Good experience overall
Shipping was fast and accurate. The bowl looks very nice and is finished well. My only critique is that then stem when put on in the correct orientation is curved to the left. This does not hinder its function in anyway. Just messes with my ocd as it is not lined up with the center of the bowl. Still I will be ordering other pipes in the near future.

Great to work with and a fine pipe
Great to work with and a fine pipe. These churchwardens are very reminicent of the pipes of old. Hand made, all wood, and a good draw. The finish on my myrtle wood was excellent adn the fit and finish is superb. I do recommend the wiremess for pipe tobacco. The length could be 10" for perfect lenght. I think 8" is too short for me, and the next length is 12". I will buy from FloggeWerks again.

The instructions sheet in the box said not to worry that there was detachment of Bowl and stem. I wanted to get the larger stem, but find some disappointing experience with the constant detachment

We're sorry to hear that there is an issue and that the stem is fitting loosely. We do test the fit of each and every stem-to-bowl before sending them out, but something as simple as climate difference between our location and yours can cause the wood to either swell or contract a bit which might compromise the fit. There are a few things that can be tried to help first, but if that doesn't work then we can consider getting replacement pieces as needed.
First, please be sure that you are seating the stem properly itself. This may seem self-explanatory, but you'd be surprised and how often this can be the fix you're looking for so it's always worth a try. The tapered non-flattened end should be inserted into the bowl, directly following the intake hole. Don't be afraid to push firmly, as the stem may go in further than you think - and that is a good thing! A slight twist while inserting can ensure a nice air-tight fit, then straighten as needed.
I do suggest to try inserting it firmly and having a smoke, and allowing your pipe to cool completely afterward without removing the stem. Doing this a few times over the course of the break-in period can really secure the fit of the two pieces as they form together during the heating and cooling process. Please also be sure that you do not purposefully remove the stem while your pipe is still hot at any time, as this can cause warping in the wood and you might end up with a bad fit.
However, if the issue still persists after this then please let us know and we can work on getting you replacement pieces as needed.

Mountaineer Pipe
Cool! Loved the handmade pipe aesthetic. Packaging was neat and safe for rowdy mail carrier rides. I was hoping the freezing weather would not have ruined the wood but there seemed to be enough air in the box (as insulation) around the packaged pipe.
Really cool to see individual marks on the bowl from a hot metal tip to resemble mountains. I like the pressed mouthpiece as well as the rounded ness of the bowl itself.
I debated on getting a flat bowl so I may set it down and it can stand upright, however the hand feel of a round bowl is wizardly.
There are a few minor minor blemishes where the pipe enters the bowl however this is expected of a handmade piece.
I have yet to smoke from it as of writing this review, but I am sure the smoke will be a cool draw with plenty of flavor. I will research properly cleaning a church warden, but it’s an added bonus that this pipe may be disassembled for cleaning.
May purchase another one! Great work

One of the best pipe shops around
The first time a Flogglewerks order hasn't been absolutely perfect. The Hobbit rune at the end, the M, was a bit less engraved and is noticeably lighter than the rest of the hobbit runes on the pipe. Other than that it is perfect in every way. For such a minor mistake after so many orders I would say that is doing amazingly well. Still one of my top two pipe shops around in my opinion. Another true gem that I am glad to have in my pipe collection.
