Fantastic experience with Fosters
After suffering a head injury in early 2023, and suffering horrible symptoms for over 2 years, it has been my great fortune to have had Chris Turner in my corner, making sure my personl injury case was handled correctly.
He has been fantastic from start to finish, with constant back and forth communication via emails and phone, never keeping me waiting for replies, and always explaining everything that I needed to know.

Great experience!
I had a really positive experience with Fosters Solicitors in Lowestoft. I was supported by Bernadette, Joanna, and Samantha, all of whom were equally great throughout what turned out to be a particularly tricky sale (due to issues on the buyer’s side).
Despite repeated delays and inconsistencies from the buyer and the agent, the team remained calm, responsive, and helpful at every stage. They answered all my questions clearly, responded promptly to emails and calls, and helped lay out my options when frustrations around the delay arose.
I felt well supported and informed throughout the process. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and would highly recommend them to others.

Worst Solicitor Experience Ever – Stay Away from Foster Solicitors Lowestoft
I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others about my experience with Foster Solicitors Lowestoft. Buying a house is stressful enough without having to constantly chase your solicitor for updates, answers, or basic competence.
Throughout the entire process, communication was abysmal. Emails went unanswered for days, and I was often left completely in the dark about the status of my purchase. When I did manage to get through, responses were vague, dismissive, or contradictory.
To make matters worse, their attitude was unapologetic and unprofessional. I didn’t feel like a valued client; I felt like an inconvenience.
After months of delays and wasted time, Foster Solicitors Lowestoft decided they no longer wanted to proceed with my case. They failed to provide any specific reason for this decision, only referencing vague concerns about meeting their money laundering policy. This was especially confusing and upsetting given that the person who referred us to them was in the exact same financial and personal position as us, yet faced no such issues. The inconsistency and lack of transparency raise serious concerns about discriminatory treatment.
I would strongly advise anyone considering Foster Solicitors Lowestoft to look elsewhere. Buying a property is too important to entrust to a solicitor who can’t manage even the basics or treat clients with fairness and respect.

With respect, I find your explanation unsatisfactory. If my application did not meet your AML requirements, that should have been identified and communicated from the outset — not nearly two months later, after repeated delays, ignored emails, and ongoing uncertainty. It is unacceptable to proceed with a client matter without first confirming they meet your basic compliance thresholds.
Even when you ultimately decided not to proceed, no one from your firm explained what part of my application was lacking or gave me an opportunity to resolve it. I was left completely in the dark. Thankfully, I found another solicitor who clearly explained the issue and guided me on how to address it — something Foster failed to do at any point.
To make matters worse, when I called to request an update on my searches, the staff member I spoke to was dismissive and rude, telling me that I was “not a priority at the moment.” That level of attitude and disregard is entirely unprofessional and added unnecessary stress to an already difficult process.
The overall lack of communication, respect, and transparency from your firm has been extremely disappointing.

Regarding the decision to not proceed with your matter, this was taken in accordance with our strict obligations under the UK’s anti money laundering (AML) laws. As regulated solicitors under the Money Laundering Regulations 2017 and the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, we are legally required to conduct thorough due diligence on all clients and transactions. This includes sometimes making sensitive decisions.
These requirements apply uniformly. Our duty is to be consistent, proportionate, and fully compliant—not to guarantee identical outcomes in every case. I’m afraid the information you provided, did not meet our requirements.
