Exceptional quality and look amazing..
I have recently purchased 3 privacy garden trellis, posts and toppers from this company. They were delivered by a very friendly delivery man who answered my questions about fitting them onto a very old slate and brick wall in my garden. I had them fitted onto my wall the next day and can honestly say they have exceeded my expectations in every way..absolutely love the olive colour they have been painted, they look classy, extremely well made and sturdy. They have given me that extra privacy I have wanted and even the fitter said he was totally impressed with the quality and how amazing they look. Worth the cost and I am so very pleased with my purchase....I can highly recommend this company for sheer professional quality and workmanship I will definitely be purchasing from them again..

We are a business
We are a business. I made a mistake on the address for the delivery. The company were totally inflexible and wouldn't change the address (not yet delivered but on route) and then returned items and charged an additional delivery charge.

We understand that customers can sometimes make mistakes with delivery addresses. Unfortunately, once an order has been processed and payment accepted, we are unable to change the delivery address, as this would not comply with the regulations and security measures surrounding online purchases. We believe this was explained at the time your enquiry was made. We did offer you the option to pay by bank transfer and we would refund your card payment, this would then allow the address to be changed, but this was not done until the end of the day which was then too late to redirect the order for you. We feel we were as flexible as we could be under the circumstances.
As the delivery could not be completed to the original address provided, the order was returned to us, and the additional delivery charge covered the cost of resending the items.
We appreciate your comments and are sorry we couldn't offer the flexibility you were hoping for. We are always happy to help where we can within the requirements we must follow.

Wood quality and finish to be improved!
We bought from the Trellis Company on the assumption they would provide top quality trellises.
But we were only mildly satisfied.
The quality of the wood and the finish is NOT top quality. The trellis have rough surfaces in some part, some chips and even some minor bumps. It feels more like a second hand trellis from reclaimed wood than premium quality ones.
It looks good from a distance and the colour is gorgeous. But don't look too close!
Added comment - order ref order SO8059. Since we ordered the most expensive available, I assume it was you prestige range!

We are sorry to hear that the trellis did not fully meet your expectations. Unfortunately, we cannot locate an order under the name used for this review, so we are unable to verify exactly which product was purchased.
From your description, it is possible that you purchased from our Standard Range. These products are manufactured from planed timber, but they are not sanded smooth. As timber is a natural material, some minor naturally occurring characteristics such as small knots, slight surface irregularities, chips, or bumps can occasionally be present and are considered normal within the specification of this range.
We would like to reassure you that our products are made from new, quality timber and are certainly not rough-sawn, reclaimed, or second-hand materials.
If you were seeking a perfectly smooth, furniture-quality finish, our RHS Prestige Range may have been more suited to your requirements. These premium products are manufactured using joinery-grade timbers and are sanded smooth throughout, which is reflected in their higher price point.
We appreciate your comments and are pleased to hear that you liked the overall appearance and colour of the trellis. If you would like to contact us directly with your order details, we would be happy to discuss your concerns further.

Unfortunately, as your review does not include your name or order details, we’re unable to look into your purchase specifically. However, in our experience, customers are sometimes expecting the finish and specification of our Prestige range while purchasing from the lower-priced Standard range.
Our Prestige products are priced accordingly to reflect their higher grade and finish, whereas the Standard range is designed to offer a more budget-friendly option. We do make every effort to clearly explain the differences between the ranges through our product descriptions and website images, although we appreciate that not every customer will review these details fully before ordering.
We do value all customer feedback and will continue working to make the distinctions between our ranges as clear as possible.

My order was easy to make - when the delivery arrived - really nice trellis but sadly it was damaged in transit - I emailed them with a polite message accompanied with photos of packaging and damaged trellis .. Because I arrived home from work after their office hours - by the time I looked this morning to see if I had a reply - I already had a FEDEX tracking ref to say a replacement on the way. Yes there was an issue but they handled it quickly and without fuss - so this I feel in this day and age is a HUGE star rating - I will be a returning customer in the future!

Very well made new trellis toppers (arched)
Needed some new trellis toppers to replace ones that had gone rotten and falling apart. Nice choice of styles and was able to get the exact height, width and curve that I needed to match the rest of the fence. These seem very well made compared to the old ones I had, and hoping that they will last a good time. Quick service and painless delivery and all in all extremely pleased with purchase.

Ordered an unpainted natural wood
Ordered an unpainted natural wood colour to match the three panels I have already bought from “Garden Trellis”
Although the trellis is well made, it is of a heavier
thicker wood, and mismatches my 3 fitted trellis sections, from “Garden Trellis” in colour and manufacture.

We’re pleased to hear that you found the trellis to be well made, although we’re sorry for the confusion regarding the difference in appearance.
The original panels you previously ordered were from our standard range, whereas the panel you most recently ordered was from our RHS Prestige range.
The RHS Prestige range is manufactured using Thermally Treated Timber and the framing and slat are thicker, which is why it differed slightly in both construction and colour from the standard range panels you already had installed.
We can see that this has now been resolved and that a matching panel has since been delivered to you. If you need any assistance with future orders, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

Very bad service on trellis which fell apart
Very bad! Just complained about a trellis which we bought and it literally fell apart. You wouldnt believe it. They said I put it up wrong - but they sent no assembly instructions?!? Asked for a discount to replace it and they offered me nothing. Never use them again!

We’re sorry to hear you’re disappointed with your trellis.
Having reviewed your order, the panels were purchased over three years outside of the stated warranty period. While we would not normally expect panels to fail, the images provided show the trellis tied to a low roof terrace railing, with a significant portion of the panel unsupported and exposed to movement. In windy conditions, this type of installation would unfortunately place considerable strain on the structure and can cause panels to come apart.
As outlined in our online guides and on the product page, trellis panels must be secured to appropriately installed posts to ensure stability. Because installations vary widely depending on the setting and intended use, we do not supply bespoke fitting instructions with each order. We provide guidance resources to help customers plan their installation, including advice on suitable posts and support requirements. Where customers are unsure, we would recommend either using our own installation service or seek advice from their preferred installer.
While we’re unable to offer free of charge replacements or the level of discount requested in this instance, we did offer a goodwill 10% discount should you wish to replace them, along with advice on how best to install the new panels to prevent recurrence.
We are always happy to offer advice before purchase to help ensure the correct products selected.
Not a good as expected
The timber of the slatted wall topper panel looks to be well treated with preservative so should ward off rot and insect infestation. However, I’m highly dubious if the flimsy sections of timber used and the stapled construction will stand the test of time, it all feels a bit ‘lightweight’. The spiked post were chunky enough for the job but required the installer to spend much more time getting them set as 4 out of the 5 delivered had the steel rods inserted at an angle which then necessitated larger holes to be bored in the bricks and longer curing time for the resin fixing…and cost to me.
Overall, the Jacksons Fencing alternative would probably have been significantly better for just a little more.

Regarding the construction of the slatted wall topper panels, we’d like to note that we clearly state the size and specification of all timbers used on our website, allowing customers to make a fully informed choice prior to purchase.
With reference to your comparison with an alternative supplier, it can be difficult to make a like-for-like comparison, as some manufacturers do not advertise the timber sizes used in their panels. We do, however, offer a wide variety of fencing and topper panels with differing specifications to suit different requirements and budgets. Our RHS Prestige range is our most robust option, and while this is reflected in the price, we recognise that it may not be suitable or affordable for every customer. For this reason, we aim to provide the best possible solution based on individual budgets and needs.
We’re particularly concerned to hear about the issues you experienced with the spiked posts. The steel studding is inserted by machine specifically to ensure accuracy and consistency, so we’re unable to see how this would normally occur. If possible, we would appreciate it if you could send us images of the angled studding so we can investigate this further.
