Poor customer service
Poor customer service. I was super excited to send a family member a gift in another state, it seemed like it would be a lot easier than shipping a gift myself like I usually do. However, beware because they use ShopPay as the only method you can pay with. This became an issue because when the site redirected me to ShopPay to pay, all I did was one click to pay and checkout and unknowingly to me, ShopPay changed all my shipping information and autofilled with my own address. I didn’t catch this because the checkout screen didn’t show that it had changed my address, and I had already entered my family members address when I was checking out on the Gift Box Love Co website. This resulted in the box getting shipped to me instead of my family member. I reached out to the company to ask for a new label so I can ship it to my family member, and they essentially said it was ShopPays autofill system and it’s not their problem to fix it. I can understand it is not necessarily their problem, but this was the only method they allowed you to checkout with, and I don’t feel it is my fault that ShopPay changed the shipping address after I had already filled out the shipping information on the Gift Box website. How was I to know that ShopPay would change everything I already filled out?Overall I think Gift Box Love Co should offer other ways to checkout besides using ShopPay, because I’m sure I’m also not the only one this has happened to. I think they should’ve had better customer service and just simply emailed me a new label so I can mail it to my family member. This glitch is not the customers fault, but they had a “it’s not my problem” mindset. Instead I had to pay $15 at the post office to ship it to her myself, which was so highly frustrating considering the whole reason I chose to do this was to avoid the hassle of paying for and shipping it myself. The product seems like a cute idea, which is a shame because I don’t know if I’ll use them again because of the poor customer service with shipping and ShopPay issue.
