Disappointing customer service for a premium wine retailer.
An expensive older bottle purchased for Christmas Eve had a cork that completely crumbled, requiring extensive filtering. While I understand cork issues can happen, the response from FineLiquors was dismissive and condescending rather than professional.
Instead of a courteous explanation of policy, I was criticized for my corkscrew and told I should avoid older wines in the future. That’s not how you treat customers buying high-end bottles.
Wine aside, the customer experience was poor.
