Avoid it all costs
Avoid it all costs. Got halfway through my Will so I decided not to go ahead with this company. Didn’t even finish up and got an email saying my Will was finalised questioned it and got a very abusive email back.
Update - anyone reading their reply to this will be absolutely staggered that this is from a professional company and will be very detrimental to them once people read it. I’m staggered that they’ve put this reply on here as well.At least everyone gets to see this.
It’s also worth noting that the person who replied to this clearly has some issues or is going through some issues so hopefully they get the help that they need

let's put this to the public vote shall we?
1. You drafted your will. You went through the whole process. There are ten stages at which point, your will draft is generated, you are emailed that draft will and informed that it is going to be checked by our solicitors.
2. You filled in your account information, your executors, your beneficiaries, your funeral information and as if by magic, you processed your will which then came through to us to check.
3. We check your will and email it through to you.
Your response........And we have included your spelling errors.
"Excuse me, I never finished this world and I actually left the page before I completed it because I changed my mind. What the hell is this?"
Our response......
"I’m not sure if you’re having a bad day, Craig, but don’t you ever email my staff in that manner again. You’re now free to go elsewhere."
You then responded....
"Wow, this is possibly the most unprofessional email I’ve ever had in my life and I will be posting this all over social media"
Am I missing something here? Is anybody reading this missing something here?
Now let me be very clear to you, Craig.
We provide a free will service, saving you about £200 and we take our time and effort to ensure that YOU get a free will checked by a solicitor and I will not EVER tolerate emails from anyone in the manner that you emailed us and if you do, you will be responded to in the same manner. Like of Like. Any you think you can treat people like that and expect a fluffy pillow and soft beanbag response? No, Craig.
If your feelings were hurt by that......I do not care. Put on your big boy pants and take it on the chin. You do not send abusive emails to any of my staff and expect a polite response in return. The customer is not always right, and you certainly were not in this instance.
Now off you pop.
Craig, stop embarrassing yourself.
Update [after Craigs third update because he just can't let go]. Craig, here is part of an email from a client who has read our 1* review from you.
"Hi Amanda
Thanks so much for your prompt reply, I also took the opportunity which you pointed out and viewed your reviews on Trustpilot. The vast majority are very positive and I found it quite refreshing how you defend yourselves to the bad reviews and zero tolerance to unacceptable behaviour. ( I found your company name which was recommended by the Money Saving Expert website )"
So, Craig, we now endeth this relationship with you. I would like to say it's 'not you, it's me'....But it really is you. Now please take you negative energy elsewhere, perhaps have a cup of tea and reflect on your behaviour.

Doing my will through FreeWills.co.uk was a straightforward and clear experience for someone like me without any legal experience. Not only that, there was a swift response when I found myself with questions, and support and advice which enabled me to navigate elements which were not straightforward. In the end, with personal help from FreeWills I was able to deal with other implications which arose. Absolutely excellent service.

Excellent will service
Excellent service providing a free will that is legal and free of charge for pdf copy of will (you can pay a bit extra if you so wish for a paper copy, or to have your will registered on the national wills database, which I did pay for this as I imagine having it registered helps. It was easy to complete the will online, very straightforward. Then I printed it off and you can get a couple of independent people (work colleagues, doctor, etc) to witness it. All in all a very good free / low cost service thanks.

First Class Service
Solicitors and Free are two words you very rarely see together so I was sceptical when I saw the offer. But yes it is true and not only that this company offer a first class service. The online template is both easy to understand and complete. I completed and submitted the will at the request of my partner. The first draft was not right but this was due to my mistake entering a paragraph in the wrong place. This was quickly rectified and another draft sent.
All email enquiries are quickly answered with friendly and helpful advice. And yes this was all free. In this day and age when services such as these are so expensive and generally substandard it was a pleasure dealing with FreeWill.co.uk. Thank you
