We love Fine Linens
We love Fine Linens. In the past two months, we have purchased a new towel set (Bulle Bath towels by Le Jacquard Francais in Liana) and a new coverlet (Kerala by Pine Cone Hill in spice) from Fine Linens. Both purchases have added luxury to our bath and bedroom. The colors are subtle and sophisticated, and the products are well-made. The towels have stayed soft and maintained their color after weekly washing. I swear I sleep better under the Kerala coverlet. Given the quality, I assume they'll last.
Fine Linens provides excellent customer service, as well. Take advantage of the free-swatch option to be sure you get the color and texture you want. Even though I've never been in the Fine Linen store, shopping online is almost as good as going to a Mom & Pop store in my little city.
While the prices are high, the quality of the merchandise justifies them. Also, watch for sales. They have them frequently, which makes their products a little more affordable.

The Company was easy to work with and answered my questions quickly over email. Shipping was very quick and the products were packaged thoughtfully. Most importantly I am very happy with my order! I ordered the BROOKLYN MATELASSÉ BY PINE CONE HILL QUEEN COVERLET and pillows. It was even softer than I had hoped and better looking in person. It was the perfect textured addition to my bedding. The order consisted of two king-size pillowcases, made from fine, soft cotton.

An item I received was damaged
An item I received was damaged. While Fine Linens was helpful in resolving the issue, I felt that too much time and effort was wasted while the company worked with the manufacturer to replace my item. I believe the company should have resolved the issue directly with me and then sorted it out with the manufacturer.

As a Canadian
As a Canadian, I was extremely upset to discover that, in addition to the $86 (Cdn) cost for the product from Fine Linens, there was an additional $43 (Cdn) demanded upon delivery by Purolator...an additional cost that arrived without any forewarning by Fine Linens. In other words, I had to pay 150% of what I expected. In future, might I most strongly suggest that you offer candid and honest information at the time of sale. If I had been so notified, I would never have made the purchase.

I am very sorry you are disappointed in the duty fee when shipping to Canada. Unfortunately we have no control over the duty/taxes when shipping to Canada as that is a charge provided by the shipping company. However we do have a International checkout button and option on the website that you might have missed. If you did click that for checkout it would have given you the exact cost to ship it to your address. Again our apologies as we never want to disappoint any customers and would be happy to look into this further for you
