Once again force4 delivered ecellent service and a great product as usual.
Went into the Poole branch this morning looking for a solution to convert my existing Seatalk network to nmea. The customer service I received was outstanding, Miles was really knowledgeable, took time to listen and understand my current setup and offer a practical solution. I don't often write reviews however I felt the assistance I received today was exceptional!
Good prices and good straightforward service. I've used Force4 for several years. Never had a problem.
Bought a number of items recently, two rubber rope protectors recently which were delivered in 2 days, price always good, nothing to complain about to be honest
Purchased an automatic shower sump pump from Force 4 which developed a fault within the warranty period. Despite the manufacturer's attempts to avoid responsibility Kat managed to obtain a replacement for me. She phoned me on the day of my complaint and kept in touch regularly by email and phone until the matter was resolved. She couldn't have done more. Very satisfied!
i wrote a few messages to them regarding a return. Never replied. Went to my bank
This is not about Force4 but about the Neptune 4500 cooker that we bought from them.
1. This is a marine cooker but does not have a locking mechanism when in harbour. This means the heavy oven door tilts it forward when opened and stuff can fall out.
2. The safety mechanism for the oven is supposed to be used one handed but I couldn’t manage it.
3. The pot holders for the burners are more in the way than useful. None of my pans fit properly with them in place. Worked fine on my previous cooker.
4 the safety rail around the burners is too high so actually makes it more dangerous not less. Also difficult to remove bits to enable cleaning.
Altogether this is a very expensive disaster. Shame on Force 4 for buying and stocking this horrible product.
I ordered an automatic bilge pump on a Saturday, which they dispatched the next working day.
Unusually their courier DHL Tracking showed the collection but no subsequent tracking events
I spoke to a very friendly lady by phone who agreed the item looked to have been lost and offered to send a replacement using a different courier

Absolute crap company. For months I have tried to order items …. No stock, No stock….
I contacted them. They said they would look into it.
No reply - no answer. They shouldn’t be in business.

Ordered. Received numerous emails, 'order received' 'order bein proceesed' order packed' order under way' DHL to deliver'
None of the above true.
Two weeks later found out that THEIR SUPPLIER had not receiced their order for the item!!!!
Numerous email promising it will be delivered, but nothing.
In the end blaming DHL, who really work well in this country.
Not a chandlery but some sort of platform.
Never shall use again!

Customer Service does not exist. Purchased on line a Multiflex Steering solution, advertised with the wrong specifications. Tried to contact them via support email, facebook, instergram, nothing back. Will not use them again and regret it this time but they were the only company with this item.
Ordered a Navionics card and bought using the highest priced delivery service for £15 expecting the card to be here the next day or following day. So far it’s been 6 days with no card to show for it. They have stopped replying to my emails and will not answer my calls anymore after 5 try’s today. Won’t even offer any refund on the postage. Only to get told the other day that there cards are direct from supplier and they will chase it up. Clearly they are not chasing it up. After always using force 4 for work purposes I can happily say we will be using a new online chandlers now. Shocking customer service
Excellent. For a very long time I have been looking for a specific item (a hat) that went out of production some years ago. I’d pretty much given up hope of finding one but Force 4 had one on their website, reduced to a very attractive price because it was old stock, and they delivered it promptly. I’m absolutely delighted.
Really great customer service. When an item I received was found damaged when opened, the problem was sorted out over the phone straight away and to my complete satisfaction.

I have not been able to redeem my Force4 gift vouchers online. Nor have I been able to get through to the company by phone since August 2023 despite several long waits on hold. £100 of vouchers will expire on 31 December 2023. Money for nothing for Force4.
Recently visited the Plymouth branch and was impressed with the knowledge and advice I was provided. Very helpful, well stocked and good clothing range.
Shopped at their Port Hamble and Plymouth branches. Service and stock levels always been good. They try to stay competitive with prices but the convenience of immediate collection of gear is appreciated.
It's a shame to read negative reviews about this company as I recently bought a Sevylor inflatable kayak which was far cheaper than I had seen elsewhere and included paddles (basic but still good) and a pump which weren't available with other companies. The delivery was very prompt. We had only used once and on the second use when inflating we noticed a very large bulge. I contacted the customer service team and sent the photos. They sent this to the supplier to review and within 24hrs they had agreed for a courier to pick up the faulty kayak and send a replacement. Within 2 days we had a new kayak. The lady I dealt with kept me updated and was very polite and helpful. I would definitely use this company again.
Poor customer service. Staff member really didn't seem to have the time or willingness to help me. I felt she could not really be bothered and I was made to feel quite uncomfortable. In addition I did not appreciate the sarcasm that was also present when I questioned her knowledge of a product they sell which she seemed to think was inferior (You get what you pay for statement) and yet on questioning she said she didn't l know because she had never used it. Her tonality left little doubt about her attitude.
Was totally unwilling to help get a product from another store sent over to Shamrock Quay store.
Will be very reluctant to give this shop another visit.
I have used this busines many times in the past but will try all I can not to in the future. Marine bazar just down the road are a very good alternative.
They insist on card only , no cash. Once cash is removed from our life we will be at the mercy of having our accounts frozen by the authorities ( this goes on in China and has happened in Canada already) or the many options where the the banks system goes down.
