I can't believe the reviews I have read
I can't believe the reviews I have read on here, I emailed customer services, late Wednesday, had a reply first thing Thursday morning, they couldn't have been more helpful, sending several emails to help me get my robot mower up and running, they talked me through the task, and soon had my mower was back to normal.Well done Siobhan and her colleagues
Dreadful company
I recently bought a Flymo SimpliGuide 360 through Amazon France. The Amazon website information and the Flymo website both state that a 10m cable is provided with the lawnmower. However, I did not receive any cable whatsoever. Now, several weeks later, Flymo through Gardena as the french agent, have suggested that I return the lawnmower to Amazon and ask for a refund. No comment on their dishonest website information.
The brand you can not trust
We had a Flymo Mighti-Mo 300 Li Cordless lawn mower, a great mower but the battery connections failed after 3 years. After several emails, Flymo referred us to a dealer who said he could not help us as he was fed up with Flymo because he had been waiting 4 months for parts, and anyway, the battery was no longer available. So we have had to scrap a perfectly good mower.
Flymo offered us 20% off their EasiStore model and I asked if it could be deducted from Amazon's current special offer price i.e. £200 less 20% = £160. They stated that the mower had to be purchased from them so the 20% would be off the RRP, and would therefore be much more expensive than Amazon's price - so their offer was worthless.
Flymo's slogan is 'The brand you can trust'. I think this contravenes the Trade Description Act.
Useless product and awful management
I purchased your Flymo Simpliglide 360 on 31st May, and have been very unhappy with it’s performance.
I have only ever had petrol rotary mowers before, but am finding with your model it:
- Sucks cut grass into the rear air vents
- This reduces its ability to ‘hover’
- It quickly overheats, cuts out and takes over 30 minutes before it will operate
- Dismantling to remove the cut grass from inside the housing is a lengthy process
No reply, even after chasers to Customer Service. CEO Henric Andersson contacted 11 July for help, and still no reply.
Useless product and awful management. Will never buy Flymo again.
Terrible after care service
Having purchased a robotic mower (Easilife 500), I could not get it to work.
After lengthy waiting times on phone (1 hour 50 minutes and 1 hour 10 minutes) I was told it was likely a defective battery and they had none in stock and don't know when they will have any. Then hung up!
Disgrace
I II purchased a Flymo Contour 500E…... Big Mistake!
I purchased a Flymo Contour 500E Strimmer. This is without doubt the worst purchase I have ever made of anything. I bought it on-line and regret not reading reviews beforehand. It is incredibly heavy and cumbersome to use. Plus awkward to assemble. The lines break constantly and my small patch of grass which should take a few minutes to deal with can take up to two hours. I finally lost patience with it today and have left it by the communal bins for anyone to take. I will never purchase anything from Flymo again.
At the end of the day having failed to be able to get anywhere with Flymo B&Q or trying to see if ebay had one I ended up having to throw the flymo away. DONT BUY ONE from anywhere selling older model
a family member purchased an Electric cordless lawnmower from Flymo and within 2 months usage one battery failed so the lawnmower was unusable as Flymo dont stock that specific battery any longer. Their customer service is non existent and they do not reply to email or any other forms of contact. These lawnmowers still sell in places like B&Q and should be withdrawn if no product support is available
Rubbish customer service
Rubbish customer service. I emailed them on 28th April about a stupid plastic "bolt" that holds the handle to the mower snapping. All I get is a holding message saying how COVID means a slightly longer reply.
I would not recommend that anyone buy a Flymo, or if they do, pray that it doesn't go wrong as I am beginning to wonder how much their "warranty" is actually worth!
Come on Flymo get your act together. Other companies have found ways of giving good service in this pandemic, why can't you?
The worst customer service anywhere
The worst customer service anywhere. Total incompetence, no response from their warranty team, just execrable.
Just pray nothing goes wrong
Just pray nothing goes wrong. Flymo customer services take some details then ignore you. I’ve been trying to sort out a faulty mower which was bought under a year ago since March.
No customer service means they effectively ignore warranties!
The battery on our Flymo Easilife Go 250 stopped holding ANY charge. As it was under a year old I tried to contact them for a warranty claim! I waited 50 minutes on hold in the end (tried 3 times) but never got through. I also emailed but didn't even get a confirmation email, let alone a reply.
Criminals! Avoid!
Flymo website claims their customer service is up to the standard quality of their products. I couldn't agree more. Both truly awful.
Bought Flymo garden vac Powervac 3000 end of September '21. Used perhaps 5 or 6 brief times before collection bag disintegrated into several holes. Not surprising looking at the flimsy cheap material it's made from. Managed one communication with Flymo when I complained November 4th when promised a replacement (which I assumed would be a better quality product as I saw that many reviewers had already pointed out the same poor quality), out of stock at that time. End of December - nothing. When I dug out my complaint on their website I see it's marked case closed. Has anyone actually managed to contact Flymo? Their customer service online is clearly designed to make it near possible. Disgraceful product and disgraceful service. If I had a barge pole I wouldn't touch any Flymo product with it.
Production standards have dropped
My 30+. years old garden vac developed a fault so I thought it had been so good I would buy the latest model as it would presumably have been developed and improved over that period. Unfortunately I was not correct in that assumption.
First of all the bag, it comes disassembled and you have to put it together yourself. The designer clearly started out with the desire to make that as difficult as possible, and then to have the rear of the bag to slip out of the poorly designed clips and cover the operator with the contents of the bag. I resorted to securing the whole thing with self tapping screws.
Today I was using it when it developed a worrying noise, then started vibrating vigorously. Switched off and removed the bag, luckily spotting the shredding impeller amongst the leaves. On inspection the plastic impeller is only pushed on to a very thin rod attached to the fan. There is nothing physically attaching the shredder and bearing in mind the revolutions that the shredder is subject to, and the cutting of leaves it is no wonder that it came off.
I have a feeling that this product is not going to have a long life. Standards at Flymo have obviously dropped significantly, I will be looking elsewhere in the future.
Have trie times to contact flymo…
Have tried four times to contact flymo about the battery off my lawnmower not charging to no avail it is still under warranty please help
Poor quality product.
The pivot pin on my brand new 360 lawnmower fell out within minutes and wont stay in therefore the handle falls off. Contacted Flymo by email numerous times and they never reply, Called them numerous times and they never answer the phone. Called ordering line which gets answered within minutes but all the can do is email customer services and they still dont respond. Poor quality product not fit for purpose and a known fault no wonder customer services are overwhelmed.
TERRIBLE Customer Service
I've had a Flymo Easylife 200 robotic lawnmower for barely over 12 months. All of a sudden, the product stopped working and after carrying out all the recommended troubleshooting I was still none the wiser.
I called their customer services line a number of times and everytime it just rings out and no one answers. Finally, on the sixth time of calling someone did pick up. They told me they would log my call with their technical team and someone would get back to me in 24 hours. That was 3 weeks ago and still no one has got back to me.
I've called several times again but same story - no answer. It's safe to say I will never buy a flymo product ever again.
The 300
The 300, 330, 360 Vision XL (EasiGlide Plus) suffer from brittle plastic and the tabs that attach the large window area to the grass collection box break. The smaller window EasiGlide versions are better although not as good quality as the older models (Easireel etc) that had longer leads which wound away into the top rather than exposed on the side of the sturdier handles. I now have the Flymo Glider Compact 330 AX which I consider to be better quality (Made in Sweden).
Utterly useless
So the lawnmower arrived and it was just awful, handles were bent, and manufacturing really poor indeed. Sent it back and despite them having it on the 8th June, still no refund even begun to be processed by 22nd June. Robbing scam artists !!!
Appalling customer services
Appalling customer services. Emailed and called few days after receiving the item. I wanted to return it - but after 2 calls, 2 emails, I am still awaiting to be told how to do this and it is nearly 2 weeks!!! Do not buy from this website!!!!!
Dubious 'warranty'
Robomower developed a fault in warranty period, drove 30 mins to drop it at one of their third party repair agents as advised. That was 3 months ago, and the agents don't seem interested in getting it fixed. Flymo customer support said they'd check up on it about a month ago but have since have stopped replying to emails. Shame as their product was great while it lasted.
Edit march 2024: Apparently Flymo just requested more information to verify my review, which I have now submitted. I eventually got the mower back but it took something like 3 months in total. It has been working okayish since.
