The scariest moving company I have ever encountered: In the beginning, this company reached out quickly with low price quotation and promised extra manpower to try to win us from other vendors. On the moving day, the nightmare came, they came unprepared and showed up as 2 men team with Luton van instead of 3 men team with moving truck as they promised. It took them 2.5 hours to correct and sent another man & proper moving truck. Once they finally finished uploading, they started to ask for overtime working fee before they could drive to the destination. They kept slowing down the moving and made excuses that we have too much stuff ( while one surveyor from them actually came to our flat to evaluate how much need to be moved). One of the movers constantly talked on phone with their manager to get instructions on how to charge extra. Eventually we need to offload the boxes by ourselves to speed up the whole process. The moving experience with them felt like a scam. Please don't trust their quotation, once they started to move your boxes into their van/ truck, they would leverage to ask more & more fee for uploading, offloading or extra time etc.

Used Fast Interior Removals in Sept 2019 for a short move in south London of a 2 bed flat. Booked for packing and provision of packing materials and full move to be completed in one day. They turned up without the packing materials and I had to drive them across London to collect these. They took excessive breaks (including one sleeping in the van for the morning) so dragged out completing the packing for the entire day. They did not pack with care and broke items. Two staff walked off the job at 5pm and we had to unload the van ourselves as no one could be reached to give an answer about whether they would complete the job. They sent another (unwanted) van and 5 people after this to pack up the remaining 3rd of the flat. Following a complaint to them they issued a bill tripling the cost of the move and threatened to send people round to collect on the invoice. They tried to claim we hadn't told them about all the items being moved, which was a lie. They had two visits to review the contents of the flat and provided two 'accurate' quotes based on this. I believe this was an attempt to scam us by them providing considerable extra staff and a van out of what they considered normal hours after they deliberately failed to complete the job in normal working hours. At the very least the additional invoice was a bullying tactic to get us to withdraw our claim. I took them to Court for breach of contract and breach of consumer law. They agreed to settle after opening statements from the judge. This is not a reputable firm. Do not use. They also respond to negative reviews claiming they are not true or seeking to undermine the case put in the review and have them removed.

We had a positive experience 4 years ago, but we now realise that was just luck. We used Fast Interior Removals again for a second time and got burned badly.

We had a large move - 5 bedroom detached house - to another property in the same village. They had moved us almost identically 4 years previously so they should know exactly how hard this move should be (identical move). We received a reasonable quote, about 10% higher than the first move but 4 years had passed.

On the day, the moving team was very good and the team manager was very professional, but half-way through the second day of a 2-day move everything fell apart. The “overtime” clause kicked in.

Fast Interior Removals is a scam - providing a low quote up front and then gouging you on the spot at the end of your move when you are most tired and frustrated.

We ended up spending almost 50% additional on top of what was initially quoted.

We will NEVER use this company again.

EDIT (in reply to company response) - Nope. The scope was agreed and we never said we would move any items, small or otherwise. Other customers can choose to use you if they like but I hope they consider their options carefully. Caveat emptor.

I asked the company to move around 11 furniture items from a flat to a house, some of which needed dismantling and reassembling. Had a video quote and recieved a great value quote, having been told 4 hours would cover the job. On the day, the 2 man team arrived promptly. Lovely guys, very polite. But clearly amateurs. They didn't have the right tools and sent me off to find them myself. Also told me to go to the shop to buy them drinks, and find a place to order pizza. And they kept saying the video quote was way off. It took them over 8 hours to finish the job, and by then I had given up and said I'd assemble 3 of the 5 items myself. They built my daughter's bed in the wrong place, and then told me I had to live with it as they couldn't turn it. So much stress - and on top of this, the boss told me that this job had taken longer than 4 hours, so I needed to pay an extra £72/hour or they would refuse to unload and would take my furniture back to their store. As a single female felt intimdated and bullied, especially when trying to work and the team leader kept coming into the room during zoom meetings and interrupting to ask for money. My personal view - the video quote was deliberately low to get the work on the basis that once the furniture is in their van, they can hold you to ransom, insisting you pay hundreds extra to finish the job. The boss claimed it was my fault - hadn't I read the small print in the contract? He hadn't forced me to sign (true, but he had called me multiple times/week to follow up on the quote and reassure me). More competent professionals could have done the job in 4 hours, I've seen it. Would not use again or recommend.

One of the best company I ever known. They do truly believe in their mission statement, which is so impactful.

We went with Fast Interior Removals as we really liked our initial meeting with Faisal - we got a good vibe. We asked for a price to move out of our house, pay to put our furniture in storage and to then move it back in five months after having our house renovated. The price was about mid range compared to other companies which seemed fair. On the day of removals the guys who came were friendly. Before they took our furniture, I did several sweeps of the house and found each time items that had been overlooked (blinds, a light etc). I feel they should have had someone allocated to do final sweeps rather than it being down to me. Also, we had to pay a further £100 for extra boxes as they had under quoted for that. When I came to arrange to move our furniture back in, I was told the price to move back in was not included and that it was going to cost me a further £900. I had been very specific about what we wanted a quote for in the first place - the full job not half of it!! The paperwork was very misleading listing that our furniture was going from our home address to our home address but it was marked as on the same day. This I had missed I admit. Why would anyone engage a removals company to take away all of their belongings without knowing how much it was going to cost without getting it back again? I arranged for another company to move our stuff back in as by this point I did not want to work with Fast Interior Removals any more. When I told them this they offered me a reduction in price - £650. When we unpacked, I found some of our items were very well wrapped and some were not and had been broken. Our food waste bin from under the sink had been put in a box with food waste still inside - not a pretty site to find. I think Fast Interior Removals have a long way to go before they are offering a service comparable with the professionalism of others.

While FIR performed two site surveys and logged all items to be removed, they attempted to renegotiate a higher price during the move (after having been engaged).
FIR also caused damage in excess of GBP 3300 when a stack of boxes they had stacked too high collapsed. Despite having all items covered under insurance, they refused to pay out. First by not responding at all, then by claiming they did not receive the insurance documentation, then by claiming no damage was done, and finally, when presented with all the evidence, reverting back to simply not responding to correspondence and hanging up the phone.
The movers also seemed tired and overworked on arrival. One of them showed symptoms of extreme exhaustion and weakness and nearly collapsed shortly after arrival. It is only through a sheer miraculous coincidence that no-one got hurt during the move. The various equipment they dropped (including the collapsed stack of boxes with an office machine weighing in excess of 20kg) could have easily caused serious injury or death had it fallen on someone.
I experienced FIR as extremely unprofessional, negligent, unsafe and uncooperative.
Be prepared to fight for any claims in court, as they will not cooperate.
