards, but I told them I hardly needed my cleaner to come the next day!

I really like the function of quoting over a call. Everything was scheduled quickly after accepting the quote and the electrician came on time and the issues we had were sorted swiftly. Payment was settled over a payment link which was safe and secure. Very glad we went with them! Will definitely be coming back if we ever had another issue with our electrics

Needed a small re-wiring job in one room. Electrician turned up pretty much on time, discussed requirements with me carefully then got on with it. Cleaned up mess well although they don’t take it away, which didn’t bother me. They don’t do replastering, again fine with me as we’re having the room decorated. Overall, efficient and polite. I didn’t do much research on going rates as this was a smallish job, but I thought it was pretty fair.

* Bedroom - Install double socket and repositioned satelite point.
* Install fused spur for junction box externally ready for a Ring flood light
* Bedroom- Install external IP rated socket - back to back from internal socket
* Bedroom- Install double socket.

Economy:
Quote was economical compared to others with good quality of materials used.

Efficiency:
Workman ship was of a high standard and professional. Quick response from receiving my quote to having the electrical jobs installed and completed.

Effectiveness:
Initial quote was done via video link proving very effective for carbon footprint. I received a reply in a timely manner and a date for work to be carried out.

Would highly recommend and use Farthing electrical again should I need.

I found Farthing Electrical through a google search and called for an emergency appointment following a small fire in my home. I had a really good experience of dealing with Farthing. Really helpful assistance on the phone, including a follow-up call back. An email quote was sent through for me to approve and James attended within a couple of hours. He did what was needed to make things safe (really put my mind at ease) and the invoice was exactly what I expecting it to be (no hidden extras). Overall, it was a good experience and exactly what I needed. I’m grateful for the prompt and professional service.

This is the second electrical system repair Farthing Electrical have carried out at our home. James is always very helpful, giving professional advice on the best solution to any electrical problems. He fitted in our repair at short notice, which was very helpful. I would recommend him to anyone requiring electrical work.

The guys were very professional and treated my home with respect, they left the areas of work clean and tidy. I also appreciated the FaceTime before any work was carried out to ensure the quote was accurate. Pricing was competitive too.

My daughter used James (Farthing electrical) when she had extensive work carried out on her house and I used his firm last week as I needed new security cameras fitting and 4 fixtures taking down. I had a quick response from the office and video call from James and a most immediate quote, which I accepted on line very easily. We’ve used James (at Farthing Electrical) a few times now. He’s always been efficient, knowledgable and pleasant to deal with. On the last occasion we needed him quickly and he responded exceptionally quickly. It turned out to be a simple problem (I’m embarrassed to say) but James sorted it and gave us a very fair price.

I contacted James about some additional sockets, and he replied almost immediately. We had a FaceTime call where I was able to show him where I needed them. He was able to tell it was a relatively simple fix and was able to fit us in very quickly. Harry, who did the work, arrived a little early and worked quickly and efficiently. He kept any disruption to an absolute minimum and left the area spotless. It is such a relief to find a good electrician as I have other jobs and would not hesitate to call on Farthing Electrical again

We had problem with our patio lights and also have a few other small electrical jobs. Sent a message on WhatsApp and James replied straight away and came to ours the next day. We used Farthing Electrical for a few years now and James always turn up at agreed time and really professional and at reasonable price. We had a problematic light switch. Contacted Farthing
leaving phone message, James replied within the hour, he came out later that day and fitted a new switch - perfect service as usual.

James and Harry did a great job installing linked floodlights around my house, I can highly recommend them.
